Wizard101, this game might come in as a surprise, but its very unique and super addicting; don't get thrown off by the kids aspect, but Wizard101 is super fun and definitely skill based!

So in this months producer's letter, we had a column on the future of RIFT! this is what it said.
"RIFT 2.3 also brings with it a massive new zone, the Dendrome – at last its secrets will be revealed! In case that’s not enough, there’s also a 10-man Sliver, Chronicle, new rift challenges called “Strongholds”, and open-world raid bosses. We’re excited to explore it all with you in the coming weeks. There’s even more in store for RIFT in 2.4 and beyond. A new set of twenty-player raids will be available, a revamped level-60 version of Realm of the Fae, more Chronicles, more quests, zone events, continued updates to class balance for both PvP and PvE, and much more. You might even start hearing about plans for what we call 3.0 – but that is a story for another day…." |

F2P saved TOR .... probably becoming standard

I currently play the game, and the servers are always heavy, i had to wait in a queue once to get inside the server. During the double xp weekends about 3-4 servers were on full, the imperial fleet has around 250 people when i'm online. I'm a preffered status player so i just buy all my unlocks in the GTN. I havn't paid a cent since launch; since the GTN has everything from the cartel market.( but i did pre-order the expansion) |

Originally posted by DamonVile Your interpret\ting wrong, i meant casual as in regular question-marks, raiding, kill 10 rats etc. |
|
Originally posted by mackdawg19 I meant that most developers are looking to make more sandbox games then themepark (If you follow dev feedback). Were not seeing raids as a focus in mmos, were not seeing the regular question-mark quests anymore, but Wildstar is doing that. This is what i meant by casual. |

You know how people say, save the best for last? Well this has crossed through out my mind today; and i think it makes sense. Wildstar is gaining popularity for its similar mmo-feel but improved. The future of mmo's have changed to sandbox- player generated content, and most mmos are going towards this type of gameplay. (Ex. Archeage, EQ Next, Star Citizen, etc.) Casual mmos are not being made anymore, but i think Carbine has saved the best for last! See this interview with the content director, Mike Donatelli. (with Pokket) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDfQEhnHFak The end game sounds promising, and bringing back 40-man raids that are Hardcore, is a big deal. Warplots sound like a lot of fun for pvp players, and solo instances at end game is good for.. well the solo players. Idk if Wildstar is gonna fail or not, but i do know its gonna last a long time. |

If you looking for SWTOR to be like SWG, its never gonna happen! but its a great game if you dont compare it.
