Call me odd but I always liked the UI of FFXI and now the UI of XIV over the basic row of boxes on the bottom of my screen that I just reaarange so that I can mash them in order...

Yeah I could not find it anywhere on the net for digital DL. I ended up calling a couple Gamestops in the area and they had a copy of the CE that I went and picked up.

I love the idea of the game MMO/Strategy and I can even deal with a item mall but they pushed the item mall a little to far IMO. It's like buying a new Xbox360 game when it first comes out at $60... I'll wait a couple months and pick it up for $30 when the price drops or even $20 if it goes that far. I'm just going to wait for the item mall prices to drop, then I'll jump in.

Sorry Blizzard but you take way to long between updates and Cata was just a major let down for me personally... I always defended Blizzard for taking so long to release new expansions and games because I knew they would be great, but after Cata that changed. I jumped over to Starcraft only to find out I can only play terran missions and have to wait years to complete the game... That's cool I'll just play Diablo III... Nevermind, I'll be waiting for years there too. Does anybody know if Diablo II has been fully updated?

Depends... I prefer PC versions of anything because I like to upgrade my system every 6 months or so and push the limits of all the games out there. On the other hand if you don't want to spend all the money on PC upgrades then PS3 for sure, the system is pretty kick ass and will be around for a few more years.

I actually picked up the CE a couple weeks back and the game is awesome... It's different. Visuals are incredible and the depth is there which some may not agree with. I was a huge fan of FFXI and most did not like that game because of the controls along with death pentaly, camping NM, etc... I can agree that both games have thier "OMG why is this so complicated" moments but they are different and from most of the forums I read everyone wants something different...but not to different....

I always had an issue with my ATI cards when paying WOW and found that my old Geoforce 7600 ran it better the a HD 4890 and my GT430 is even better... Only with WOW though, ATI seems to not get along.

Im running a Quad Core AMD, 4GB Ram, ATI Radeon 4890 and can get 60FPS out of the city on High detail 1360*720 (HD TV). If I go into the city I drop to 20 FPS... I have tried in on XP and Vista 64Bit with about the same results. One thing I did notice is that either my video card or the game are very paticular on certain resolutions. If I hook up to a LCD 19inch monitor I can run at 1600*1200 Ultra and stay at 50 FPS in and out of town, when I switch to my LCD TV and dumb the resolution down to 1360*720 it actually runs slower... My advice would be to try it with what you have, you should be able to run on low settings and fool around with different resolutions.

I'm with Destino! If you can play all the classes, both factions, and complete all the crafting in the what...Like 3 months this game has been out then yes this is not the game for you... Then again, life is probably not for you either so, good luck with that. I've been playing since Beta and have only got a few toons up into the 20's with both factions, it took me that long just to figure out if I wanted to go Gurdian or Defiant, what server I wanted to play on, what race I wanted to be, and holy hell what souls I wanted to go with. I'm still not sure on my selection for souls but I just found a decent guild in the past couple weeks, so for me the game is just starting. I'm sure in a few years we will have a bunch of Trolls complaining about how great Vanilla Rift was and how the Xpansions screwed it up, but hey that's the online community.

Server Population hasn't been an issue for me, I'm still lagging when I go into Meridian from all the toons running around.

Great game! I love the Rifts and invasions as they break up the typical quest grinding. I can be out completing some quest and all of a sudden I see a RIFT in the distance, hmmm take a break head over there bust some heads, meet some people, then go back to questing, awesome! I was also awe struck for the first time in a MMO in a looooooong time when I completed my first IT run and just the epicness of downing this huge boss that does not even fit on my screen. I also ventured into a new area last night (can't remember the name) it's in the mountains with trolls everywhere and the landscape really felt huge. There was an invasion going on and a bunch of players were bottlenecked down in a valley taking on hordes of NPC's and I just ran in joined the public group and had a blast!

Has anyone confirmed that this is not a phising scam? There is some improper grammar in the email that I recived...

The grind can get old at times but it does serve the purpose of helping you learn your class. I have been in several ICC WOW runs where someone just bought their lvl 80 off Ebay and can't play worth a crap and gets everyone killed. It also makes you feel a little more unique when you have lvl capped your toon along with his professions and got all the top end gear, I know that some lazy butt can't just roll a toon and have everything I have achieved through questing, collecting, etc... I think Guild Wars provides a great in between for those that want a little more depth then say a "Call of Duty" but not so much as FFXI. To each his own :D

LOVE IT! My 6 year old son is constantly begging me to play WOW because I play it but it is still a little to mature and complicated for him to grasp. I have been looking for something to get him into and he loves all the legos games :) Can't wait to roll a toon with him and knock out some legos!
