Nothing atm, theres no good alternative on the market, as I'm not into playing dwarves and happy elves. Looking forward to Q4 2007/Q1 2008.

I'd have to say Anarchy Online. Never tried Planetside, and SWG is crap nowadays.

At least it might steal some of WoW's subscriptions. Not that I think Blizzard is even going to notice.

I think that what we should do is tone down the graphics. We should have graphic settings. High detail, like PS3 graphics for those who have 2 GB RAM and 512 MB graphics card.
Tell me what you all think in this server. Maybe we can make an MMO.

The game runs on the White Engine, an all-new exclusive seventh generation game engine built for Square Enix's future games. Both the engine and the game were originally slated to be used with the PlayStation 2 but were later moved to the PlayStation 3.

Sounds to me like it's something that is/was developed inhouse at square enix, aka I don't think its available for anyone but them..

Once again you got it wrong,it's 220.If you are gonna bash a game without no knowlegde of it,atleast do some research on it,it make you sound a little less dumb

And it would have been a typo if you said 300 one time, not three times, nice try though

220 + 20/30? Alien Level. Did Lost Eden bring new Levels? Im not sure :S.

No, not really any new levels. The research lines just amounts to more grind. 200RK, 20SL, 30AI, still.

The OP is obviously an attention-hungry moron.

Unless you previously played a nano-technician (they got some sick new nukes with LE), or have longed for equipping QL300 symbiants, i'd say no.

Basicly what you get for your $30 is;

  • New weapons (10% increase in damage from AI weapons, unless you're a soldier or a fixer - FA req on MK6 smg)
  • Mechs, sure they're cool but so far they don't really serve a purpose.
  • Some anti-zerg methods (50k area nukes from space in NW that might serve as a solution to the zerging (not quite the way it seemed to have turned out in the end though)
  • Research lines, for some professions theres some nice stuff in there, for example, MA's get a 19% crit proc. But for most professions it's just another abilityboost to get higher symbiants on.
  • Ability for 'instanced' PVP on the battlestations - in reality though, you'll find yourself waiting for hours since hardly anyone ever attends (you need an equal amount of people of the same level on each side to even enter)
  • Instanced alien missions (now this is probably the best thing about LE, they give decent AXP, Victory points - for LE weapons/armor , the level designs are quite impressive too, but once you've done a couple you've seen it all. It's a nice change from the APF/city grinding, but it's still a grind.)
  •  Nemesis nanos - some of them are somewhat useful, like the traders reflect drain (poor soldiers in AMS/TMS).  But most don't quite cut it, given they're hard to land and have a capped cast-time.

I did quit right before LE release (was in beta, figured it wasn't worth it, had been hoping LE would 'save' AO), but as far as I can tell from browsing through the forums every now and then nothing big has changed, just some minor adjustments/bugfixes.

I'd have to say Anarchy Online, not because of the game, it was a mess in beta (still was at release), but the community was one of the greatest i've ever seen in a game, and it still is. I was really hyped about the game before beta-testing it, I mean, FINALLY a sci-fi MMORPG - Never really got into EVE, too much... Flying around ;).  Now i'm just seeing all the fantasy-genre clones pass by waiting for another sci-fi mmo.. God, I hope Tabula Rasa isn't as big a let down as i'm afraid it will be.
