It will be even more possible when the quad SLI drivers come out later, if you look at some of the more seasoned posters on the AoC forums, you will see that they have crazy rigs with like Dual 9800 GX and 8GB of RAM along with some wicked processor that I have never heard of.
Its not unheard of, but rare. I have the same computer as previously mentioned except the second 8800GTX and the 24 inch monitor but I will be doing the EVGA step-up soon so ill get the 9800gx |

The devs are saying that the open beta will be separate, I would keep your eyes on that website for any further information. |

The last statement is true, but the rest of it I have questions. They are not missing upper end raids as far as I know, they have showed video footage of at least two of them and acknowledged that the others are ready. Mounted combat is also set as far as I know. As you have probably seen, there are videos on mounted combat and on city building so I don't know whats missing there. About the whole game being based on Border Kingdom and Battle Keeps, I strongly disagree, as do many people from what I have read on the AoC forums. The PvP aspect of the game is going to play a big role in making AoC a memorable MMO, but I think it is a stretch to say that it will fail if it isn't perfect. I personally would not mind the PvP aspect being absent on the 20th. Mainly because the first 15 or so hours of gameplay are strictly single-player anyways. I bet money that if the closed-beta testers weren't restricted, you would probably have a different opinion, though I don't know for sure. Not only do I think that the Border Kingdom PvP aspect of the game will not be botched, but even if it was, I don't think that it will result in AoC's doom. |

As many of you probably know, Vista sucks, despite the SP that just came out. So, question. I have XP Pro 64bit and Vista HP 32bit. Which would work better with Age of Conan? |

(the door at the bottom of the stairs) Listen to Mars though, he is much more experienced than I. And I'm SPIFFY Mars, how goes Planetside? |

Originally posted by Shannia I see where you are coming from, and like you, I have been waiting for this game for a while now. I think FunCom has gotten everyone riled up now to a point where they can't turn back though. I wouldn't complain anyways, because it takes time to construct a good game, but I have faith in this May 20th release. |

Originally posted by Fistljoe Haven't heard that anywhere. You pre-order the game and you get to log-in 3 days early, I don't think you get to play the beta another 17 days earlier, I could be wrong though.
And yes, pre-order gets you a mount. If from Gamestop you get a mammoth and if from BestBuy you get a rhino. |

No beta access though, I'm pretty sure WAR does that. The only benefit of pre-ordering is that you get to log-in 3 days earlier than everyone else. |

We Are The Valor
This guild began in SWG, where we were a Jedi PvP guild. When the SOE Devs killed that game, the core members of the guild began looking for new games with as killer a world as SWG. We went to DDO, EQ2, Planetside, Anarchy Online, we even tried the LOTR MMO; none of those had the depth and structure of SWG. Now, fans of the comics, we have found a home in Age of Conan. In Hyboria, we will resurrect the guild that once turned Rebel Jedi into quivering sacks.
Our goal in PvP is absolute domination. Great warriors are only part of the equation, and that is why AoC is built for The Valor. Outside of the battlefield, this game requires a guild to have a comprehensive approach to the world, requiring a versatile and capable family of players. We will need a variety of skilled artisans, politicians and combatants, so no matter what your favorite facet of AoC, we have room for you!
What is most important for any guild in AoC is that they function not just as a team or loose coalition of individual players; but as a Fraternal Society. To create the atmosphere for this kind of bond to forge itself, our guild will leave no one in the cold: anyone who feels like they need help mastering any aspect of the game will be given whatever training the guild can provide through our dedicated Teamspeak Server for use by all Valor. I know some are going to be concerned that PvP would be the only sanctioned activity. This is of course not the case. At least once every two weeks, we will organize some form of raid group. All Valor will be encouraged to build their avatar whenever mandatory guild events are not scheduled, and are of course encouraged to level in a guild group. Also, all members of the guild will be encouraged to invest time in a prestige class and master at least the basics of crafting.
What is most important is that this family of warriors be motivated and mature. So long as you meet these two requirements, you are welcome among The Valor.

One thing that I'm sure many of the pre-orderers are looking forward to in Age of Conan is the siege warfare. While it is blatantly obvious that on March 21st, there will probably not be any guilds that have a gigantorous fortress that dominates any smaller guild that happens to settle nearby, I have a question, that has probably been asked before. Point A to Point B. Point A being the beginning of the single-player mode as soon as you finish creating your character to Point B, being in position where you are trying to take over an enemy guild's fortress. I know FunCom has not laid out a step-by-step process on how to get from Point A to Point B, but I'm sure that we can infer at least some of the route, so here is what I know so far. You make a character, go through the single-player mode, find a guild to join, your guild attacks another guild, and Eureka, you're now at Point B? I've wasted much time on the introduction to my question, I apologize. Here it is: When I finish up the single-player part of the game, will it really be that easy to get to Point B? Will it be as simple as finding a guild and launching yourself into the fray? If I still have the basic weapon and armor items, will I be able to actually contribute at all in a battle? As soon as I step in will I be able to kill off some of the enemy NPC mercenaries? To simplify this, I am asking if I will need to invest some of my time into acquiring better armor and better weapons so I can do more good on the battlefield? I know the guild has buildings that require resources to improve the weapons of our NPC fighters, but does it improve ours as well? Don't get me wrong, I am hoping that I will actually have to dedicate much of my time to just being able to enjoy that sensation of being in a large-scale battle. Thanks for reading, and try not to be too harsh, especially since I'm sure some of the questions I have asked are things that will have to discovered on release.

My GS just told me otherwise.
He asked me to come back up to the store to give them my e-mail address and that I would probably just get the code through the e-mail. I'm still going with what you're telling me though. Thanks a ton.
