There's much in store for the future of Allods Online.  The developers also create content very fast so we hope to continue a fast release for patches to our NA version.

Anzie, you made a comment about lots of running around Nezebgrad city for the Empire. I'll share someone one of our players said that made sense. With the auto move feature being implemented in Patch 3.0.2 coming May 30th, it allows players to move to locations where quests need to be completed with the click of a button. You mentioned it would be nice if there was a free way to obtain mounts but with auto move, it's kind of like a free mount in the sense that mounts improve the ease of traveling and the new auto move feature does just that.

B1mble, I'm really looking forward to the server merge and it'll be awesome to let players interact with others. In the past, you would have some people roll new characters on the other server just so they can interact with players they met on the forums. Merging our servers will bring the community closer together which is a good thing. The reason we gave out free mounts recently as an event was because it was a special event! Last month marked the two year anniversary for Allods Online so we gave players new mounts, and some Item Shop currency to spend. We also have done promotions like that in the past too  =)

I personally would like to see more content that encourages Astral PvP but such a request is being fulfilled with the upcoming patch. We're getting a full-on Astral PvP event and changes to the Astral that encourages players to manually fly around the Astral more without easily teleporting to Far Astral allods. This just increases players to cruise the Astral and it'll create more opportunities for enemy ships to encounter each other in the  Astral. It'll also be nice to have the Astral be introduced to lower level players somehow since the Astral is one of the highlights to Allods Online.

 

Crunchy221, something that turned you off was the constant travelling back and forth to complete quests for the Empire faction in the starting area. Something that will help with this is a new feature being implemented in Patch 3.0.2 coming on May 30th. The feature is Automove. How it works is you have your quests and all you do is open an interface that allows you to click on your quest which will automatically move your character to the location where the quest needs to be fulfilled. Please do not view this as a feature for lazy travel but rather a method to help one multitask by focusing on other tasks. It also addresses the concern you had so hopefully you check out Allods again and see how questing feels with the Automove feature. =)

Thanks for sharing about the new skirmish, Deserted Farm, coming with the Patch 3.0.2 update on May 30th. This feature is appealing to everyone, veterans and new players alike. Players will be interested in playing knowing there are lots of PvP options. Similar to the EU version, we have also shared previews of what's to come with the upcoming patch that are especially appealing to new players.

I'm glad you're pleased with the Astral experience. It's nice how one can now complete a quest that reduces the time it takes to build a ship, so that it just takes a matter of days.  It helps players reach the Astral experience quicker and help them experience one of the unique aspects of the game.

With that said, it would be nice to introduce the Astral to players even sooner than the level 30s range even though it's end-game content. We've made suggestions to the developers to allow players to get a taste of what the Astral is all about even if it's some form of tutorial.

As with every patch, the Astral is always changing to make the experience engaging by adding new content and re-working current mechanics. Something we will see in a future patch is increased Astral PvP. There will be incentives to get people in the Astral and fight against each other which I'm excited for.

I'm not sure of the exact details of the situation you mentioned as I represent the NA region of Allods Online. If you have any issues with anything that happened on the forums, I would suggest contacting their team through a support ticket.

Hobiton, it sounds like you are referring to Incense where it used to be essential to strengthen your character enough to kill monsters.

Multiple changes have taken place to ease up on that system such as including a daily quest that offers one free incense (which still exists) although the mechanics have been changed so that you don't need incense to strengthen your character to kill monsters. You also gain the ability to use the Martyrs' Salvation spell and bonuses from your runes without incense.  The benefits that incense gives is the ability to use the other three patron spells and the defenses against some  PvP spells.

Thanks for sharing your experiences with the game, Emilmoller. The experience of leveling has improved with the introduction of Lucky Moments which grant additional experienced earned for those who are online when the event occurs.

I'm glad to hear you also enjoy the Currency Exchange feature and we are fortunate to have this feature which you won't find in other F2P MMORPGs. The flexibility and capability of buying Item Shop items with in-game gold is nice. =)

Sorrow, we gained permission to post on this forum. We aren't here to advertise game updates of future patch content but rather answer any questions you guys may have about the game.

In regards to your P2W questions, players can upgrade runes which allow players to enhance their damage dealt, healing done, and decrease damage taken. Having high level runes certainly won't make you dominate other players without having an understanding of how your class plays as well as balanced stats and adequate gear for your level. One thing I like about the rune system is you have your six rune slots - three for offense and three for defense - and the six runes you have can be progressively improved over time which is an improvement from the past where runes affected particular gear you found. The options of improving one's runes also has greatly improved with the addition of the Currency Exchange system allowing greater access to Gem Shards (alternate Item Shop currency) by using in-game gold which is a new feature in Patch 3.0 coming out today.

Basically the game is great compared to wow but lacks low lvl dungeon experience and the need to get keyed and find the obscure quests causes people to lvl right past dungeons and finding a group is like impossible. It seems like the dungeons were meant to be run after the quests in the area and that makes little sense. The game is really unbalanced in how lvl's scale so drastically in power and the people that can afford great crystals can wipe the floor with new players in 1 or 2 hits. That is not what creates enjoyable pvp or a good healer experience.

I left the game more than a couple months ago because of the rune setup and how you need to find the time to grind for cash to get good ones to be able to do good healing or get good heals , quest and basically everything. The game was not fun for me after like lvl 27 or so; which is a shame because aside from the cash shop rune system and dungeon xp and imbalance in pvp the game is really quite good.

And there needs to be an xp bonus for grouping because it is hard to find a group cause the xp is less. Makes little sense to have that in an mmo.

