If you want to use the keyboard, I suggest going into the config and setting your keyboard to Compact. This allows you to move around with WASD; you use the arrow keys (or IKJL as they suggest in the screenshot) to move the camera and/or steer your character as well.

You never even need to touch the mouse with that setup; at least I don't.

Here are some screenshots to illustrate where the setting is:
 

1. First go to the second panel of the main menu by pressing the minus "-" key twice. Move the selection down to Config and hit "enter" (or equivalent) to access the Config menu options.

 

2. Next move the selector down to the 'Misc 2' option and hit enter (or equivalent).

 

3. Finally, move the selector down to the "Keyboard Type" section, then over to the "Compact" option.

You'll notice that it gives you a pop-up showing what keys do what; a handy reference. Hit 'enter' (or equivalent) to enable it. Escape out of the menus... and you're good to go. Along with Alt and Ctrl for using macros, those are the only keys you'll ever really need to play.

 

Hope that helped :). I used this setup once when I didn't have access to my gamepad, intending for it to be temporary. I've never gone back to using a gamepad.

Hooray another AoC Xfireplayer. I hardly se any of the AoC players on Xfire. What server are you planing on (besides Set obviously)?

Don't use the next SE MMO as your basis for how long FFXI will be around. Truth be told I had heard of the next SE MMO before I started playing FFXI back in 2003. It is kinda how Sony is already thinking the PlayStation 4. SE has already made another MMO (at least I think it is made I can't read Japanese) called Fantasy Earth -- www.fantasy-earth.com/. It has always looked good to me ... it seems like it might be a free to play from what the site looks now ... I just wish i could read it.

Very active? Now why you need to go lie to him like that? We both know that is not the truth. There is not one single "very active" server at the moment. Just dead servers and medium load servers, and you know it.
There were very active servers at launch, but then 90% of people left.
