I beilive that they complain because of the fact that it was "dumbed down" so to speak. From what I understand, WoW was not always like this.

Also, in regards to leveling: I believe that leveling is part of the MMO, and should in fact be challenging. I think that early leveling should be larning your class, and late leveling being utilizing your class, mastering it I should say. But that's just me.

Yes, but our government does not throw people in jail for speaking out. A LOT of prisoners in China did nothing wrong, whereas with us its about 40%. Which, with any justice system, is unavoidable.

And this news is pretty old.

I hope you like it, and I understand if you don't. It's not a game for everyone, but its very addicting if you can get into it. You kind of have to know how to Roleplay, but its not too bad and your should be able to pick it up.

It looks like when you follow a link from "Current Forum Activity" on the home page, the link first takes you to the current page of the thread, then anchors to the bottom of the page (which makes two separate points in the history). The first time you click the back button it directs you to the top of the current page. The next time you click the back button, it might actually go back. Sometimes, like the OP says, it takes a few clicks to actually go back.

Happens in IE9 and FF5. Didn't test any other browsers.

I use Chrome and it doesn't seem to do that for me, but I might be clicking the wrong thing somehow.

Please tell me that the video tells them that not everyone needs to be a Pyro? That ruined TF2 for me, sorry to say it. I know the F2Pers are not all to blame, but on my server we used to have balanced teams, and we had fun. Now, pretty close to every server is full or empty, and there seem to be Pyros everywhere.

But I am done ranting. I am willing to help anyone that needs it, most expirienced as a Sniper and a Spy, but I can help with other classes too.

Not everyone can enjoy minecraft, because not everyone is capable of being creative. Minecraft is not so much about survival, although when 1.8 comes out I advise you all to try again, its supposed to be more of an adventure game and you all DID pay for it already. Minecraft is about building, and trying to stretch your imagination. Then its about survivng zombies, but only a little, until your in The Nether and giant flying squids are shooting explosives at you and zombie pigmen with golden swords are running around. Oh and the lava all over the place. 

The first thing to note, this is NOT an MMO. It is done sort of MMO, where you see everyone in your server, but there is no real MMO feel to it. Basically you get into a server, some are public, some are not, and play a round, which has numerous endings.

When a match starts, you get the chance to make a character. That character stays on that server only, but I don't tend to hop servers much. You can pick three favorite jobs, your hair style and color, eye color, and name. Most of this is actually changable in game, with the right help.

pick the Assistant job your first go around, and learn the interface and controls. Talk in OOC with people, and remember that you don't know much, so ask questions. Don't be afraid to ask to help out certain parts of the station, sample everything and see what you like and don't like.

Jimmac To answer your questions: 

To your first question, I am not sure whats so fun about it. It allows you to socialize with other people, its about trying to not die from things like aliens and meteors (or playing as the aliens and trying to kill the crew) and some of the other insane stuff that can happen in the game.

- do you have a suggested "server" I should play on? I currently play a private server. Your free to choose any, but Powerful Station was a decent one. FacePunch is OK, but the admin can be a douche

- do you have suggested days and times which are best to play, if this matters at all? Not really, just whenever your freinds from the server are on.

- is there a group of people new players should try to hook up with, like a guild or clan, which are trustworthy and won't grief new players? Powerful Station is against greifing, which can occur.

- any other important tips a new person should know, or anything a new player should watch out for? Yes, the combat system is the most evil thing ever. Its called robusting, which is basically taking anything (yes there is weapon quality still) and hitting someone with it. Its not the best system, but you have a chance to fight.

Casual Gamer With yours I am just going to comment on it to say if its in the game or not. 

3D 3rd person view either top down or some kinda side perspective. Its 2D, top down, sort of. Its hard to describe.

Allow for station roles including science/research, defense, builders, shopkeepers, etc. You can choose a job. The main feilds are Science, Medicine, Security, Engineering, Civil Serivce (Janitor, Cook, Bartender, Ect.) and Other (Clown, Mime, ect.)

Players will have on station challenges such as asteroid showers, equipment malfunction, disease outbreaks, alien attack, etc. Yes, meteors, alien attacks, other alien attacks, genetics doing something stupid, traitors, engineering doing something stupid, ect.

Eventually allow for space flight from the station to explore and gather resources. There is a mining station.

Players can create new stations in same or different systems. You technically CAN make a new station, but its hard to do.

Trade begins between stations. Only one main station.

Planetary exploration and colonization. Unfortunatly no, but the game is still being updated frequently.

Too bad that if you bought beta, your supposedly going to have to rebuy the launch version. At least that's what it sounded like at the end of Alpha testing back in December.

Oh, and because I don't think there is any harm in it, check out LostCraft.net. We are a huge server, friendly community and all that. The mods are actually trying to do there jobs, and the owners are great guys.

and Cyress, thats not a complete list, he has over 40 things he wants to add to 1.8. Bosses is speculated as one of them.

Actually Notch already has a boss in the game, its called the Giant. Its a zombie that is like 20 blocks tall, and has 100 health. Its passive, and does not spawn in the world. I am an admin on my server, and I have spawned a few before. Oh, and we are WAY off topic. There is already a minecraft thread.

Well, actually you have already quoted that part of my message. So I think the term is ninja'd.

I never had much of a gear grind, save for in teh begining. And I doubt Notch will do that much.

• Fully working Creative Mode (and individual admins can enter Creative Mode on a Survival Mode server if they choose)

RuneScape wouldn't be a bad idea. It is simple to play, pretty social at times, and has servers for just about any languge. Oh and combat is pretty optional in RS, but it is most of the content still.

And I play MineCraft occasionally, I moderate a huge ass server. We are having hacker issues, or were when I last checked in. I just don't have the time to play right now though. Mostly screwing around on GMod and Space Station 13.
