I don't mind paying for anything thing MMO related. I have spent over 8000$ on MMOs in the last 10 years. There are plenty of people like me that don't mind paying. If you are a broke teenager/kid and you want to play MMOs in this day and age, GET A JOB! |

Most 3D MMOS allow you to walk/run if you press both mouse buttons down at the same time. BTW I thought this post was about being able to play an mmorpg where you are a mouse and you get to nibble on cheese :D |

The OP is asking for advice and getting very good feedback, but he/she is telling everyone that they are wrong. LMAO

IF a mmorpg company listened to their community 99% would the game be better?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 2/22/13 2:33:43 PM
95% of big game developers make games for the profit. That is it. In theory if they listen to the community they will in turn make a good game which will generate money. You have to factor in greed, when you do then you will understand why they make games and do not or only paritally listen to their audience. I cannot break down the schematics of how this works, i'm sure most of you get it though. |

Ancients of Fasaria: Release Date Announced
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 2/11/13 11:17:39 AM
I remember back in 2009 I bought a Fasaria game. Wow what a mistake. The graphics are so outdated. And now this game looks exactly the same as the one I bought. Thank god they have their browser game, at least that is somewhat successful.

WOW!! You guys should give up MMOs. Its like drugs. You do it for years just to get the same high you got when you first started. And you never get the same high down the road. Unless technology changes, there will still be the same shitty MMOs being released. Its all about money. GO OUT AND GET LAID AND FORGET MMOs! |

Just so you know, almost every game, and for that matter everything you do ( except for sex ) you will get bored of after a while. I face that boredom problem after 1 hour of playing most MMOs. Even after buying top of the line games that get so much hype I get bored. I have quit the search to find games to play because I know even if it is made out to be the greatest game on earth, I will get bored of it. This has led me to grow out of games. I recently tried Path of Exile. I think is a great game but I haven't logged on in the last two days because I became bored of it. It is not the game, it is my fault. Its just something in my personality that cannot do that anymore. I don't berate people for playing games, but I don't know how people can play them. Maybe its just me. |

I know myself quite well and I know eventually I will stop playing this (I think). But what is it that keeps me going back everyday to play this. Usually I d/l an mmo, install it and play it for a bit, then forget about it. I wonder what it is that makes me play this everyday. I think it is the graphics and sound. I'm trying to pin-point it. I have played many games like this with the same controls. Same point and click, kill. So what is it? |

Minecraft makes fools of MMO companies

Why live artifically in a computer game when you can live in real life. The whole world is out there for you to create. There is so much land out there to build all these things you want in an artificial game. You can be affecting multitudes of real people in real life. Something in you says, "no you can't do it" find out what that thing is. You will discover that it is just an illusion. Why live artificially? |

I wish i didn't buy GW2, not because I think its bad. But because I am growing out of games and I keep buying them from time to time hoping it would be a new experience. Alas I try it out and get shafted all kinds. It is a good game, I wish they would give refunds though. To me its like i wasted 50$ for something I would never play again. Or paying 50$ only to play it for a few days. I could have taken that 50$ and go get a happy ending somewhere instead. Blah! |

MMORPGs; Am I getting old, OR Have they Betrayed me.

I agree, when virtual reality becomes mainstream, with the headset and later on without headsets, then we will see a vast amount of new features and technologies being used in games. That is the next big leap as far as games are concerned. Right now, as long as its on a PC or console, it is very limited to what those types of hardware can offer. As long as you are using a mouse and keyboard or game controller to input into a game you will see the same types of games, give or take some new features added, but mainly the same types. As long as you are looking at a screen ( as apposed to wearing a VR headset) you will see the same types of games. |

The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 1/10/13 2:38:49 PM
You have to realize that there is a limit to what MMOs can do. First of all its limited to being used on your PC. And ideas are slowly being found out and implemeted. There is a decline in the frequency of ideas that are being discovered to implement into MMOs and games in general. Until technology changes you will only see the same type of games being made and sold, simply because a computer ( or console ) can only do so much. Like everything in the material world, they have limits.

Why do most current MMOs suck? Why do we keep buying them?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 1/09/13 4:33:12 PM
I think you all should get laid. (If you all were getting some on a regular basis you wouldn't give two shits about MMOs)
