And you want a D3 item system in an MMO? play more mmo and understand the complaints and the complements before you agree or suggest a sandbox only system/mechanic.

Secondly, how would a D3 loot system benefit anyone if the current trend of mmo are all following the "class" specific epic item sets or weapons? Who would actually take items in raids knowing there will be a better version of it next boss around the corner? Think these issues through.

You people take these things too literal.

If a randomized stat system was introduced in a MMO, it would be fantastic...if it was done properly.

There are sorts of sanctions that must be in place, but it can be done and would ultimately make for a much better MMO.

Planetside 2 is certainly the best mmofps I've played. I really like the world size and the overall feeling of a gigantic war - something you can't really feel in a standard FPS. However, the movement and combat is just so clunky.

The game looks nice. The graphics and performance would do well for a EverQuest-type MMO. However, it's not at all ideal for a FPS.

I'm playing on an i7 920 with an ATI HD Core 7850. It's not an extreme system, but a good system none the less. Getting sporadic 20-60 FPS just isn't fun. Dumbing down the graphics doesn't help much. Moreover, playing this game on low detail is not a good idea, as it still runs bad while looking like a 10 year old game.

I know comparing this to Black Ops 2 is just silly, but a constant 200 FPS via BO2 just provides fantastic and fluid combat (I know the human eye can only render so much, but you can most certainly feel extremely high FPS with the mouse). Once technology allows perfectly smooth MMOFPS combat, it will be a ton of fun.

The game is cool, but I would be upset if I had purchased it.

Diablo 2 was extremely boring if you think about it. However, the loot system was so good that that alone kept people playing... including myself.

The Diablo loot system is the best loot system.

My friends all dl'ed from steam. I chose to wait for the real client. After about 20 min, I was able to start the dl via station. I'm already passed them in downloads.

SOE delivers.

Pretty good idea to touch up on the old client, revamp a few things, and generate hype under a "new game" status.

SWTOR: Every Smuggler must be ruggedly handsome, fly an ugly, yet fast ship, and have a wookie companion....     because Han Solo did that.

Even the redundant catch-phrases make me feel stupid, e.g., "I've got a bad feeling about this".

Han Solo was frozen in carbonite. Since that happened, let's plant a ton of random NPCs that are encased in carbonite...       how iconic!

I used to be a huge Star Wars fan. I know SWG had its problems, but at least I could somewhat be myself. In SWTOR, I'm nothing but a page turner. boring.

These are the worst questions ever.

How about this:

#1. How large is the word? How long would it take to walk across? Are we limited to the main path with about 200 yards of "exploration" space?

#2. Social tools? Do we have incentives to hang out in the INNs and taverns? Can we plant houses? Can the players dictate the economy via crafting / player shops?

#3. What kind of PvP will there be? Open World? Or will it be a tiny segment of the world, but because it's in the world you will call it, "Open World".

#4. Itemization? Will we be seeing 10,000 "General Deathmarch's Hammer of Wind" on the AH? Or will we actually have some loot with randomizaed stats...

I really hope nobody believes in that mayan crap. If they had the power to predict the future, then why is their entire culture in ruins? Moreover, there isn't one single fact in regards to the end of the world: http://www.nasa.gov/topics/earth/features/2012.html

There is nothing more energetic and adrenaline-pumping than to watch the "best" WoW PvP'ers hit "TAB" on their keyboard.

e-sports via MMO is an absolute joke and an embarrassment to the entire genre. Moreover, it has set the worst trend in the MMO: arenas, battlegrounds, warzones, or whatever else you want to call them...

MMOs need to go back to virtual worlds...not virtual redundancy.

I have a lot of experience with Windows 8. I installed the beta and used it as my one and only operating system for the last 1-2 months. It took a while to get used to the interface, but I still found it lacking and not worth it in the long run.

Imagine this: You are completely familiar with your local grocery store. You know right where everything is. Your wife asks you to get eggs. When you arrive at the store, you find that it has been completely remodeled. Eggs used to be in the very back of the store. But now they are in the basement! In order to go to the basement, you need to go to the elevator. In order to access the elevator, you need to push the button. In order to go down the elevator, you need to push another button. In order to to retrieve your eggs, you need to walk more to get them. Once you have the eggs, you need to go back to the elevator, push the buttons, walk to the front of the store, and buy them. **** WINDOWS 8!

Windows 8 is nothing but annoying. It was cool during the first 1-3 days because of the unique aesthetic look. However, it quickly became very irritating with all the extra steps and constant searching for things that used to be so easy to access via Windows 95, 98, 98se, XP, and 7.

Games do not run better via Windows 8.

George used to be a rugged and handsome man. His nickname was Windows 7. However, he started waxing his eyebrows, tanning in booths, and left Powerhouse Gym for Curves Gym. His new nickname is Windows 8.

If you're looking for speed and efficiency, Windows 8 is not your friend. If your the type that sits around in coffee shops with a blu-tooth, ipad shirt, and a 100+ friend facebook account, then Windows 8 is for you.

I've also had 3 games that won't install via Windows 8. I know it's new and is in beta, but seriously...   don't do it!

I think I will take down my hype for this game from 9 to 6. This is hugely dissapointing.

The OP just didn't talk about the sandbox elements. Go and search for ArcheAge world videos. They are gigantic. Players can plant crops, trees, houses in the world, and hire guards to defend them.

I don't think there ever has been a NDA for ArcheAge. There are countless videos on YouTube and all of them have fantastic feedback - even the videos that don't have any action. No NDA tells me that the developers know they have something good and unique to offer.

It's sort of funny. It makes you wonder why games like SWTOR are so tight on the NDA - even when it's right next to release time.

When ArcheAge comes to the states, it will redefine much of the MMORPG genre. Moreover, it will push EQNext further into trying to become the largest and deepest virtual world.

I felt like I was on rails from the veyr beginning. I didn't make it out of beta.

I want to play a MMORPG - not a SPORPG
