My friend actually got into the beta in Korea. I wouldn't underestimate this game. This game is not small either. Atleast in the beta in Korea there was alot of people playing. And it's kinda like guildwars but nothing like lineage 2. I'd say it's more of a FPS mixed with GW mixed with CoV

Ok, here's the deal.

For your beginning stats, it all depends on what you want to be. If you want to be a warrior, Str- X Dex- X Luk- 4 or 5 and INT - 4 or 5. X can be any number, just make sure your luk and int are either 4 or 5.

For a bowman get the same thing as a warrior.

For theifs get Str- 4 or 5    Dex- X    Luk - X     INT- 4 or 5.

For a magician get Str- 4 or 5     Dex - 4 or 5    Luk - X    INT- X

Now here's the builds. For Warriors every level you'll want to keep your Dex 2x your level. For example level 10- 20 dex. level 20 - 40 dex, level 30 - 60 dex and so on. Just add the rest of your stats to STR.

For Bowman You'll want to keep your STR 5 points above your level. Ex. Level 10 - 15 str. Level 20 - 25 str ect.   Add the rest of your stats to Dex/

For Theifs you want 2x your level of dex just like warriors except this time add the rest to luk. (That build may only be for Sin's, but thats the only build I know lol)

And Last for magicians, Have 3 above your level of luk (ex. level 10- 13 luk, level 20 - 23 luk) and then put the rest onto intelligence.

Oh, and as to what to chose. If you like dealing alot of damage but don't like ranged attack, choose a warrior. If you like ranged attacks and don't like close attacks, chose a bowman. If you can't decide between those two, choose a theif. If you like having lots of MP and dealing lots of damage, chose a Mage (Fire/Poison or Ice/Lit) And if you like never dying, chose a cleric (mage 2nd job)

Alright, well thats for stats. Just please don't get me started on skills.

I am tired of people making these threads about "How can you still play MS?" and "What about MS is so good?"

I think that most people forget that Maplestory is not a P2P game. It is F2P. That means that it WILL have some flaws and it WILL have some things you don't like and there WILL be some childish people. Go to any other free game and those three are still constants. But for the most part, Maplestory is one of the BEST F2P games out there. There are so many oppurtunitys and different possibilitys. And for you people who say that everyone in this game is a 7 year old, well then maybe you should get past level 20 when there basically are no more 7 year olds.

I don't care if you guys flame me. But just remember, that if you don't like this game, then why post here? There's no point, we don't want to hear your whining complaints and childish requests. Just get out. But if you do love MS like me, then please post that you agree with me and want the n00bish threads to stop.

Mage 1st job:

level 8: 1 energy bolt

level 9-14: 3 MP recovery

level 15: 1 MP recovery, 2 magic claw

level 16-22: 3 magic claw

level 23-30: all on magic guard.

I'm pretty sure that's how it should go. If I'm off by alittle, then just max MP recovery first, then magic claw, then magic guard.

There is no PvP'ing. Not quite sure what he was talking about...

Anywhoo, yeah I got NX stuff on my 2 mains. Sure they look cool, and sometimes people will randomly fame me which I guess saves me 5k for buying fame. So far I have only spent 20$ though. Plus, if it keeps MS alive, then I'm happy with it.

YAY, the first thread so far without the OMGzoorz, maple sux cus its 2D and i didn't get past lvel 9!11!

And yes, I still play, and yes, I also am addicted. I've also bought about 20$ worth of NX cash lol. I don't understand why people on these forums hate maplestory so much...I mean its a free game so of course it's not going to be perfect, but this is THE BEST free game I have ever played in my life. So, yay for maple! ^_^

Yeah, Satio is right, Mages are very over rated. The only reason that there are so many mages is because around level 20 they master magic claw. And when noobs see the damage they do with that, they think they could do that too. So yeah, but mages, clerics mostly, are way to hard to level

First of all, I can understand why you made no friends in the game, cause you can't even speak proper english. Second, graphics don't suck at all. It's 2D and the sprites are actually very well made. The backround music doesn't suck either, sometimes the elliania music gets stuck in my head though . Grinding really isn't that bad until level 50+ in my opinion. But by then, depending on your class, you should own and have lots of friends to help you out and party with, which keeps it interesting for me. I will admit though, the hackers do suck. There have been an increasing amount lately.

To rocking_ufo, how the hell can you even say that? Just mentioning that name... *shivers*

and to dafuzzle, thank you for finally understanding that the MMO community is full of noobs that just like the flame other games, cheers
