Okay, so let's assume EQ Next blows the gaming world away...
General Discussion « EverQuest Next 6/18/13 4:50:26 PM
I don't think EQ next will be WOW killer, since it has only one play-style to sell, WOW has many play-styles, that's what sells.

Originally posted by vesuvias This is the nice question. What will help to encurage people to group? is a good reward system, not dice-roll or high xp but individual proper reward. All that crap about harder content is just crap. Tera, how many players can group-up to take down BAMs? some will form a full group and strugle, while some other's, can take a risk and solo them. Dose that make BAMs easy content? The problems with BAMs, they have crap for reward, and even more crapy reward when grouping, for BAMs or anything else. |
|
|
I am a person who want to be able to solo at least 75% of a game, even if it is a bit harder, but not if it is meant for three people on hard a mode, and if reward is crap? then I am gone never to look back. I agree, dungeons should be a group play, but,! also as a scaled system, because you can't find a group all the time for a dungeon, or have to wait a realy long time for cross server players. If games become group oriented? I am not the one, I'll go back to single and multiplayer games. Games did not become easy, you simply level-up to fast because of realy high xp reward, this happened because people cried that games where too grindish, and not enough content, because developers are too lazy to implement crafting, housing, farms..., they just give you gear which you get from killing animals, I just can't picture a steel armor in the belly of an animal. |

TESO more a MP online game than a MMO
General Discussion « Elder Scrolls Online 6/10/13 10:46:46 AM
It is all about less then 10% of people who want FFA pvp, keep on crying and crying. ESO stated from the start, that ESO is going to have three different game styles to choose from. PVP: RP: And SOLO. There is no need to panic.
|
|
|
Those are the choice/s you are going to make. Are you hard-core/PvP? then be the one. Are you RP type? ....... Are you more of a solo? no problem. ESO hase all the choices, simply choose your path at character creation, no one will stand in your way, or take away your game-play style. It's all in one, MP, RP and MMO. |

To compete with latest game graphics you need a lot more then $600 a year, plus, instead of $15 for internet you need at least $50 per month, electric bill higher, which is, because of watt consumption.
Yes, yes, I do a lot more on the internet too, but gaming consumes a lot more then regular internet. |
|
|
Keep in mind, you're not only paying monthly game subs, but also, internet connection, have to up-date your comp to meet at least minimum requirement, and a box price. That is over $100.00 a month even with $10.00 monthly sub, just to play an online game. |

For the most questions, your friends are correct, real life is better then virtual world, most of the time people who play any game are lonely and depressed, so, playing games just killing their time and let you forget about real problems, that of coarse does not fix those problems people have. Plus games give you some form of accomplishment which you can't accomplish in the real world. People make new friends? please, you don't even know who is on the other side of the line, if you can't find friends in the real world around you? what make's you think you can on line? In virtual world people often hide their true form or express their true nature of madness. |

Originally posted by xpiher Are you sure that it's free to play? " cash shop ". All games are set to get gear from farming mobs, that is the problem, because, 1) content consumed very fast. 2) fast leveling. 3) developers are lazy, they don't want to spent time to develop crafting system. 4) housing, most games don't have any, some that have housing, are limited on what you can do with them, you should have to build your house bit by bit, not a whole box in five seconds, to build a box of the house should take several weeks of your real time and consumed a lot of resources which you must feed a whole time, and probably have to hire a few helpers. That being said, over all, content consumed too fast and players have nothing to do while developers working on new content. That is the biggest problem with today MMO PVE oriented games. |
|
|
So desperate? already? I feel sorry for developers, this project will loose a lot of money, that what happen to PvP oriented games and nail in the head is fool loot, plus, 12 year old graphics and animations. This game is not that interesting to spend money for it. |

Good luck to " perma death " games, they are going to need that, so far such games are haven for cheeters, and end-up dead after short time, even full loot games don't last long.

Originally posted by Dauzqul I think when you choose pve questions, you don't have to deal with open world pvp. It's not going to be pvp only no matter what you choose, every one will have their chance to choose pvp or pve. |

Is All PVP Still Restricted To Cyrodiil? If It Is Im Not Buying This Game
General Discussion « Elder Scrolls Online 5/19/13 6:48:01 AM
With mega server ESO can make open world pvp, whoever wish open world pvp can check box which says open world pvp, and you wont see any pve player in your world, so you can pvp all you want.

The 'Group Play vs Solo Play in an MMO' Thread

This is the main reason I don't play Rift, that, and invisible walls.

For some reason, I want to log-in to Neverwinter, but not to GW2, GW2 feels lonely compare to Neverwinter, even, if it is in an open beta. For the moment Neverwinter is the only game I really want/love to play. |
