First impressions...what the hell is up with the commentators voice. Can't work out if it is a woman or a 13 year old boy who's voice is on the verge of breaking.

Very annoying voice. For someone doing such a long voiceover job, I would have expected some thought be put into who was doing the talking, specifically making sure people didnt skip or mute it just because that persons voice is completely unsuited for the job.

Typical Asian game all fluff, this is the kind of game that girls will like with all the fluffy looking content, but this is not for me. I am unable to enjoy looking at fluff. Call me old school but this sucks. Seems they trying to make the game play fun and the fluff detracts from this for me. Still there is time for them to change some of the visual side of the game for it to look more like we used to in western terms of gaming experience.

As for the voice was a female but I hear what you saying was very squeaky indeed, but that's not the ladies fault it's her accent which made it sound worse and I commented to my mates on team speak about the voice funny enough.

Not tying to be rude toward you but there are plenty of adult guys who don't take themselves seriously that wouldn't care how "flfuffy" this game looks. Look at Tera, etc. Trion is already wanting westernized faces but what else could they change in the game without making look ass ugly and out of place? There are mounts that don't look cutesty, a race based on the European look and other options, the game isn't forcing you to subject to fluff.

I don't know, I have to side with Bandit on this one, it looked like Saturday morning cartoon content.  All fluff, IM sure the kids and girls  will like it, but I saw nothing in that massively long video that was of any interest to me.

There Xbox One is a digital media system. Its not like the PS4 which is still a physical media system. It is based around cloud computing. When you buy a game you will install it do your system and an image will also be saved to the cloud. This is how you can log in to any system anywhere and play your games. This is why things like the always on and 24 hour check are features of the Xbox One.

24 hour Online Check: This does not mean that your console has to be always connected but it must connect at least once every 24 hours. This is mainly to protect against piracy and to allow your games to always be updated. This is cloud computing so they do not want somebody to take a Xbox One, hack it and then connect it back to there servers. This is simply for protection. No more waiting on patch 2.2 that's coming in 2 weeks. By being always connected the content will be constantly added. Imagine getting up the next morning and turning on your system to find that your Killer Instinct has 2 new character or your Call Of Duty has 5 new maps. If for some reason your internet goes down then you can use your cell phone's internet to do the online check. If you for some reason you still cant do that and fail to allow the system to check then you gaming will be blocked but you still can access all media. I am unsure how you will unlock your system. Does it unlock when you connect again and does the check or do you have to contact Microsoft?

By always on all they are saying is that even when you turn your system off it will not  be completely off but rather in a very low power sleep state to allow the constant xbox live connection for content updates and 24 hour check.

People keep saying that I don't own my games but they need to know that its digital and not phyical. By selling Xbox One games as digital download and disc you actually can sell or trade  but not to places like GameStop. I can buy a game and don't like and then turn around and sell  or trade it to my friend at work but its a 1 time thing. My friend at work who got the game from me cannot sell it to his cousin or anybody else because it wont work. So for me if I was to buy a used game from somebody it would have to be for a really great price knowing that game is going to be mine forever and I cant sell or trade it. They are working on being able to trade them back in to certain retailers but I am still looking for more info on that one.

The developers are the ones asking Microsoft and Sony for this. The want people to buy games from then and not from places like Gamestop where they don't get any revenue from. If a Developer has a plan to make this 100 Million doller AAA title do they put in PS4 where they may sell 5Million copies which half of them end up at Gamestop for them to resell where they dont get anything from or do I go with Xbox One where I can sell 10 Million because the is no used market so everything will come from us. Microsoft wants to make digital gaming like Steam where there are always games at good prices but without the developers being happy this cannot happen.

You can create an Family Circle on your account and allow any 10 people access to your entire game library. By an image of your game being stored on the cloud this is how a person can play your library or how you can log on to any Xbox One and play your games. Only downside is that the person will have to be on your friends list for 30 days. I think they should change this to 24 hours since the system does a 24 hour check. If you have a really good friends list you may never have to even buy a game but just play games that your friends own and your friend can be anywhere the world. There is no disc required and you do not have to pay. This is a very good feature of the Xbox One.

Foraz 5:

Xbox One is based around cloud computing will be something really different. Forza 5 for example will not have computer AI. You will be racing against real peoples intelligence called drivatar. As you play your Drivatar will being made by how you play. When you log off from Forza you wont be there but your drivatar will still be in game racing for you. When you log back on you may find your drivatar has earned you money or new cars. This is where the always on benefits you.

Sunset Overdrive;

Open world multiplayer shooter where the developers are going to build the world on feedback from the players. Content will be constantly added to the world at all times. MMO maybe? Its toon soon to say right now but again this is the where the always on comes in to play. Developers can now build worlds in game.

This is what  the Xbox One is. Its the first digital console we have ever had. Microsofts only problem is that they did not say any of this at E3.

All info can be found here.

If you have to work this hard to sell something, maybe it's because it's not worth buying.

No, submit to the wall of text, its good for you.

If its not on my mind does that mean there is something wrong with me, and can you be positive its going to be F2P with a cash shop?

Combat, make it fun and more people might actually play it.  As it stands today the core combat mechanics are dreadfully boring.  There just aren't enough meaningful skills, there is no real synergy between what they have and far to many passives and bleeds doing all the work.

