The dumbing down of the human species is beyond me!

I have toons on both badlands and gorefang..they both have there  moments but gorefang seems to be more persistent in my op. badlands just seems to be in spikes and certain tiers. although i havent played in probably 2 months almost so i might have changed.

Why you always doing first impression videos for old ass games people already know about?

People wanna here about and see video of new games dude. Or games that are under our normal radar even. No offense bro! just sayin!

I voted yes because  It being star wars and a mmorpg. That alone is going to bring many players. Im also sure that it will hold up for awhile because of all the classes have diffrent story lines to follow. So if you cap out one class and your finally bored of endgame content. You can reroll a new toon and not be burned out with the same olld quest line. Thats just brilliant. Sure as your leveling it will be mostly solo play , but people solo play till endgame most of the time anyway.

The game sounds amazing to me and i cant wait to play it.

This is why MMO's are always doomed to fail..Haters always wanting to hate. All i ever see on every post on this site. Just because you guys are stuck in some  gaming black hole. Where nothing satisfies you, and cant replace the feeling you had with your main mmo. Doesnt mean newer games suck. It just means your old and busted and need to get out the mmo game.

Sure Rift feels like a copy and paste of previous mmorpg titles  i agree with that. Even if you wanted to call it a WoW clone i can see that. Thing is just about every mmorpg that comes out pretty much all follow the same formula. The reason being is the formula works and has proven to be successful time and time again.

Out of the 200 mmorpg's out there floating around Rift is the only good WoW clone. I find the game to be actually pretty fun.

Although at lower levels i didnt feel that way .. it wasnt till around 25 i actually started to enjoy it.

If your looking for somthing revolutionary in gameplay jump ship now , because it just aint gonna happen and be a success.

Many games tried this..to be different..to think outside of the clone box..Look where they ended up..all closed down or now on a f2p model.

The choices are pretty much (1. A broken attempt at a sandbox style mmorpg which the masses wouldnt enjoy , because most people dont have the time or patience for something of the sort. (2. A rehashed theme park style mmorpg which has proven to be successful if done right. (3. A totaly new style mmorpg with new mechanics , but same old kill XX many amount of whatever , just with unfamilier button sequences which either end up being repetitive or buggy.

So ya Trion played it safe with there first mmo and went the theme park direction. Cant say that i blame them for that. The game is good not GREAT but good. And defenetly better than any other p2p game thats out right now other than WoW. I even like it better than Aion which was my second most played mmorpg.

2 games that thought out of the clone box which i feel deserved a better fighting chance in this cutthroat genre.

I played the game till lvl 40 than leveling started to really be a hassle + It is a P2W game..Talking more than a monthly sub. Dont waste your time ! Let the game die and maybe a less greedier company will run it.

Idk if Rift is the second largest mmorpg in the west , but it could possibly be atm. All i know is that i picked one server out of the

bunch..didnt study on which server was the most popular at all , and the server has a very healthy playerbase and in prime hours of the day sometimes i have 30 mins que times. Even at 4am there is still people running around. 4am warfronts are still popping within 5 mins. The games is in good shape..i personally havent ran in to alot of bugs but doesnt mean there not there.

1 million paid customers is not that far fetched.. i actually play the game and see the healthy playerbase with my own eyes!

So if you wanna argue about wether or not its a lie or some marketing ploy?..feel free..have at it. Truth is no one really knows for sure except Trion , and on that note who really cares.

Rift pulled off a successfull launch..plus maintained there stamina for the past 6 months..yes some lost inetrest that goes for all games. Lots of people bought it at launch some people left , lots of people stayed. So ya there was a decrease of players for a min, as all the mmorpg hoppers hopped on than hopped off. But now the game is showing a steady increase of players instead of a decline.

Just because you dont like the game doesnt mean thats its not a success. You dont like it so it has to be fail right?..ppssh get over it.

SWG is just old and busted..time to pull the plug on the old fart if you ask me !

Even F2p would do no good..lets be honest here with SWTOR around the corner, and Sony being the greedy batards they are.

The F2p model would be outrageous for 2 reasons..1) they would suck all the money they can till swtor release so overpriced CS would be in under statement...2) Only the die hard fans of SWG would probably play it..no offense but there is just better F2p games.

So let it die if you ask me..along with every other Sony Online game. Only decent mmo they had was EQ , and thet ruined that.

Dont waste your time or money unless it went F2p. If there was a definition of Terribad Earhrise would be it.

At first glance Rift Felt like a rehash of other games..I did not really care for it , but as i stuck with it the game i have to admit is really fun to play. 

I do plan on buying SWTOR , but i can say will defenetly not play WOW ever again. Rift is my new mmorpg home.

On a personal i dont feel SWTOR or GW2 will effect Rift as much it will effect WoW. Rift will be fine..

WoW may have started to go downhill , but its still a fun game. I can actually play WoW for a couple of hours and have fun doing it. People that claim that Wow sucks now are probably just burned out. Ive played WoW since 06 , and at times i get burned out and dont play it for months. I always come back though.

Rift has nice graphics , runs smooth , etc..etc.. but the game feels so generic. I fell asleep plenty of times at the keyboard playing Rift. Somthing i have never done in WoW. Dont get me wrong Trion did a fine job , and will defennitly give there next mmorpg a go. Its just rift just didnt cut it for me on the fun factor.

I hate to say it but if you want some good open world pvp..Id go with WAR over these 2 any day . Also join the Gorefang server

the action has really picked up on that server.

If it these 2 or nothing i would choose WoW..Trust me WoW does it better ..plus a heela of alot more content.

Both without a doubt..im sure the timeline which both games are released is far enough apart. So purchasing both will not be a problem. As of which one am I more Intrested in? SWTOR without a doubt ! You can say what you want but SWTOR will in the long run have  more to offer than GW2. Plus fantasy mmorpg's are so over played.  We need a good Scifi game!

Dont get me wrong..im not hating on GW2..like i said im going to buy it also, and im sure ill get my moneys worth as its B2p.

Of coarse i pretty much buy every new mmorpg cause i live in a small town with nothing to do. You cant even buy alcohol where i live. It took everything i had in  me to avoid buying Rift. Boy am i glad i dodge the bullet on that polished turd.

I just love how if a game isnt near as succesfull as World Of Warcraft its considered a flop , or in other words a fail.

Just because Rift did not hit sales as big as WoW does doesnt mean that its a fail. It took bizzard years to accumulate there sub. base. Rift had a very nice launch and the game is good  enough to keep a healthy sub base. Although not quite the WoW killer it was suppose to be. It is in no way a fail game!

SWTOR is the only mmorpg coming out this year i have been looking forward to. It will be very succesfull , and Bioware put alot of time and money into this game. Much more so than Trion did with Rift. Just because SWTOR didnt break the mold in ground breaking mechanics doesnt mean its a WoW copy (clone). The thing is other games tried this .. Tried to bring a fresh new UI  , and mechanics. Those games failed just as bad as any other game. In other words the common mechanic used in WoW and many other games is used for a reason. That reason being its just what works for the genre  , and works well.

For example FPS games are all pretty much the same in gameplay. With some new little ideas thrown in to make it seem different even though its the same. You mind as well call every FPS game a Golden Eye clone. Not saying Golden Eye was the orginal FPS but it was the game that made FPS a success. Why do game companies that make FPS all use the same type of game mechanic? It just works for the FPS genre and works well. Can you see where im going with this?

SWTOR will be a great game with tons of reasons to keep playing for a long time , and i cant wait !
