What are the limitations of the F2P? Do they restrict your ability bars? That still takes the cake for most nonsensical restriction I think.

 

I was looking at their discovery edition restrictions. Not the same thing as F2P i guess.

You may only have 1 Discovery Edition on your En Masse account.

• Max level 28
• 200g limit
• Max gathering skill of 150
• Max crafting skill of 100
• 2 characters per server

Chat restrictions:

• Area chat
• Global Chat
• Trade Chat
• Bargaining at the brokerage
• Party search
• Whispers (you will be able to whisper to players on your friends list)

Limits to:

• Bank. You cannot deposit gold into your bank.
• Parcel. You may not send parcel messages, but you may receive them.
• Friends List. You may not add people to your friends list, but other may add you to their friends list. If someone adds you to their friends list they will show up on your friends list.
• Whispers. You may only whisper your friends.
• Guild. You may not apply to or create a guild, but if invited, you may accept a guild invite.
• Trade Broker. You may not post items for sale, but you may purchase items.

Other restrictions:

• No dueling, death matches, or battlegrounds.
• No trading.
• You may not transfer to another server.

Which doesnt seem too bad. So i will probably give this another try. Didnt actualy get far into it.

 

A level limit of 28? That is harsh.

I just had a look at the TERA europe Free to play comparisson chart, and there is no level limit and skill limit there.

As an EVE player I can confirm (at least for myself) that you are spot on with your last paragraph.

I love the idea of landing on a planet and do combat there with the avatar (although this has absolutely nothing to do with anything in EVE at all), but only if that was possible from within the EVE game itself. Even if it was on the PC, but required a different program to be launched next to EVE, then my interest would already fade.

But indeed, not going to buy a PS3. Ever.

You don't need to craft anything, or even look to find anything specific if you goal is just to beat the game on normal (read: super easy) mode.

The idea of this game genre is to keep playing the same content (at the highest difficulty level) and grind for gear. Look for that elusive better item all the time.

If you just play this once trough the story, then I don't think you will like this game much.

Not unless you find a group of other people who are stuck at 85.

No, you will most likely feel very alone as everyone else is level 90 and doing level 90 content.

Also keep in mind that Blizzard only tries to balance for max level. At level 85 strange things might happen, but perhaps that can also be seen as a positive :p

I actually really liked the NWN1 complexity in building. I don't expect to see a simple programming or scripting language here tho. Perhaps it won't be needed.

It could be a variant on motion sickness.

Glasses or contact lenses may help, changing lighting may help. Just playing more might help, but you will likely throw up.

Barber (or grooming salon for pets and charr, plant stylist for the sylvari) to change hair style and color.

I strategically picked a hair style that would avoid most clipping, but I grew bored with it and it clips anyway, like many things do. A barber somewhere in one of the cities could offer a solution.

I had the same problem. Could not remember any of the full names.

Luckly for me, a friend still had a very old screenshot folder with a couple GW1 shots. Including name tags :p

Which gets us to your FPS...    There's more to the spec-story than you're telling us.    An "HD4800 series" card can be a cheap-bottom-dwelling card or a robust, but obsolete (DX) card.   I'm suspecting it's a shared memory or low-memory card integrated card, but I have no proof.

There is no HD 4800 card that is integrated or uses shared memory.

The lowest possible variant is the HD 4830 with 512 MB dedicated GDDR3. It's outdated in that it only supports up to DX 10.1. 57.6 GB/s bandwidth (integrated cards are at less than 12.8 GB/s).

He should be able to use higher settings with that card than what he posted in the schreenshot. Like you said, there must be something else to the spec-story that prevents him from doing that, or he put everything on low on purpose, and setting half the settings on high would give the same fps result. Since not all of the settings have any noticable effect on fps.

I have not played WoW in 5 months and have not played Diablo3 in 3 weeks :s

I decided against MoP before Diablo3 was released, hoping it would hold my attention.

I also have bought GW2, but I can not say that GW2 is the reason I won't buy MoP. Beying bored with WoW is the true reason.

first generation i7.

mobile radeon HD 5870.

~25 fps in divinity reach, ~50 fps in uncrowded queensdale.

Most settings on high, and most settings don't really affect the framerate noticable, except for shaders (set on high) and render sampling (set on native).

Even changing resolution does not seem to affect the fps much. It's the same on 1680/1050, 1920/1080, 1920/1200.

I have capped the fps at 30 now to avoid the laptop going into highest cooling mode.

I'm a bit disappointed at framerates in cities and crouwded areas. And the only way to get noticable better performance is by lowering shaders to low. Changing the render sampling is no option, because that makes the game look absurdly ugly like in the OPs screenshot.

I also have a desktop with the same specs (only in name of course). I have not seen the framerate drop below 50fps here even when I set render sampling to highest.

My newest computer with a 2e generation i7 and an HD 6850 also manages to stay above 50fps, unless I increase render sampling beyond native. Wich makes sense since the 6850 is slightly weaker than the 5870. The better i7 processor obviously is no help there.

You should not use the same password for different services.

When you get compromised on one, all the others are also affected.

Gameforge actually is something different. It is a name that already exists since 2003 and they focus on browser based games.
