Final Fantasy XIV: Buy FFXIII, Get into FFXIV Beta?

It could still be techinically true and not be an actual truth.
They could give everyone that buys XIII access to beta in stages. With everyone getting access to it just before open beta(If there is one) and would still be truthful in their advertising.

It's really just a stress test. I'm not a fanboi or anything but hell! Because a company doesn't let you have free peak at all of their game doesn't mean that it's not ready. GIve them a chance to succeed or fail. I don't think that we will see another Vanguard release. Or an AO release. But we all know that ALL releases have their bumps. There has never been a perfect one. The closest I can think of was with LOTRO. And they still hit roadbumps. |

I've been following this since I heard about it just because I like the premise behind the game. Now after hearing more about the story line I'm really really excited about getting to play!
If they put in everything that the writer is talking about then even if it is a translation from an asian game it may be a big hit in my eyes just for the story part! I always love a good quest !!! |

I don't post here but I'm here every day... so /lurk off with my reply about DDO I've been looking forward to this since it was announced and had such high hopes of a wonderful game. All I can say is that it's let me down. It looks good. Can't complain about that. But when it comes to game play? All it boils down to is a set of instances with a common area to talk to other people. Phh and most of the time there really isn't any reason to talk to anyone either. You can solo through almost all of the content with a little time and if there is a group only mission just get a couple of people doing the same one, complete the mission and break the group to go back to solo'n. I'm most assuredly not going to be buying this one. *sighs* I really wish they had lived up to expectations. |
