More space options and sandbox elements are what I would choose for sure. |

Tap Repeatedly impressions on SWTOR
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 10/06/11 1:05:56 PM
I suppose you have to ask yourself, does the gameplay fit the setting. I haven't played SWTOR so I couldn't tell you but if it really does play like WoW then I do think that was the wrong approach to take. |

Originally posted by Amaranthar Well the game should provide the backdrop for that. Then the players can influence all of that to shape the world in different directions depending on what they do. Static "endgame" play needs to change. |

Rift: Ashes of History Impressions
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 10/06/11 12:59:43 PM
Originally posted by jdnewell Sadly I did the same thing. I thought maybe they would have done something similar to what AoC has done with their solo dungeons but the chronicle single man dungeon lasted about 10 minutes. I'm not sure how other people feel but I think Rift should have taken a page out of LotRO's playbook and put in a skirmish style system. |

Of all the games I was excited to try out at Eurogamer Expo, Star Wars: The Old Republic was definitely the most disappointing.

What Would You Do With End Game?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 10/06/11 11:50:15 AM
end game, the end of the game? If "end game" means perpetually looking for the new shiny so I can get that +1 stat on my gear, then no thank you. |

Guild Wars 2 will NOT kill World Of Warcraft.
General Discussion « Guild Wars 2 10/05/11 9:11:05 PM
I was just thinking about this the other day, can GW2 kill WoW. I guess not, thanks for setting us straight OP. |

Originally posted by Corehaven As AKAHappy said a few posts above, they only did this so that Guild Wars fans would know why they weren't getting any expansions anymore. Yeah it sucks if you are waiting for GW2 that long but they did the right thing in letting their GW fans know what's up. |

MMOs with subscription fees... what are you paying for?
General Discussion « Guild Wars 2 10/04/11 12:23:02 PM
Originally posted by jjjk29 Some truth in that but I'd also say that a game that uses subs also is greed. With that said, these companies are there to make money. Unless you run a non for profit organization your goal is to make more money than you expend. |

Originally posted by gainesvilleg Good for you. Guild Wars was never hyped so I'm not sure what you are on about. Anyway, there is no game that can please everyone. Sounds like GW2 won't for you. |

Originally posted by gainesvilleg I know right. 7 million copies sold, they must have done terrible things... |

Which class to play for me who's not good with "twitch skills"?
General Discussion « Age of Conan 10/03/11 12:41:06 PM
Originally posted by Loke666 I disagree about the Assassin. A Barbarian would be a much better choice for a new player. A sin has the least amount of survivability of all the classes (but has the highest damage output), and for a new player that could be incredibly frustrating. |
