i was wondering what was the game about so Ii checked the website.  guess what?  they dont even bother to briefly introduce the game, the environment, the classes, the races,  and that basic stuff.....

so who will buy a game when they dont have an idea what is it about? no wonder it got less than  rating.....

RIFT...........................NOT !!! what a failed game....

i'll wait for other mmorpg to be released.

most mmorpg got good side vs bad side.  for example cov/coh, Star War, Age of Reckoning and many others.

usually the good sides are play by people who are not a good person in real life. usually their attitude are very bad.

because they are in Chinese. there are also alot of local made chinese mmorpg.

steam : i use it to buy games.

xfire : i use it to track who is playing what games .  it also allows me to track the number of hours i have spend on a game so that i will know i need to GET A LIFE.  xfire can allows you to capture screenshot, video and even broadcast the games that you are playing! like a LIVE view.  pretty cool stuff. and not forget the in-game message.

hello, you quoted my whole post and referred to one sentence ;) ofcourse what you wrote is true, but keep in mind that NA/ EU are 2nd or even 3rd mmo games world, so if we judge "Aion" by "EU/ NA standards" this game is still successful. I don't know the numbers (read somwhere that Aion EU+NA= 500k players, dunno if it is true) but how many games have better population?

hello, I subscribed to Aion about 2 weeks ago and I can not agree with your opinion.

only 2 weeks.....tell us how you when you are lv 30 or 40......but you not first. a lot of new players love the game, but after lv 40 or above..they will start to leave....

people left because there is no pvp content.   if you want pve content, go back now, coz no one actaully pvp nowadays....

another reason why people is so afraid of pvp is that you loss more AP then you gain AP.  AP is something you can exchange for PVP items.  people will grind upper fort instances or lower fort instance to farm ap...sooner or later they will feel bore.

if they want people to pvp more, they need to remove AP loss penalty.....or else everyone will hide behind the guard and spam the taunt or chicken emote.

for those who played this game before will know exactly what i mean..

what platform is the game for? PS3 or pc? or xbox?

there is nothing much to do in Aion. no pvp is a boring game. i am lv 54 and i dont even bother to get it to max lv, which is only 1 level away..

is it still the same 1xp exp as usual?

ok, it is Feb now,2 months from your post, check out that forum again, lot of people is not going to buy the game, they are cancelling the pre-order.

please dont compare rift with war, it's an insult. from lv 10-20, you will be pvping in a small square...how boring !! in WAR , t1 you can  pvp at northland(open), or SC pvp. you got different objectives to meet.

in t2 , t3, you can go to elf land, dawrt land , chao/emp land for pvp.

for rift, a lot of people have already cancelled their pre-order.

i dont understand why people think that WAR is a disappointment, it is the 1st f2p game that i converted to subscribe member. mind you, i have play a lot of mmorpg(check my xfire signature), i am done with those mindless grinding and boring pvp like RIFT, champion online, Aion and etc..

it was already f2p for quite a while...

Finally, WAR is far from dead, i can find more players compare to Aion ! i am at GMT +8 time zone, those players from NA should be sleeping while i am playing but it was not, i can still find full WB easily

I am done grinding for levels.  Craft grinding is OK if the gear is better than anything that drops from a mob.

 

I think that is why I liked the first 11 levels of WAR.  You could level that in scenarios.

 

I am in Rift now ( a few hours a week because of grad school) but I am sure I will never get to max level in that game because I am done grinding.  DONE.

 

Here is a list of things I would like to see in a game.

1.  PvP from the start.

2.  No grind for skills and levels

 that is the reason why i subscribe to WAR. i am just like you, i am done grinding.
