I have observed the debaters for "no children in the game because they're immature and irritating" and have come to the conclusion that it seems to be some kind of "I don't want you to play this game, but I just want you to know that it is so awesome" - much like the big brother teasing his smaller brother, because he isn't tall enough to try the roller-coaster. The debaters for "no children in the game" should stop writing and take a good look at themselves and think about who the immature people really are, and in what age-group they are in. You write that most immature players are in the 13-17 age-group, but from which statistics do you base that on? Do you ask every single person who annoys you? Your statements are based on mere assumptions. Most of the people I find annoying in EVE or WoW are actually +18 (I ask them). A typical response when I tell them to stop is something along these lines: "Get a life, nerd", "It's only a game." "Haha, NOOB!!", and so on. With a lot more grammatical errors and net-slang, of course.

The argument that blood, gore and nudity are bad for us is also invalid, as you do not have any evidence to support it. I played Soldier of Fortune (An FPS where you can shoot off limbs etc.), when I was 10-11 years old, and I fully knew, that I wasn't supposed to do that in-real-life, and that it was only a game. Children around that age, who can't differ game from reality, are insane, weren't raised accordingly, and should not be allowed to be near television, comics etc. either.

I am now 16, one of the top students in my class, and I have not taken any damage from playing vioent games. The roots your arguments are therefore not empirical, and should not be used to create laws and rules.

Don't forget the queen of the Naga, Queen Azshara. She's pretty badass, but I seriously doubt she's stronger than Arthas.

Wow! Please, get some more sources of gaming information. Ragnar has written on his blog, that the reasons for the incredible basic E3 presentation, was because of the small amount of time for the presentation (They wanted the "new" press people to understand the basics of the game, so they showed what made "us" say: "Wow! That's an awesome-looking game!" Blame the shitty new-E3 planning, not FunCom) and because of a poor internet service at the location of the presentation.

erm... you are aware of the global market when it comes to MMOs right? Though it looks big from where you stand, WoW is nowhere near being the global market leader in MMOs. It has been beaten in sheer subs repeatedly in fact. I guess this makes them all better games then it?

MMORPG.COM covers all kinds of MMORPG's obviously, hurray for them.

As I said in my post above; you can't compare a subscription based game, where you pay every month, to a game where you pay for a couple of items at any given time.

MMOGchart.com is out of date by over a year or so because the guy who maintains that site stopped bothering some time ago so its a very inacurate way of measuring numbers. Also that chart doesant take into account the wrorld amrket. Recently Blizzard announced 9 million subs yet most majour asian MMO's have more than 20 so i think you need to reevaluate your post a bit.

You can't compare WoW to any of those asian sweatshop MMOs, unless the sweatshop MMOs you compare WoW to, uses the same kind of pay-per-month subscribing system, and not that stinking pay-per-epic-item crap.

People like this game because it has huge weapon models, which is typical for asian MMOs, and they feel the large size compensates for something that is small on/in their body.
