i like the game, left for SWG..... but do ya think the mobs will walk and not slide across the ground and if you miss with your ranged wep does the projectile come out at a 90 deg. angle to the bbl??

Say it isnt so!!  All named mobs drops are  BoP now???  So other than mining or skinning etc there is nothing to sell unless your a crafter?  I dont get it, why are they removing the fun stuff?  Does anyone else not like this change??  I actually miss this game and though i might go back for a bit but bleh.....

Well i guess it would be nice to go in and mess with them. I dont get why there wouldnt be some sorta flag system atleast though, like WoW or L2, heck even back when swg was good they had that.  But this game looks so amazing i dont care :)

Ack i just saw a post down a ways that seems to sorta answer my question... sorta.  

I've heard that there will be open pvp, and that there wont.  Seems know one really knows, however has anyone heard if you can go to the other side of the game world to where the opposing side is?  Like if i was playing WoW and im human I can run right into Undercity.  Or is it going to be more like DaoC where you cant ever even see the enemy till you go to the sorta contested area.

Any thoughts??

First off, welcome back!!!!! 

I play on Xeth and there is plenty of people, for anything i want to do.  I think you'll find it much improved from your last go at it.

My main is a ranger, love the animations. dice the crap outa those mobs, my disc and monk though have awsome moves too.  My necro is like 10 but ive seen others with a few pets at once, the regular one and a ghoul thing, very cool!  Then again my DK half giant really swings his 2hand sword like he's trying to cut baddies in half.  Counterspelling Is a very cool with my sorc, and i just got flame spear, at max range that will cut em to half in one shot. 

I do still need to try a bard, pally, Bm, psi, rogue (seems like they finally got some loving) warrior

I have 2.66 core 2 duo , intel extreem mobo,  4gig of matched corsair xms (if i recall correctly)  BFG 8800 gts 640mb vid card.  Im now getting 60-70 in the sticks, 35-45 in cities (depending on no. of peeps) and in like dungeons ive seen over 90... odd i know.  My point is it must be taking advantage of 2 cores i would think.  If there using just one i cant imagine what i would get with 2... though i have heard your vid card is the most important.  btw ive had no problems with 4 gigs of ram.

I think this is just another post to keep the negative light on VG.  I see all sorts of players on xeth, there is so much chat on thestra i cant read it fast enough!  Players everywhere crafting, killing stuff and even a diplo once and a while.

Perhaps the people that like the game should start making posts every 5 min saying how much they like it! Then others will see the home page forum activity section and realize its not all doom and gloom. How many people have seen the posts "i logged on to VG thinking it was better than during beta and i took 1 step and fell through the world and died, then uninstalled...nothing is fixed"  Its all to keep the front page covered in negative B.S.

Like it or not this game is growing and improving, and all the haters cant stand it.  I really cant believe how rabid the hate for VG and SOE is.  If ya dont like VG  or wont play a SOE game then please dont and go away!  Perhaps play with your kids, get a job, or a better one, go on a date, i dont know....something..

Ive been around the rajin stronghold area, noobie area...i think i spelled it right, anyhow lots and lots of new players! im amazed!  Actually grouped with some people, was a great time.  Also have a 26 ranger and around fisher pen, theres always players coming and going, crafting and doing quests, quite refreshing!

...totally patches fine for me too.  Im actually recommeneding it to my friends again!  If SOE keeps up the fixes (though for me is awsome right now) This game will make the top 10 this year yet

just started playing again around the city of khal.  Its like the fun of oasis and north ro all over again! I played for 9 hours strait, havent done that in....well eq days!  AND no CTD!

i seldom post but with what i saw and the new patch improvements im hooked! SOE is turning this game around.

My 2 cents... i totally agree with the OP.  I just started again for the 2nd time and already its much better than before!  Add a trial island with 14 days free,  add flying mounts, raid content, some general polishing ( like fish in the water.....) and its a major jump better than anything out there!  of course SOE will have to be dedicated to doing all this...

VG is still with all the bugs the best mmo i ever played....

does this mean that my order for WoW gold is gonna be delayed!?!  

I'm pretty sure i read the other day on the official website the PvP is to take place in a specific area of the gaming world.  I assume that it will be like a battleground sorta area?  I do like the idea of the enemy being able to just atk your city, and visa versa but who know what will come.
