Ok so we'll mark that down as they would rather we all registered on different forums and waste our time rather than make it easy for the customer.

OK what about the 'open party' thing has that been answered by another 'we are great we don't need to listen to you' post?

...why the hell are there no official war forums for me to air my grievances? They said they would rely on third party vendors for their forums what a bunch of cheapskates and NOT very customer focused. Why should I have to reregister my details on a load of other websites with mutliple logins when I could have just used my war details (already entered) to post on the official forums?!? It's a big in joke for me and my friends...'we can post about this on the official forums'....yeah the official forums that don't exist.

Secondly what's with this 'our open group option is much better than an LFG system'...utter tosh!! While it 'may' work on heavily populated realms on my realm where people are scarce it's hopeless. What if I'm in chaos lands but want to see if there is a group in Mount Gunbad...I have to make the effort to fly to that zone then ride the long distance to get to Gunbad only to find it empty. However if you went round all the tier 3 zones you might get enough of a group to do it but this means physically going round all the zones and shouting for more people....and this is better how?!?  Also when me and my buddies are running we sometimes forget to close the party, we go and do some quests, wander into a PQ area and some poor soul joins us in the hope we are doing the PQ and it then falls to us to dash their hopes. You should be allowed the ability to specify what your open party is for i.e. doing random quests, PQ's, RVR without it changing all the time dependant on where you are. Also allow people to see all open groups in the whole tier not just the zone so people can see there is an open group in mount Gunbad.

I have a few chars with the highest level being 25 and as far as I can see the servers are desserted. Impossible to do any PQs at all, rvr is dead usually you will find a max of 1 or 2 people wandering the rvr wastelands in the forlorn hope of finding an enemy player. Scenarios when they happen are always the same one, nordenwatch for tier 1, mourkain temple for tier 2 and tor anoc for tier 3. Don't get me wrong I love this game but atm it feels like I'm playing a single player game and I am starting to lose interest as a result. Can I ask the level 40s what it is like at 40? Note I actually saw another player last night!!

I should also add I usually play 9pm gmt to midnight.

Well after waiting 29 hours still no email but I just launched the game as I usually do when I check my email and it's now patching.....at last!!!

I think they gave away too many beta keys so they've stopped accepting any more codes regardless of whether you are CE or SE or just some random punter.

I preordered from D2D are other people who did the same able to play the OB yet or are they like me still waiting for the key validation 24+ hours later. Just trying to see if D2D got duff keys so I can go back to them about a refund as open beta was part of the spiel they use to sell the game if that is not delivered they are using false advertising and can be reported.

Still waiting from 4pm yesterday here, I tried sending off 5 more this morning, yes I know this could be counter productive but it seems to work for others, but no joy. Maybe I need to do it some more?

What's starting to worry me now is if this happens next week for the live launch. GOA seem incapable of correcting such a minor issue that the sheer level of incompetence is staggering. If I hadn't preordered from D2D I'd be off to the US servers in a shot, oh and I only preordered from D2D to get access to open beta, what a joke that is now.

I'm still playing the game and will be for a few months but I agree with the OP I don't like all the instancing and restricted maps/paths, It makes it feel like crappy guild wars not an mmorpg but a morpg and I stopped playing those games when mmorpgs came out.

This game is good enough to go on like Lotr but it's no classic and while it might attract a large initial following I suspect it will lose a lot of this when warhammer comes out, me included!

While it does 'sound' like things have improved the fact that such a bug strewn game was released showed a complete and utter lack of respect for the mmorpg community. When companies do such things they lose the trust of the people playing these games, me included. So I will never go back to this game they've already shown me they don't give a damn about me so I will do the same and never pay for their product.

Also the complete lack of a free trial of this game again says heaps, any company confident of having a quality product would be more than happy to let people have a taster, all the big 'good' mmorpgs do it. So I would say to anybody considering going back don't until you can see the game via a free trial.

I've had a quick look at the videos and screenshots of this game and it looks very dated and old, there are 2 'potentially' fanatastic new mmorpgs due out this year which look way better than Vanguard so why pay for something which has a poor history when you can end up paying for 'possibly' one of the best mmorpgs released in the last few years?

I'm guessing 0% as nearly all the wow players are less than 18 and this is a 17+ game
