Originally posted by Xerith I'll second fallen earth, it's something different and while not completely sandbox (no house building/farming) but it's still has nice elements and is a nice change from typical fantasy stuff. It also doesn't really have a gear grind (from what I've played), it was mostly exporing, questing, grouping and crafting, which made it pretty enjoyable. I just got bored of all the damn brown in the game, while it has great graphics, it's landscape is still quite ugly... |

Unfortunately their isn't a game like this that exists, idk why either, take runescape, upres the shit out of it and make it into a full game, but that would probably take way too long. Xsyon is a sandbox game where you can build and do whatever but the polish just isn't there. There is also Mortal Online, but again the polish isn't there and the game is pure garbage. It's just no good developers want to take on the role of a sandbox game when their is so much money at stake, and it could all be lost if it ends up being a shitty product. |

My guild and all it's bank contents are gone??
General Discussion « Darkfall 10/02/11 5:50:39 PM
Did you or one of your two sons create the guild? If you joined one I'm assuming your guild just died and the remainder of the guild items were taken by the left over members before they left. I'd contact a GM if possible, if it takes too long send their support team an email. |

Agreed, is really the only reason why I'm a little hyped for the secret world. MMO's without leveling is like an even playing field, and there's no "uggh I have 40 more levels to go to 80 till I play even an ounce of end game!". How about jumping into the game, and progressing because you WANT to progress, not because you have to level to the cap to be able to play the actual end game.
TL:DR I believe MMO's without levels are the future, including the hybrid F2P model. |

Just because they're making the game interface easier to navigate and more intuitive, doesn't mean they're all of a sudden going for consoles.
TL:DR stop whining, I know your going to buy the damn game anyway so this thread is useless.
EDIT: Also, for god sake take a grammar course please, for your own benefit. |

Sounds like hes trying to badly impersonate sean connery, very annoying. |

What video/graphics card do you have? I'm assuming it's integrated, in which the game would run like absolute garbage and look like shit with any integrated graphics with the exception of specific laptop integrated graphics. |

Do you see this game succeeding? Honest opinion and no trolling please. *poll*

It's going to succeed money wise and subscriber wise for sure, but I don't think it will succeed in the long run after the first month. |

While I do agree that the armor styles are a bit lacking with variety and imagination, I think it's because they wanted to take a more realistic (not completely realistic) approach rather than WoW style floating swords/shoulders and glowing everything. Which imo, is a LOT better because when you gear up in WoW, you look like a GIANT piece of floating metal walking around with swords twice the length and size of your body. |

Originally posted by trash656 I certainly agree with this, WoW dungeons are so rediculously easy, it ruins all challenge of the game just to get the shiny at the end. With WoW dungeons, their just not fun because their not challenging and you just tank and spank everything it seems. All dungeons I've played in Rift are pretty exciting and hard, and have wiped multiple times which NEVER happend to me in WoW. |

You quit playing an MMORPG because the dungeons were party dependent? This is one of thee dumbest things I've ever heard... In almost every single MMORPG, dungeons are for group/party play... |

Very annoying commentator... |

Originally posted by Cik_Asalin I think you just answered my personal question as to why I play mmo's... What you said right there pretty much sums up EVERY mmo. WHY can't we EVER have an mmo 'RPG', the RPG often feels gone in mmo's today. It's all grind this, grind that, why can't we kill 10x of something because we feel conntected to the story line? It's all 'sup bro kill 10x and I'll give you this', their's no consequence and you can continue progressing through the game without the completion of said quest.
Take obvlivion for example, when their is the attack at Kvatch, you can't progress through the story until you clear the whole city out. But if it was an mmo, there would be a quest giver outside kvatch, you run in, clear it, 10 minutes later everything has respawned and the player next to you is doing the same thing. While I understand that it's an mmo, but developers need to think outside of the box, and provide DYNAMIC content, not static. Dynamic content = MASSIVE replayability.
In a nutshell. BEST MMO = VARIETY + DYNAMIC CONTENT |

Quoted from my first post: "All these mmo's do is create the same exact concepts WoW has (and YES I know wow wasn't the first MMO to have these)" |

You obviously lack the knowledge that the FPS genre is a very narrow genre. What I mean by that is, there are many different types of shooters, just like their are different types of MMO's. I didn't say "why can't they innovate on themepark mmos, or sandbox mmo's" I stated MMO's in general. MMO's have become very stale and straight forward and never add anything drastically new to the table. I don't understand what your trying to poke fun at here. My guess is that you just don't understand what innovation and depth means. |

TERA: The Political System - Precedent or Controversy?
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 8/09/11 10:47:59 PM
+1 Agreed, I'm a casual mmo player and even I know I wouldn't be able to manage a political system. Leave it to the hardcore, the ones who work hard for it, are on for hours, and it'd still be awesome and interesting for the casual's to vote! |