I would recommend checking out Skirmishes with the new Patch 3.0 coming this week since you made a comment about PvP issues. Skirmishes will feature bracket-style matches which will make it so you will only fight against others who are close to your levels. Below are the exact bracket level ranges:

23 - 25
26 - 29
30 - 32
33 - 35
36 - 38
39 - 41
42 - 44
45 - 46
47 - 50
51

This should provide for better PvP experiences.

In terms of party grouping, it would be nice if more players would fight together in parties. On the flip side, it's nice how the game is solo-friendly because I'm sure a lot of us have been there where the gameplay is scaled so that it is difficult to complete regular PvE content without being in a party which can cause lengthy periods of time before being able to complete any quests. The good thing about Allods Online is that it is very possible for one to solo the entire PvE content.

Huskerman34, we've expanded on the type of ads for the game. Right now we're focusing on the orc with lightning surging through his fists which looks really good and much different than the past sexy elves haha.

I also think the crafting system can be more extensive. Cooking sounds like a fun concept to help create consumeable items. Right now the vendors in the game sell consumeables that refill health and mana although I don't think many people purchase them. I can see a cooking profession profession add more variety. Current professions can also be changed which seems to be happening with changes made with new patches.

In terms of class balance, classes are constantly being altered with new patches to  help provide balance to the overall gameplay. I'd always recommend to everyone to stick with a class that you love so with whatever changes to its skills or abilities, you'll still be able to enjoy the base of the character's abilities.

Durray, I'm surprised that you mentioned the graphics are outdated. Something that really shines is the graphics and visual details throughout the entire game whether it's physical environment, character animations, or item effects. Some zones look cooler than others but there is a lot of detail put into making the game look stunning.

Newbihack, which Item Shop items are you referring to? Are you referring to runes? Runes provide added effects of increased damage dealt and reduced damage taken although they don't replace pure PvP skills. I remember PvPing in one of the end-game zones called Melting Isle. I was faced against another player who had lower level runes than me, and he beat me. =)

There have been a significant amount of changes including the removal of the fatigue system which happened late last year. It definitely makes the leveling experience more fluid since you don't have to visit the Goblin Innkeeper to redeem your fatigue experience. I've come across some players in the past who wasn't sure how the fatigue system worked, so it was a nice change to make the game more player-friendly. Yes, the change of the experience scrolls from Scrolls of Knowledge to Tomes of Knowledge was also a nice change. We didn't want players to feel rushed to kill as many monsters as they can within a 30-minute time frame so allowing this scroll to stay active until worn off from killing X amount of monsters let's players play at a more comfortable rate.

If you would like to see a bad example of a game rep on these boards, head over to the Mortal Online section and see how GM Theia announced vet rewards coming in a week and then two months later when it was brought back up, posts get deleted and the rep ignores questions about it.  I have not seen a good example to point you to.  Maybe you can fix that for me?

The purpose of me reaching out to you guys isn't to wave a giant flag that says "Play Allods Online and nothing else!"

If you browse this forum section you'll see some players referencing features about the game that existed in the past that don't exist anymore so I just want to make sure information that circulates around this community is the correct information about the current state of the game. I simply want to comment on your experiences or what you have heard, and if Allods Online seems like the game you would be interested in, then that's a double combo win!

The ability to create another incarnation is an option players will be able to utilize if they have already completed the quest to create the first incarntion. There's nothing wrong with more options right? =) Plus this works in players' favor because anyone who completed the inarnatioin quest and already leveled an incarnation to a high level would like to have an option to create another incarnation as a Bard with the upcoming patch on February 15th.

I can't provide much details about the future layers of the Astral until official patch notes are released although there won't be any feature that locks one's leveling progression..

JoeyMMO, since it sounds like you actively play right now, you most likely have checked out the minisite for Patch 3.0 which covers the main features. Any further details will be released in patch notes close to Patch 3.0's release date. The next two weeks will fly by very fast!

 

It's unfortunate to hear you've been actively playing the game until recently when we have Patch 3.0, Overature of the Damned coming in just two weeks (February 15th). I know the quest you are referring to which is to unlock the third layer of the Astral. I've seen feedback from the community that about the quest taking a lot of time to complete although it was implemented to help ensure players reach the max level at a steady rate. From your response I can tell you've kept up to date with the contents of the upcoming patch which removes the quest that we've been talking about which the community will appreciate. The change of the quest is also able to occur since the max level cap will be raised to 51 to ensure players' leveling flow to the new max level (47 to 51) will not be hindered.

I have great expectations that the upcoming patch will get lots of attention from new and veteran players. Anyone who has played the game in the past would want to check out the many new features such as the PvP Skirmishes which will add extra entertainment to mix in with one's PvE adventures. Also the new buzz about the new archetype, Bard, is always something that a lot of people will want to try out so it'll make gameplay much more interesting when interacting with the new archetype in PvP and PvE settings.

Hey, MyPreciousss. Your suggestion of having a subscription option is a suggestion that comes up every now and then on our official Allods Online forum. One reason why that option would not be possible is because Allods Online is published by gPotato and all gPotato games follow the Free to Play model.

Speaking as a gamer myself, all of the MMORPGs that I have played for an extensive amount of time have all been Free to Play games. I personally like the option of contributing to the Item Shop whenever I want versus the monthly subscription fee just to play the game. I do acknowledge your preference for more options and more options are great! However, I hope my response was able to shed light on why Allods Online doesn't have a monthly subscription option.

It's also great to see you're actively playing the game and you came across my post here. How far along are you in the game now?

Sibs4455, I won't deny that there have been some unfavorable features in the past although we were able to take feedback from the community, and make changes to the game that addressed those concerns.
