Sevencore: Closed Beta Key Giveaway!
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 7/20/12 10:50:56 AM
Been playing the european closed beta. It is fun, but a true WOW clone. I like it, mounts will fight for you while you are riding as a pet would. Only thing european version I am playing is in german can understand simple things but have missed most of the storyline, maybe I will get invited to english version. |

Guild Wars 2: Progress Shown this Beta Weekend
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 6/13/12 12:43:34 PM
I don't like the new map either, preferred the previous one, this one seemed in the way. Also, why don't they have quests in the city. I was exploring the city, trying to open portal and name areas, this weekend and I think at least killing rats or knocking around some hoods would add some interest. |

Path of Exile: The Disgruntled Pony: Path of Exile Edition!

I did a weekend beta this past weekend. It was quite enjoyable. The graphics are really good. Now I played Diablo3 today, very similar gameplay, graphics actually I would give to POE. There was more texture to the environment. I kind of thought D3 would of had stronger graphics. D3 definitely has a story line and a very good story line but that makes it more linear. POE has a story, now what I have played it is not as strong and sometimes I felt lost, but it gives you a more open world feel. Truthfully, what I have played, D3 harkens back to original Diablo, and POE reminds you of D2 with the ... Oh well, I digress. It was fun, I helped the developers out with there purchasing a quest pak or whatever they call. |

The Secret World: Removing Mystery's Shroud
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 5/15/12 1:28:15 PM
Boy, alot of comments, I did the beta this last weekend. I hope the text issues can be dealt with first. I could not even read half of the text. I have an amd class video card and heard that there was some driver issues yet to be corrected. At first, I found the game a little cold, and bland, but once I got to Kingsmouth the questing and backstory got me really intrigued. I like the idea of bringing thinking back into gameplay. Actual searching for clues, even an in game web browser with Google as the home page ( game hints please). That makes the game really fun. Compared to Tera, which is more about killing and killing more . Sh#t I haven't read the dialogue in the last two areas, however I do like Tera for the game it is. If they can clean up Secret World some --- deal with text, lag, and graphic issues, It will be an awsome game. I really wonder if it is ready to launch in June though. It really needs some delivery help, the game is there, but not really that clean. I mean we were limited to Templar area, and a single quest site this should be a really clean part, no bugs or very few. Oh well, another beta weekend in 4 more days, hoping for some improvements. |

Star Trek Online: F2P Version Launches
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 1/24/12 1:07:34 PM
this is my point of view only. I have been playing swtor for the last 2 months, and STO just the last week. Also I have not played any of the Klingon faction. The space part of Swtor is very much just aim and shoot play the ship is coordinated where to fly and battle is pretty much shoot and play, STO is like driving a boat, with battles on the high seas, much more control where to fly, control over shields power, and ships speed. Of course off ship experience is short in the STO world as compared to Swtor. both games are fun, and different. I would hate both to be the same except for story |

General: A Master Beta Scorned
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 12/02/11 2:35:14 PM
I beta tested SW:TOR over the Thanksgiving weekend and I have beta-tested many a game in the free and subscription realms and I completely enjoyed the experience. To me, the game was pretty well finished. I noted some problems with the graphics (visual tearing/artifact with AMD cards that was noted in FAQ) a very infrequent crash that ended up being an issue with Microsoft Security Essentials blocking the program. Also, some difficulty balance issues, where some "easy quest" was super hard, and some hard quest was really easy. In fact, I really did not consider buying the game until I played it that weekend. In some way, I think it was a test weekend to increase the buzz. Increase the amount of pre-orders, which is already doing pretty well. I got my key through an mmorpg site I belong to or may be from origin itself due to buying digital copies of games /\ o.o /\ wjwatkins |

Allods Online: Our Official Review - Traveling in Astral Space
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 8/23/11 12:38:14 PM
Allods is a fun game, I do not see the pay to win like some players have mentioned. Although rune crafting, could give you an advantage over other players, and to use runes effectively you will most likely need to buy materials from cash shop. One other thing, I have not played at higher levels so I do not see the disadvantages other individuals do. I hope no one lets this game die because it is a beautiful game, with a lot to offer. |
