He is right to say it is not an mmorpg if he is comparing it to the EQ cookie cutter mmorpg (wich can be entertaining for a short time)! The endgame in those types of games get boring and played out as does the grind of getting to the end game......,therefore most mmorpgs that  are mass marketed are played out.   What guild wars does is give us an easy way to get the end game (the part that is the most fun) and based the combat on player skill not the fact that I called in sick 12 times in 2 months time to work and skipped meals to lvl a night elf rogue! So this game will appeal to the people who dont want to play EQ2 or the cookie cutter games like EQ2.

For the game they claim to be producing they have too small a production crew and are most likely way underfunded.
Oh btw, they've been setting the release back continuously since 2002, and the devs give virtually 0 feed back .000000000018 posts per day, whats up with that, like it takes more than two mins to say "look a picture, we makin progress."

but nvm what i say, just be sure and keep the faith going, that way, in 2009, when they promise release is just around the corner, you can all tell me how wrong i am , until they push it back to 2010 then i can laugh at you

There really is no point to posting in this forum if you think this game is vaporware! So instead of posting with a thumb up your bumb :::: pull it out and leave the darkfall forum.....no offense meant by my comments really:::: I just want a good thread without some social retard coming in and saying for the 1,oooth time "ah this is just vaporware" is that really that hard to do? now please lets all stop talking about vaporware you guys are really running down the forums with vaporware comments. there have been a couple of times were they didnt tell us anything for a while and then out of the blue they say "hey in another week or so expect the new site to be ready"so I will hold on to the faith for a while.

I am not really holding my breath i am also checking out other games and such , but when this is released it will dominate all other mmorpg"s on the market. That is when it comes to the gameplay. It might not be the best seller but that is because full PvP is not for everyone. It is for me tho so I dont have to hold my breath because I dont have a doubt in the devs.

There is a whole lot more to this game than you may think!

-open I repeat OPEN PvP!!!!!!!
-no levels.... skill based!
- skill based also means no restrictive classes......wich is very good
-there are many more but I will be typing for a very long time if i list then all

They have delayed the game......well it is to be expected in the release of a game as fine as this!
i just hope it is a small problem they are working on so the game will release rather quickly *crossing fingers*. There are so many people awaiting the release of the game me being one of them.

Hey man thanks alot for the good info! I really needed a pick me up for today and this is a good start.
Ive been waiting for darkfall and this one for quite some time now so hopefully this game will be one to occupy me for a few months. :)

they are kinda sketchy about having an open beta but it should be fairly soon if they decide to have one.

Im also a follower of the game .....but before christmas we were promised an update after the holidays.
it is now feb 11 05 there is no doubt that this game will be released ,but come on... how long does it take to use fraps and record 3, 5 minute videos load them on to the site then let us have a look see! This game will own all others when it is released it has conceptsof tommorow but at this rate they will be the concepts of yesterday when it is released, so by that time it will be the same ol same ol. I really do not want that to happen.
So I am stuck waiting for the promised update.

Well check out mourning its open beta starts in less than 2-3 weeks and releases in a month on feb,25 2005 might wanna check it out. Especially if you are waiting for darkfall cuz i am too but they see eye to eye with them......and the perma death thing isnt really perma death! You dont have to start over cuz your next character surpasses the first in the skills. just give it a look see :)

First of all I really did not like SB ....but that is my own opinion but you really gotta be outta your mind to even try to compare SB with what DF will be! No way will SB even be able to hold a candle to DF! :p

Yeah definately i have been following darkfall but the release isnt real soon and this looks like something awesome to tide me over for a long while! So ill play this instead :)

Yeah it is aldo a twitch combat system so you dont wait to swing he just does it! :)
