Worth buying after 1.18?

There are a lot of weird combat issues that they "know exist" at this point that are supposed to have some forthcoming hotfixes. The new combat system is a bit iffy though. You have to enter combat mode by getting out your weapons "F" key on most keyboards. Then you approach the target and use skills and auto attack and whatever else. |

Worth buying after 1.18?
General Discussion « Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn 7/29/11 1:35:41 PM
I've played since the VERY beginning of this game. I can tell you at this point; the game is not ready for "new players" that want to see if the game is ready.
We have more patches coming, 1.19 is suppose do introduce mounts and what not, but the game isn't ready for the casual "i want to have fun" person yet. |

Originally posted by PancakeEffct Either way, you made a really stupid assumption without even investigating the game. The first thing you should've realized was three different factions, which descriminates from WoW almost instantly. |

Because there is no longer any innovation. Nobody has come across the "new and innovative multiplay experience". |

Originally posted by mrcalhou Weird, I can honestly say I don't have these issues. When a monster "hits" me, I recieve damage, on animation touch. As for the whole mage ordeal, I've never touched magic abilities in this game, so I can't really help you there. :( |

Originally posted by mrcalhou There's actually been a LOT of improvements since the launch. The menus respond way quicker, leves initate quicker, there are more quests and content to explore, a nice new dungeon, extra leves from 20-40 range. Behest have been changed to ever ~30 instead of every hour. (Even though they did lower the amount of people. >:O) Anyways, there's a lot of great improvements they've done. If you played through the game the entire time, you'd take more notice I suppose. |

If you are talking about opening windows -
Go into Configurations > Keyboard
You'll be able to set new controls from there, I've set mine up like so;
V - Lock Target Tab - Target Enemy G - Linkshell Menu H - Main Menu (Lists all the other menus) J - Journal (Quests) K - Actions & Skill Bar Setups C - Character Gear L - Character Attributes
These are just some basic ones. If you want a full guide on quick switching classes, check out FFXIVorigin. They have some nice starter guides for quick setups and easy fixes to running through the menus quicker. |

Anyone else happy that GW2 wont be a grinder/raiding/gear grind
General Discussion « Guild Wars 2 7/23/11 9:22:01 PM
I like how so many people are making random assumptions, the game hasn't even hit beta, or testing of any sort for anyone except internal, yet people are stating there's "NO GRIND" and raiding is obsolete, how do people know all this? |
