Why guys playing girls spook me off
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 3/27/12 10:25:47 AM
Think you're looking into it too much honestly, I mean should you not the be poster child of "Do what makes you feel good, happy, complete?" I find it weird a gay guy has issue with something so minor. I can't play a Male Cleric or Mage... Can't play a female Tank or Warrior... Just how I function. Others regardless to even if their purpose for the selection is the darkest and most evilily concievable notion... it's their preference and not anyones place to tell other wise. |

Break rules, gets banned... strange concept. |

any time something is popular, rebels must come out and oppose it by any means necessary. If it was a cash shop it'd be lack of raids, if no cash shop and no raid problems it'd be lack of kill 946 boars for teeth quests. There will always be something the rebels complain about.
I on the other hand enjoy any game, especially gw2 when it provides me with what I'm looking for. There is no such thing as a universal perfection, so someone being angry means nothing to me. |

Mmorpgs were never about story telling, mmorpgs never had a story and if they did...
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 3/19/12 3:58:51 AM
no... things don't need to be a black or white situation. Things never have to be black or white in any aspect of life. People merely choose the black or white path because it's easier to not worry about more than one side. |

People cant create their own stories anymore like they did in early mmo's. also the RPG part of MMORPG entails story. So you're wrong. |

Like TERA but you are to cheap for sub/box price ?
General Discussion « RaiderZ 3/18/12 4:03:22 PM
No... this game isn't for those too cheap to pay for subs or boxes... Although if you wish not to pay for such things and still want action oriented combat in an open world then you can. RaiderZ is a completely separate game than The Exiled Realms of Aborrea and should be treated and respected as such. Liking one will not mean you'll like the other.
IN MY OPINION PROS/CONS Pros Graphics are good for a f2p Combat is fluid World Bosses are fun group content You obtain gear by killing things and looting their corpes for materials, making mob grind actually desireable
Cons Clerics are basically useless due to how small their heals are, game pushes for the block dodge mechanics so they put little into the aspect of actual healing Tank is currently worthless too due to the small hit box, although it has much more promise currently than the cleric; due to level cap you wont develop into a super tank so you might as well play a 2 hander or sorc. You can aim right att a target and if they dont highlight with ranged spells you wont hit them even if the animation hits them, this isnt the case for melee attacks, just ranged No ranger/rogue You hit a bump in the road where the game is all group content or would be better suited as such, this is good or bad depending on the player. The story scenes are of SNES quality |

World of Warcraft: Legal Battle Over Baby Murloc's Voice
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 3/14/12 3:56:51 AM
I wont read the official article because I do not want to hate another person for their greed and stupidity. If there were any additional dollars to be paid to voice acting when you're already an employee I hope she gets compensation... yet most likely shes just one of these I spilled hot coffee on my crotch... pay me for it type of people. |

they avoided 10 million "Whens Release?" "Can I play now" "How do I Play" "Give me beta access!" and ect threads... bravo to them, more time to develop, less time spent moderating. |

IB4 a player focuses his entire playstyle around healing and those recieving said heals love it.

I'm a huge fan and will definately play this game but... it can't save a genre it's not part of. It's a level oriented theme park with sandbox features... it will create the market for a sandpark though.

Compared to what games... seems on par with other AAA mmo's.

Overhyped? Since when?
goes to show.. people are upset and emotional far to easy. |

So all those old games are so great...
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 3/02/12 6:06:55 PM
I loved Crystalis on NES ... Breath if Fire on SNES... they are amungst my alltime favorite games. Doesn't mean I'd pay 50-60 bucks for a copy of them today. Ultima Online is one of the deepest games in the MMO genre but its dated now visually and some mechanics that would put most people off. We live as a race of people who are saturated in technological evolution... when you have so much new thrown in your face it's hard to be interested in things that are dated.

Fully Voiced Storylines is NOT Innovative....
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 2/01/12 2:43:40 PM
Originally posted by Yamota yeah but people refuse to back anything but Theme Parks... I understand what people are saying but I made peace with the fact that I'd be playing Theme Parks for many years when WoW hit 12 million subs. I had some fun adventures in AoC, Warhammer, Aion, Rift, SWTOR and a dozen others but... everytime I spent my money on something outside the theme park genre I found myself greatly disappointed... Darkfall (Hackers/Exploiters/No skillcap/ Macroers) Mortal Online (rofl... alpha?) Xyson (no...) I mean... these companies literally designed their games like they don't have any experience in the genre and have no idea what people want. 2012/2013 looks promising soo maybe the action based theme parks or hybrid sandboxes will add life to a stale genre. |