The one class that appears to have some depth of play is nothing more than a button mashing frenzy.  I hate to use this cliché but size matters, and the size of their hot bar is way to small.

Nice looking world though. Shame.

Perma death in a game like D3 and perma death in a full blown MMO are two entirely different animals.  You cant even being to compare the two.

I have zero attachment to characters in games like D3, could care less what happens to them.

I absolutely agree. They are a themepark feature that should never be in any MMO, themepark or not.

Neverwinter has like 4 different kinds of "dailies" hell they have hourly's and people are just falling all over themselves to play that game.

But I agree, I hate em, my point is that what I see is more and more games using them as content fillers and things to keep you logged in and busy.  Notice how I said busy and not having fun.

Cant handle the gigantic white and red circles blocking my view, unplayable.

Yes AO 'invented' dynamic spawning and events that would happen based upon player activities, it's just one of dozens of innovations to the genre AO made. :) Rift may have had a hand, but their idea of dynamic event is 'run x event every x minutes'. There is very little dynamic about anything, it just cycles based partially upon input from the player. GW2 DE's are thoroughly more complex and absolute have impacted the industry, and there are a dozen MMOGs and other games that have very clearly been inspired by GW2 style DEs. From Wildstars 'dynamic quest generation' to ESO to those mentioned above and many others.

GW2 changed the game. I know folks hate to admit it, but it's true.

GW2's events are far from game changing.  They bring nothing to the table that hasn't been done before, they just built their entire quest system around it.  Instead of getting a quest from a quest giver you run around look for quest events to start, but I'm glad you like them.

And i find $15 a month for any game a much worse entertainment bargain than,

when i can have the same amount of fun for free.

That's because your a tire kicker, tire kickers love F2P games.

Ya I totally agree paying for things  sucks. Why cant more things in life be completely free, you know like cars, houses, cloths, food, vacations, boats.

How come we  have to spend money on things?  I don't get it, its 2013 and everything I want isn't free yet? I mean if its on the internet it should be free right?   I can just download it and install it, I shouldn't have to pay for something like that.  There is no value in software.

And don't they make their money off of other people besides me?  You know the people that buy things in the CASH SHOP?  I don't totally understand how economics and all that stuff works, but when I was a kid I didn't have to pay for anything and nothing bad happed to my parents.  Isn't there someone else out there that can foot the bill for me still?

I'm so depressed and upset, I think I'm going to vomit..........

You don't get it, what happens when you have the same type of items competing between the cash shop and the game is that the in game currency price of things will INFLATE, its called inflation.  Making your in gold currency worth less, thus driving up the cost of those player made bags in game.  You will see a huge influx of game currency once it goes F2P and you can start buying things with real money.

You will see, its just basic economics, one currency affects the other, the price of items will change, its inevitable.

There is a Wildstar flash based add with a girl or woman, certainly a female of some sort, getting angry because someone asked her about her path.

Why is she so angry? I'm not objecting or anything, but it just seems like an overreaction.

Um, did you even pay attention to the video when you watched it, did you have the sound down?  Why would you ask such a silly question unless the whole message from the video shot right over your head.

Has GW2 gotten more interesting? I got bored and quit playing after about a month. I liked it better than WoW (which isn't saying much), but as I don't have any friends who play it got kind of stale.

I don't think so, I keep going back and trying it. but the classes really are a snooze feast.   They all just seem gutted from some other more complex system.  I cant explain it, tons of button mashing but nothing rewarding comes from it.

There's just simply not enough skills to choose from, and the ones they have just don't fit together well.  The scenery is nice to look at though.

I bought the game once already, have no intentions of paying full price for it again. Maybe if the price drops to what a sub costs I will try it and see what has changed but til then have fun.

If you already bought it you don't have to buy it again. You just pay the monthly fee.

And it's a radically different game with almost all the design flaws fixed. It's probably the best MMO to come out in recent memory.

And no, DF1 did not die. Nor is DFUW almost all reused assets.

The targeting system is a disaster.  Until they give me an option to turn it off so it doesn't block my view of combat, Ill never play it.

What just occured to me is that the xbox one is perfect for arguing with your parents: "No, you wont get a xbox, all you will do is play the whole time" "But mooom, you can watch your favirite tv series and dad can have his dreamteam!"

kinda clever marketing towards unwilling parents.

Are you assuming someone's parents are too stupid to realize they can already watch their favorite TV Series or dream team on the TV they already have?

Wrong, way way wrong, but everyone should be allowed to dream.

Making clones of existing MMO's does not make the next "big" MMO.

Haven't we learned anything yet?

Hey, as long as the hybrid model allows for people to pay to have "advantages" that aren't too big and can be overcome with a bit of skill and patience and that people who don't pay aren't given rediculous restrictions, I'll be happy.

So your happy with a model that "seems" stomachable at launch then just sitting around waiting for the developer to pull the rug out from under you via the cash shop.

I'm not, because it eventually does and will happen.

Bad ones yes

Good ones no

Nice find
I guess you don't need mounts in this game being everyone runs around at 75 miles per hour, and jumps 60 feet in the air.  All developers are doing at this point is just taking everything that already exists in games and turning the knob up.  Neverwinter did it with their combat recently too.  Pretty soon MMO game play is just going to look like gnats flying around a bug zapper.
