The whole "We are near" thing keeps leaving subscribers in the dark. There are broadcasts in the game and the video is a good indication of "They" being revealed sometime soon, by subscribers.
I personally hope its a new Fodderside program because I won't come back until the population is higher. |

Engineering cert pack, is that normal engineering, combat, assault, and fortifying for 9 or 10? Or is that just assault and fortification?
My last question is the same as all the PS players, what is this video about and when can we see the new content that its promising.
Someone had a theory about it being a mercenary race that all the Fodder program people were a part of, the mercenaries would be fighting for whoever needed troops the most. They could only use common vehicles.
This idea sounds accurate to me, taking into account the PS teams lack of manpower to create a 4th faction.

I can't compare to people who can camp the door of a tower with a Reaver or Mosquito, I'm just not that good. Its possible though, I think it just takes some extra effort. |

Greetings. I played Planetside for awhile. I played on the Emerald server, Vanu. My name was Rindel and I got to BR 15 and CR 2. I have a few questions to you subscribers who know the game pretty well.
First of all, I know I was looking for a few more guns and vehicles, I will list what I have heard and all I need is someone to tell me if what I have heard is valid. 1) Faction specific pistols with an incredible accuracy but slow rate of fire ? 2) Faction specific versions of the Sunderer (Vanu - Leviathian) ? 3) Flamethrower ? 4) New guided missle launcher ? 5) Added Assault and Fortification Enginnering certifications which lets you build new types of turrets and a special robot unit that can deploy tank traps, and shield batteries ? 6) Balanced out Combat Engineering by setting limitations on spitfire turret deployment ? 7) Galaxy gunship and Phantasm ?
I was just wondering what the galaxy gunship and phantasm were. I heard the phantasm was some sort of cloaked version of the galaxy but nothing beyond that. I know to use the new guns, you have to be a veteran, but whats a veteran? Do you have to have the 2-year, 3-year, or 4-year merit badge? Can someone give me a better idea of what the Assault and Fortification engineering certs have and how much the combined one costs?
My last question is that when I left, the PSR program was still going on. I know its ended and population levels are at a lull from what I hear. When will the PSR program come back? I know a recent dev interview reveals that the teams primary goal is reintroducing the program in one form another, any idea when that will be? I want to still have the Planetside experience by having lots of people fight in this one battle, but I am afraid that without the reserves program being active, that won't be possible.

I want to first thank you for posting such a two-sided, neutral review of Vanguard. A friend and I were looking for a game to play and we have tried all of the other ones such as WoW, SWG, EQ2 and such but we wanted to give this game a try. We were looking for a trial, but I now know that no trial is offered, but I think you made up my mind for me. I run a mediocre PC so I think I can deal with the performance issues, all the other downsides to the game seem to be problems I think I can put aside and still enjoy the game. I wanted to come on this website and these forums to read reviews about Vanguard, I wanted to read ups and downs of the game and I didn't want to read immature arguments. I appreciate you making that so easy. Thanks again. P.S. What server do you play on? I will probably see you in a couple days. |

I find it amusing that you use that example. Mainly because I work at the movies and it doesnt cost me anything  I will come back this Thanksgiving weekend and roll another character on another server. Thanks for the advice, I doubt Ill get bored anytime soon. |

I played WoW from release date to about February of this year. I have a level 60 paladin with some pretty horrible gear, Im pretty sure I had 3 or 4 pieces of the tier 0 dungeon set. (What was it called, lightforge?)
I didnt have the time to raid or anything like that, and I had already done all of the dungeons a bazillion times it seems (though it was probably much lower). So i quit, let a friend play my account for a while and he says he got me an epic (thats exciting for me because ive never had an epic in my inventory before) and some decks of cards? (not sure what those are) This thanksgiving, I will have a lot of free time on my hands and I think its worth $15 to play through thanksgiving and on certain occasions until it expires. Then there is X-mas break so there will be more time there too. I also have a 38 hunter with maxed out equipment. He has a really nice gun and really nice armor, all blue, and i use him to do PvP, nonstop. (used to atleast. Im not exactly a part of a social family, I do happen to be young and still living with my parents so they are restricting me from going anywhere (or so im told) So please dont say i should go spend time with my family this break. Just wondering what everyone thinks, with all of the new additions and everything. Thanks! |

Hehehe, youve gotten my hopes up.
Does anyone know if there is anything new out now for the VS? Or when the last stage will be or when is the next stage? How much new content they put in this will decide whether I come back or not :P |

I quit after that crap they pulled with taking all the vehicles away and having to do cave fighting to earn them back, I quit after we earned everything back and nothing happened.
Ive read articles about them adding some new vehicles such as the Phantasm, a cloaked transport ship. Ive also read about some new guns. I will happily come back when this is implemented, I am just wondering if anyone knows when that will be. |

Ragnarok is the only 2d MMO i can think of but it aint free.
PristonTale gets pretty close. Free til level 39 but thats onlg enough to get bored with it. PristonTale is a bit more 3d though, look at the screenies. |

I want to play Oblivion. Oblivion is on 360, plays better than on a PC.
And considering there are many other games Id like to play on the 360 like Gears of War. Supreme Commander will be super awsome, Total Annihilation was the first PC game I ever played, and it was fun. I remain loyal to Chris Taylor now =D |

I dont think so scooter. I hate emo people more than anyone else and to call me emo is like...like....BAD. But I really have played it recently, not quite beaten it, but played a good bit of it this past weekend. I stand my ground. The funny thing is, you moved into bash FFX, which I would say is also a pretty good one. I think they couldve been a little more creative with the storyline...wait nevermind...the ultimate evil force's name being "Sin", you cant really get any more creative. I still cant believe you called me emo, thats traumatic for me, it really is. We are getting off topic here. |

Aha! Wrong! I don't even want to begin to explain how wrong you are. The best MMORPG will be the one that every single person on the face of the earth will want to play. It doesn't matter if some people like quests or some like graphics or whatever, an MMORPG that can make them ALL want to play it and get them addicted is the best one. Just try to keep it going, and please take it seriously. 1. Spellweaving 2. Widescale Formation PvP Battles 3. The combat system (Id like someone to please expand on this, I dont know how to explain it) 4. Eyepopping graphics 5. Mounted Combat 6.
