I won a Copy of AoC On MMORPG.com so all in all I got 6 days+30 Days+30 days+14 more if I cancel and cubscribe again. so 20$ for 80 Days of game play for me is more than worth it, espcially when the game is this good. 3.) Pro's - Great graphics, story, awesome classes to choose (although maybe not all perfectly balanced) an amazing world to explore. Best combat in any MMO ever. Great PvE proboly the best out there and the PvP is good too, and keeeps on improving. Its a casual game and you level up quickly, always feel like your progressing. Con's - This game has some zoning and instances its not a complete open world. After tortage (20+) Few NPC's have voices, although the script is still as good as ever. You can get ganked by Higher levels, although I find it adds to the fun and suspense and I enjoy iy personally. 4.) People normally Quest, Seige battle, Harvest resources, build cities, raid for high end gear (the gear might not be as epic as say in Wow [never played it] but the instanced and raids are the most immersive and fun I have ever played. I climbed a mountain to kill a 50 Ft. Ice troll It was awesome. There is soooo much to do in this game its awesome. 5.) I never played WoW, but I would proboly say AoC has WAY more potential than WoW. But WoW is polished to a degree that very few MMO's will ever see. 7.) I Would say try it! I am loving it and cant wait to get to the higher levels to see what else is in store |

Holy Crap! I Just want to say THANK YOU to Mr. Craig Morrison. Never in any game have a ever seen the actual game director so active in the community. I have seen you posting on various forums and websites everywhere on the net. I wasnt with AoC at launch, nor do I know who the old director was, but Morrison knows whats up. If anyone will 'fix' AoC (although I already think its awesome) it will be Morrison I just started playing AoC since 1.05 and I am loving every bit of it. I check Video Game websites every days and Morrison and his team are out promoting the game and doing interviews. AoC has been getting much need positive exposure. I cant wait for the Iron Tower, I think it will be a great addition to the game. But If you are reading this (which you proboly will) then I think this is the Feature Players want the most (Including myself): Those PvP Towers in the boarderlands that any guild can capture and hold, and they generate resources the longer you hold them. I think this would be a great addition to the game, Espcially if a good 6 man team is capable of taking a tower by themselfs. Add PvP towers, it would be amazing and add hundreds of hours to the game from guilds just fighting to control these towers. Keep it up Silirrion |

Most populated server in the game in Tyranny (PvP server) For PvE servers I have a 24 Dark Templar on Set and set is full of action, even past tortage. Assasins well lets say this. I was in a PvP minigame and I was a Necromancer and an assasin caught me without any minions and he was cloaked, so he came up behind me and like 3 shottted me before I could barely get a spell off. I would say their not underpowered, good for soloing it seems. PoM's I have to say I havent noticed to bad of balancing. I think that they are decent but no PoM's ever heal it seems. I mean if you wanna be a caster why not just roll tempest of set. |

Hello everyone.
Ive been playing AoC recently and I have been loving it. I tried both the PvE and PvP servers and enjoyed them both. I think I have found a way to fix the PvP servers (if the devs implemented these 2 features) There would be 2 rules I would add to PvP. 1.) You can only attack a player 5 levels above or below your own characters level. For Ex. A level 17 could only attack a maximum level 22 or attempt to gank a level 12. If you were in a group with more then 1 person you could attack someone additional 5 levels above (5x# players in group = # levels above your are allowed to attack). For example if you have 3 people if you group you could attack someone 15 levels higher than the highest ranked player if if you had 5 people in the group, 25 levels higher then the highest ranked in your group, But a group could still only attack someone 5 levels lower than the highest ranked member of the party. 2.) A player can only die once every 5 minutes from another player in open-world PvP. (excludes Mini-games and Keep Seiges [which I have not tried yet]) Implementing this rule would completely get rid of spawn camping. Because if someone ganks you and you respawn you get 5 minutes to run away, or hide, or form a group, or try something new. Your not just going to respawn and get farmed over and over again. I know there is like a 5 second buffer or something like that, but it needs to be dramatically increased.
What do you guys think? Would these 2 features fix the PvP servers in Conan? |

I have found it! DAOC, level 50, attainable in 1 week (if you PL like a mofo and get into the right guild, otherwise it takes like 1 month if you play alot. It took me like 4 months but I am a VERY casual gamer, (1-2 times a week). The games PvP is abosulutely stunning. Keep in mind this is coming from a guy who has only played GW (my first MMO), then DAoC. You will love it trust me! For an even shorter grind join the classic servers. The game and every expansion costs like 40$. BUt it does have monthly fee of 14 hope that helped |

I heard in GWF you can fight for territory and guilds can form alliances and theres new types of PvP, are these new types playable in original GW?

DAoC for its custom UI's (not original which is horrid) and GW for its standard.

I find it amazing you havent played DAoC yet. TRY IT! its exactly what your looking for. For you I would 100% reccomend DONT PLAY ON CLASSIC SERVERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cant stress that enough. PLay on a normal server for all the raids and a bigger grind and such. |

Which classes are strong for PvE server ?
Round Table Pub (General) « Dark Age of Camelot 2/19/06 9:17:24 PM
Vamps are PvE king! I have a vamp and they own so hard in PvE. Solo reds easily. A Vamp/bard combo is killer. Expcially when vamps get their CL abilitys and can self heal and get a shield.

Lamorak is very good for its community. Guilds will invite anyone into their guild, there just happy to have you. I could get you in VISION. if you roll Hib in lamorak. RvR friendly classes in Hib are: Bard, Druid, Animist, Bainshee, eldritch, Basically casters and healers lol. |

Can someone help me pick one to try?

I would reccomend going back to DAoC The devs are really LISTENING to us! They respond alot and actully seem to care. In their last few patches they have 'nerfed' ToA (which might have sent you running, but now. theres nothing to fear) And are drastically trying to balance the realms by nerfing/giving love to classes. They just release a new expansion DR which brings alot to the game such as player mounts, CL's, Champion weapons, and REALLY fun quests. DAoC is only improving from my view. Did I mention it has the MOST mature community on Lamorak server anyways. Almost everyone that plays the game is 18+. RvR is fun, and well organized. Most people choose to go on vent, which makes the expierence that much better. I would SERIOUSLY give DAoC another look if I were you. Great things are just around the corner. |

O.o then where do you level. I was thinking still in catacombs. Are you doing quests in the underground forest? Anything in the "original" world (no expansions ect...) I cant see would give you more. |

What makes a good 50 guild? Thats a simple one. The guild must have alot of members, and alot of 50s, thats all it takes seriously. A good RvR group consists of just being a FG with a 1-2 healers, 1-3 casters, 1-3 tanks. All you need is a FG in RvR and you should be good. A good guild is an active guild. Almost ANY guild except for starter guild is a good guild |
