I played Lotro for about 2 years on and off when it was a p2p game. I'd love to play a good Lotr game but I'm afraid Turbine dropped the ball long time ago. I liked Shadows of Angmar and even entering Moria was kind of fun but everything that came after was cheap garbage imho. Rune-keepers and Greek warriors called Wardens. Really? Tolkien must be spinning in his grave.

I'd play well made Middle Earth Online any time. Made by someone else of course.

Well they didn't. They took WoW+GW2 and mashed some TES skins on it.

Might be an OK game, but not much remaining of what makes the TES series so great.

False.  ANet was working on them before Rift was released.  Trion is a decent company, but basically they're known as the guys that made yet another WoW clone.

[mod edit] Maybe Anet folks used time machine to go back an give War and Rift devs the ultimate wisdom of "dynamic events"? Running in circles or from point A to point B is nothing to brag about though (imho).
