Not to under value anyones opions,  but if you are looking at this forum to determine whether or not to play this game please keep in mind one thing.  The average happy/content player does not come to or post on forums.  The percentage of unhappy customers which post is much higher than the happy ones that post

My opinions:

AoC has issues but I enjoy playing it much more than WOW, DAoC,LOTRO, EQ2, Vangard.

LOTRO seems to be a good game but I stopped playing because not many people I knew were playing and lack of end game content

wow is good.  Been  playing for several years but I am just looking for something new

512.225.6359. Only way I was able to solve my problem was by going to best buy and buying the preorder for $10

I attempted to pre-order TR.  So far I have been unable to do so since their website will not validate my visa or MC.  Ok so I called their billing support.  According to them I am coming up anonymous.  Ok so fine I request they take my information over the phone which of course they are unwilling to do.  I have purchased many items via the internet including preordering games.  This is the first time I have attempted to use my CC with plaync.com.

The only issues on my end that I could forsee having any impact is I am behind a linksys router running windows vista using mcafee AV.  Normally I would have  posted this on their forums but since they don't seem to have the resources for that I come here.

I would drop wow and lotro in a heart beat if I could have AO with up to date graphics

LOTRO is not in need of saving.  Turbine tends to cater to the majority of the playerbase.  The majority of that base is not at the level cap.  As more player get there you will see more attention given to it
To me the OP seems to have come to LOTRO looking to satisfy tastes that tend to be in favor of PVP.  If that is what you are looking for I think LOTRO is the wrong place for you.  The pvp in LOTRO seems to be more of a way to satisfy the pvp desires in a primarily pve player
