Can anyone suggest me a cool F2P MMORPG or something similar with good graphics? |

In my oppinion there isn't any problem with performance, it's all about lag. I have s mid-range notebook (2.4GHz intel core 2 Duo P8600, nVidia GeForce 9600GT M, 5400RPM HDD) I'm running the game on 1280*800 resolution, with all graphics set to medium and reflections to max. The game runs just fine, in the beginning I started playing on Underworld server and I had huge lag but then I moved my character to a low population server and everything is fine. |

Forget the endgame, what about the long game?
General Discussion « Guild Wars 2 5/19/12 2:40:42 AM
I don't know about you guys, but for me the end game is really interesting. When you get to 80lvl you unlock 3 dungeons filled with awesome looking gear (its not stronger than any other 80lvl gear, but it's all about the style) so it will be fun to get them. At 80lvl you can pay some attention for your guild while you don't need leveling anymore. Also it should be fun to raise an alt, you can get help from your 80lvl character with some gear, crafting, gold. |

I don't think that they will use the last BWE's client for the next one, because things may change. I believe that they will add Sylvary and Asura so even if you have the last client you will need some very heavy patching. Also don't worry about downloading it when beta is announced, ANet's servers are very good so even if millions of players are downloading you can still download at maximum speed. Last time I was downloading at 1.1mb/s (megabyte and not megabit) and i took me less than 4 hours. |

IMHO the game not only doesn't worth the money, but it doesn't worth the time to play it. I played with my friend (he got the game) and I can say that its very childish and old. Maybe D3 could be interesting in 2004 or somewhere around there. As for 2012, I'd prefer much to buy Guild Wars 2 (as I did) or TERA. D3 has really aweful graphics, requires to be online to play solo, aweful physics and animations. For me its not worth to play even if it was a F2P |

IMO the game can be released on 28th June. I've played beta, to me seems very complete, no serious issues / bugs. So the game is actually finished, just ANet need to do some minor fixes. |

I have a 110lvl Force shielder with all the Shineguard set +7 with great bonuses (All purple), a Warrior 90lvl and a Blader 90lvl. So I agree with everything you've said, but you forgot to mention the AWESOME gear look, like from 60lvl and above (Shadowtitanium and above). Here you can see almost all the weapons and armors of CABAL, except the last 2 tiers (Drei Frame & Lycanus): http://www.cabalonline.com/gameinfo/item-weapon.asp Also I'd like to inform that with the last patch "Saint's requiem" they maked the game very easy for new players and they gave some advantages for players below 60lvl or so. Until 60lvl you don't need to buy anything as they have added mobs that are dropping the best gear you can get for low level with 100% drop chance. These sets are available about every 5-10lvl and contain everything is wearable. Also now you can get two astral boards from 48lvl absolutely for free by killing two open world semi-bosses (100% drop chance, easy to kill bosses, bosses respawn 5-10 seconds after kill), unlike before you had to pay 100kk+ to get one. Plus the money given from quests are much higher than they was before the patch so at 60lvl you end up with about 50kk only from quests. In Cabal the classes are very equal in powers so you aren't forced to choose the most powerful, but the one you like. Cabal is my 2nd favofite game after Guild Wars 2, World of Warcraft could be 2nd if it didn't have a subscription fee and better graphics. |

Hello everyone! I'd like to ask if there is already any Greek / Cyprus guild in GW2 or if anyone is interested to create one. If anyone knows an already existing guild please tell me how can I be recruited? Or if anyone is interested in creating a new one post here please. You know, in GW2 we can have multiple guilds at a time so it should be very impressive and helpful to have a guild with people from same country, or speaking the same language. Thanks for your attention and hope I'll find something. |

Good news Melee's, things are going to change according to Anet
General Discussion « Guild Wars 2 5/01/12 7:17:29 AM
IMO its very right that the melee weapons / skills are more powerful than spells. Just think about it, an Elementalist can deal damage from about 25 meters distance, so if he also do very high damage that means that he is immortal because until any melee class get in range with him he will already have less that 25% of HP... So GW2 brings a balance to combat, who hits from distance, hits less. Also I don't know why you are saying that heavy armor don't provide good defence, a warrior or a guardian takes much less damage from enemies than a necromancer, I checked it myself.

GW2 is apparently PayToWin based on this video... :(
General Discussion « Guild Wars 2 5/01/12 3:00:39 AM
Well ok, there are items in the cash shop that helps you to level faster etc, but there is no any item that makes you stronger than other player so is for example a player A got to 20lvl with cash shop's help and a player B got to 20lvl without paying real money, the characters will be same strong. Also don't forget that even if you don't want to spend real money on the game YOU CAN TRADE GOLD FOR GEMS so you can get same boosts, keys, appearance as anyone who pay real money does. |

In GW2 there is no any profession with any advantage so its all about the style. I like most melee combat and strength so I went for a warrior, I like him a lot. Warrior have some great abilities like charge, bash etc, that makes him very easy to move around the battleground. So for me will be a Norn warrior for main character and a Human thief as alternative, he also have a lot of useful skills that makes him special to me.

