55 here and im mainly playing games like Asheron's call-darktide/Darkfall/DayZ.

Im also not fast enough or handy with my keyboard as most youngones are.

I compensate for patience sneaking im very carefull always pay attention to my suroundings and know when to run so i survive in these harsh games very well as oldie.

If im in group im not leading i leave that to younger players i follow.

But manage overtime very well.

Im also not concerned about dying losing stuff or wanne brag about how many i killed.

Numbers don't interest me i just wanne have fun i rarely chat ingame never say anything dying or winning.

I very doub that even these nex gen consoles can handle massive mmo worlds with thousends of players.

PC is still superior to consoles if it comes to power and flexabillity.

On smaller scale maybe but if game handles thousends of players no.

One huge map noway.

Future will tell offcorse.

@OP and all who(i realy don't understand why?)hate underwater world in GW2 who have one of best underwater worlds ever in any game to date, not only is rich on design its realy complete world underwater with quest, secrets or boss fights.

Its beyond me why so many hate it this, if GW2 would not have underwater world it would not been half the game as good as it is now.

Dunno if you always play like this but i have feeling you die a lot in DayZ?

Asheron's call 2 biggest failor (awesome game but...)to early released and screwed by Microsoft(players also screwed this game).

Guild Wars 2 dynamic events and loot system on world bosses(champions sucked bigtime)Cashshop what a failor for me still played it for 5months(include beta weekends) but game went instance-cashshop-treadmill grind, WvWvW was nice but also ruined by devs.

Most of time players screw mmo's cheating or act like asholes(sandbox experience for me)devs dont deliver.

Im a TES fan not TESO fan so i'll wait untill its completely free two play.

I want PVE/PVP mmo only if its an OPEN FREE FOR ALL pvp world other wise im not interested.

40 man raid lol no thx thats one things that absolutely don't belong in TES games.

Game will be totally ruined if instance grinding get hold of such game.

TES games should always be open free roaming worlds and open dungeons.

Game should be about exploring and discover monsters that need more players but not in instance also don't belong in TES games sandbox open world with total freedom.

But not gonne happen they made a themepark for causals with ezmode.

TESO is not a real TES game just a money grab thats all.

With alot of enthausiasme i build a rig in 2009 with newly released win7 and dx11 desktops with my AMD 5870 gpu.

A fine desktop i build myself and OC and still after 4 years doing fine.

Im bit of freake and buoght in may 2012 a ivy bridge highend rig also build myself and so i got ssd(9 sec to desktop) and USB3 for first time upgrade worth upgrading with my overclock of cpu/gpu im very pleased with this rig that handle crysis3 superbly on highest settings.

But with still for most part whole game business in DX9 games and not seeing this changed before end of 2014 and staying on win7 im not gonne replace anytime soon to haswell becouse you need again new MB with socket 1150 and seems with OC same as ivy not much change so with prices these days higher then in past im happy with my rig now.

Seems in future desktops gone and nomore windows maybe tablet on android in ultra HD who knows:)

Happy with my ivy bridge high end now, seems haswell get new socket and sinds most games STILL DX9 and prolly not before 2015 dx 11 im not gonne change again.

2 desktops

1 with amd 5870 highend 2009 OC cost at the time 2500 euro self build.
2 with amd 7970 highend 2012 OC 2100 euro self build.

Win7 64 ultimate forever!...:P

Both handle all games on highest settings(crysis 3)(cpu and gpu OC) very well , so not gonne buy a third highend rig while sinds 2003 i think we have 95% of games at dx9.

Only game for me that looks finally realy beautiful is crysis 3.

13 BUCKS FOR OLD MMO AC2 but im thinking of quiting for planet explores awesome new kickstarter game.

I more and more going solo im bit fed up with attitude most have these days ingame no social manners no patience anymore and leave when ever they like not concider others at all.

Solo dont have to deal with anti socials anymore.

Where will be the freedom of The Elder Scroll games which are so famous for i wonder?

This game is clearly not made by core team of bethesda.

Another themepark copying what other themepark already have no big deal.

TESO is made only to be a money cow so they hope and earned money hopefully for them, when it all fails also end of bethesda unless the most talented keep making solo elder scrolls which i doub very much at this point, future will tell offocrse.

This game as so many big games will be same story all over again, you all follow hype then you find out its all of same or not made to your personal taste and come to forums whine about it, and waiting for next big thing comming around and it all rinse and repeat so predictable lol.

Im only interested in the elder scrolls solo games.

All tho its nice following this game see how this more and more over hyped themepark making same mistake again?... :)

I could offcorse be mistaken and it will be the best ever mmo in history of mmorpgs, if it was realy made by bethesda themselfs but that's very doubful.

We see soon enough its good or bad mmo.

They working on friendlist and squelch plus fixing bugs and displacements of buildings objects.

Dont forget this dev team have never worked on ac2 so they learning to program this game again.

So far they doing a great job and they realy wanne ac2 succeed luckly for me they try keep it old school and won't implement much new generation featers most know from wow and other themeparks.

AC2 as you know is kind close to sandbox with littlebit of themepark.

Its a great game for all who wanne experience a old game with open world no insatnce no guidance no quest hubs or npc's with ! above head, its there where its very close to sandbox.

It have nice drops that reminds you of themeparks with fun stuff you can travel fast by portals.

Of course £9.50 doesn't seem that bad for a new mmorpg, but ac2 isn't new, isn't even one that's been up and rrunning all this time.  It's an mmo that had to be shut down because it didn't have enough subs to keep it going.  As that I have to agree with the op and think they are overcharging, but am going to say they are overcharging everybody not just us in th UK.  Would have liked to see this one with a f2p model like lotro or ddo maybe.  Or even better release at say 50%(give or take) of the premium.

Nice point, Nailzz. I totally agree. If the snobs don't want you, you wouldn't want to play with them anyway. They don't play for the joy of sharing an experience with others. They play to get stuff and maybe lord it over others and compete amongst themselves. It's just a microcosm of RL, isn't it? 

Sure you have some elitist but majority of AC2 is very nice and help full.

 

The people who are fun to play with like to play with other people and experiment with different group configurations and figure out how to solve problems together. THAT is the fun for this group of players. 

 

I'm not talking specifically about AC2 yet, because I haven't played it, but this is what I've seen is many other games.

 

EDIT: Are you guys still playing? I just bought AC and will dowload AC2. Has anyone thought about making a guild (fellowship?) for us, for casuals only? I play at odd times since I live in GMT +9 and have a wierd schedule, but there shouldn't be any pressure in our fellowship. We just play when we want, chat, help out if anyone needs, and just play the way we older folks enjoy^^

Im lvl62 tumerok CB Forestdutch and i always start fellows taking all classes in my groups and take anyone who wanne come, you have 9 players in one fellow and i go for heal/tank/dd/sorc/chant/range.

Many times we dont have a heal or tank or mezz but as long we can hunt we go and also alway try bridge if 53 wanne join and we can bridge i let him in.

Asheron's call 2 community is like this; They gratz you when become hero WHOLE SERVER do this, they welcome you in fellow they help-wait or get you when you dont have portal or have hard time get to hunt spot, many give items gear when you can use it from total strange in your fellow thats AC2 community for you.

When in deungeon majority will go to great lenght that all finish and get you when die ive even many times with random groups experience they all leave dungeon go to entrance to get the one guy who died and do dungeon all over again.

We chat again in fellow chat have fun and communicate alot very nice, if a group hunts in area where our fellow also wanne we leave and go seek another spot no grievers in AC2.

In last 8 years ive not experience such a nice community then in Asheron's call2 and ive played alot of mmo's over apst 10 years.
