The mechanics of the game make it to where drastic changes cannot be made. Merge servers will keep the population a bit more stable I believe and that coule be one thing that helps |

You are being way to picky. Its a monitor and they are as disposable as printers at this point since they are so cheap. Any Samsung or ASUS should suit your needs. |

I personally really like TERA but in small doses right now. The combat is great but everything else is simply so so at best. It fills my need for sword and board fantasy while EVE remains the game I just cant quit. |

"SWTOR Not a Priority for Development"
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 5/15/12 3:24:57 PM
That thump you just heard was some poor schmuk in the PR department just jump out the window. Stupid statement to make in a game that is suffering to just maintain its current numbers just a few months post launch. |

Seems many new MMO games are one and done types where creating an alt is either the exact same path or pointless. I like TSW though as it is something different anyways. |

SWTOR subs dip from 1.7 Million to 1.3
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 5/07/12 5:32:43 PM
Its done stick a fork in her. 1.3 is still a good number but the decline is obvious and for the moster hit everyone predicted even the 1.7 million number was low. |

I really do like TERA more than any other fantasy MMO as of late but sadly it is another quick level curve game with little endgame payoff yet and thats after a year out in Korea. The political system is ok but lets be honest and admit its only a good idea on paper. GW2 weekend was a massive disappointment but I believe it will get better before launch. TERA is beautiful and has a true world feel which is nice. Crafting is as big a money sink as Aion but pointless other than alchemy. The community is also horrible so far. Game has both great and bad points but I think once TSW and GW2 hits it will be empty. |

How anybody can find this PAY TO TEST OUR GAME acceptable is beyond me
Beta Weekend Event Reviews & Impressions « Guild Wars 2 4/29/12 9:14:47 AM
This is beta though. There is no release date as of yet so you cannot really call this a marketing beta. Paying full price ahead of time was everyones own choice. Although I am a bit disappointed in the game itself all the problems I expected and took with a grain of salt. Hopefully the feedback will make the next weekend better than this one was.

Guild Wars 2 is... (Poll Inside!)
Beta Weekend Event Reviews & Impressions « Guild Wars 2 4/28/12 12:57:04 PM
The more I play the more I see it as OK. I do not regret pre purchasing and I will be there opening day but I think this is the last of the beta weekends I will try otherwise it might kill any desire I have to play this game.

Most of the beta hiccups are expected and not disappointed in that regard. I enjoy the atmosphere and the combat is ok. The only negative I have is I hate the cutscenes. They are right out shit IMO and would rather just read a wall of text. But then if thats my biggest gripe then all must be well or as expected.

Depends on what you want to do. My advice is figure out what exactly you want to do in the short term and specialize in that. It will go a long ways to helping you understand things a bit better. Join EVE Uni as well and it will give you a decent foundation. Having the ability to do anything without direction can be overwhelming to some. |

A EA Exec tells you to save TOR, What do you do?
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 4/14/12 8:33:38 AM
Its game design is done so that drastic changes would be impossible. The game was designed for the short term subscriber in mind. Sell a ton of boxes, hope people sub for 3-6 months then rinse and repeat. It really is a McDonalds style MMO where you go for a quick fix then move on. I believe that is how BW envisioned it. I just do not see how they thought someone would be willing or want to play it beyond that kind of time frame. |

Amazing new "Scroll of Resurrection" Incentives!!!
General Discussion « World of Warcraft 3/06/12 5:25:34 PM
Me thinks someone at Blizzard is horribly misinformed as to why folks are leaving in mass right now. O how the mighty hath fallen in such a short time span. Everyone was right through the years though that the only thing that would kill WOW was Blizz and they are doing a very good job. |

How could you not want to play Guild Wars 2?
General Discussion « Guild Wars 2 2/28/12 3:20:11 AM
The better question would be: Why are you not skeptical of GW2?
None of us have spent 1 second in the game but people have treated sneak peaks and press releases as gospel and the word of god. I am excited for it but at the same time the hype is so feverish it could just as well end up a steaming pile of shit. People are all worked up but again none of you have even played it yet with any amount of real time. |

Anyone could see this coming. L2 is a much better game in every way except graphically than Aion so although I think many will show up I just do not see many staying for any type of long term stay. |