Now I know why THERES NO RELEASE DATE.........
Beta Weekend Event Reviews & Impressions (Archived) « Guild Wars 2 4/30/12 11:50:38 AM
Originally posted by tazarconan Well, to be honest I didn't play any of these games so I can't compare the games, but I can explain you with details the combat mechanics. So in GW2 the combat is based on action. I'll start with the targeting. So you press TAB to change targets or select them with mouse, left click = select target, right click = select target + auto attack when in range. Once you've selected a target you don't need to move the camera with the mouse all the time, the character is automatically directed to target when you use a skill but the camera is not moving automatically. If you use a skill, but you're not in range with target, the skill is going to be used as noramally and the cooldown will count as usual. You can see if you're in range with target from the key bindings under the skill, they are white if you are in range and red if not. In GW2 we have dodging ability. With this ability you can dodge any skill, from simple player's skills to boss massive destruction skills. But dodging uses energy from the energy bar at the right of your health, every dodge uses about 2/5 of the bar capacity so you can use dodging 2 times in a row. The bar needs about 5 seconds or so to refill. Movement is very important in the cobat. If you move too much you can dodge attacks and be out of range for some enemies without doing much. Professions with melee combat style usualy have skills with fast movement so there isn't any advantage to be a caster because any warrior / guardian / thief (I don't mention mesmer because he combines melee and casting) can get near a caster very fast from long distance. In GW2 there is no any profession with advantage so you choose the profession you like more. I hope that helped you, if you have anymore questions you can ask here. |

Originally posted by Marchosias13 HORRIBLE ANIMATIONS/COMBAT MECHANICS - I don't know why are you telling that, but for those are the best animations and mechanics I've ever seen in MMORPG game. The combat mechanics in this game makes it different from other MMORPGs because here the combat is based on action, players skill and logic so its not like other games that when you're in combat you just stay at same plase and pressing "1,2,3,F1,1,2,3,F1 etc..." and waiting for your gear to win, because actually "the gear its playing and not the player". glitch lagfest, server slideshow - Well, maybe you have problem with your connection? Maybe your PC is the problem? I have less than 300Kb/s connection and a medium-end PC and for me no lag, no any FPS issues and in general nothing from what you said. smacking trees so apples fall out and you having to pick up ten of them so an npc can bake you a pie?!?!?!?!? Same sht, different method - Well maybe this is similar to classic MMO, but there is no other way to do quests. For example the apple pie you said, can you tell me other way to get apples for an apple pie? Anyway ArenaNET didn't say that there will be any big difference between quests from other MMORPG and GW2, but what they said was that the quests are not given like in classic MMOs. For example in classic MMORPG every character gets exactly the same quest at same level, no matter what race / class he is and the quests are like "Help please! These trolls are going to smash my house! Go kill X trolls and I'll find a way to thank you" and then what happens is you find some trolls walking in the area and doing nothing but just walking and you kill X of them, no matter you kill them today or tomorrow or even if you don't touch them the house is going to stay there and the NPC will just be spamming for Help and what about trolls, they will just be there forever and walking around. Now what's the difference in GW2: First to get a quest you will never be sended to an exact location, you just travel around the world and you find quests in your way. Second is that there is the storyline that affects the quests and ArenaNET said that from 1 to 10 level there are 30 different combinations of quests depending on your storyline and race choises. And the third thing is that if the trolls that I mentioned above were in GW2 and you do the same quest, if you don't kill them they'll come and really smash the house. Here is the same information from ArenaNET's official blog: http://www.guildwars2.com/en/the-game/dynamic-events/dynamic-events-overview/ we are PAYING TO TEST this game - This is the most annoying part. YOU DON'T PAY FOR BETA, YOU ARE BUYING THE GAME. You are just buying the game as you could do when it's released, so what's the difference between paying $60 now or paying $60 when the game comes out? So you buy the game before it's release and as a bonus you get access to beta week-ends and some other in-game stuff. |

OK guys thanks! xD so I didn't understood right about the ending of US beta, really sorry for this annoying post. But @Erindal I can't understand what the hell are you doing on a community if you can't be friendly with other people. You just could simply answer like all others did and not saying any s**t about me or anyone else, or you just could stay silence. And what a big shame for you to be member since 2006 and have 29 posts. |

[mod edit] Please think twice before you say something about other person because here you have a very big mistake. I know what is pm and what is am, just I wrote in 24h because its more easy to count. And I counted the time very right: America => start Friday noon and end Sunday noon => 2 days exactly = 24h*2=48h Europe => start Friday 21:00 and end monday 09:00 => 2 full days (Saturday + Sunday) + 3h from Friday + 9h from Monday = 24h*2+3h+9h=60h So we got America 48h and Europe 60h => 60h-48h=12h Also you need to read the rules of this site and learn to respect other people. I still hope that someone is going to answer my question. Does the Europe got 12h more for the beta testing? |
