If you're low skill points and low on money, best advise is stabber/rupture or vexor/thorax. If you're high skill points and lot of money...you shouldn't be asking this, you should know already |

Nah you can plug a keyboard and a mouse to a modern console. The biggest problem I see here is selling a bug ridden, unfinished mmo to the console crowd. I don't think these people are prepared for downtimes, tons of bug fixes, patches, lack of information and non working features. Perhaps they are not going to moan to the forums but instead to the selling point asking for a refund (that is what we, the pc techies, should have been doing for ages) I don't know how they are going to solve that. Well, Funcom is doing it by releasing first the PC version, fixing it then when it's finished and finally tested, rushing it to the console world. And they think we don't know about it

I hope one day mmo's in general won't have levels. Great way of dividing communities and an absurd way of keeping players with an stupid goal. |

I'm playing the free veteran trial of EQ2 and well, the world is huge and I don't expect to find players in every corner, but being in Antonia Bayle server (the most populated) I, as a new player, find hard to say EQ2 is healthy. Server list is usually light on all servers except 4-5 at medium. So neither SWG or EQ2 are in good stance right now. For a new player, checking a 15-20 server list flagged light 80% of them is not a good indicator. Also, giving 2 free months with all expansions for free is not a good indicator, regarthless the aniversary and such things. |

Holy shit with those whinners!!!! one pilot mean nothing in eve, it's all about teams!! a little team of 1 week bees can easily kill a 40 milion sp, 3 years veteran in a big badass battleship!! you don't really understand the mechanics behind EvE, you do still think that the more sp is always the better in a combat: A 3 years veteran with 40 milions skillpoints don't have any skillpoint advantage over a 1 year pilot with 10 milion skillpoint when choosing, for example, an interceptor ship class. The first, though, can probably fly not only an interceptor, but a heavy interdictor, a battleship, a carrier, etc but in a single combat, you just pilot 1 ship!! It's all about specialization or not, and combat experience.

Vet trial ended, not resubbing just because low population problem and no free transfer/merges. The game is pretty nice right now, I confess :l |

Attention! Dark Age Of Camelot Has Announced A Brand New Server! The Revival Of DAOC Is Near!

Cool, good one for you old DAoC players :) I wish SOE does something like this for SWG but they need directives wich understand players, not just numbers. By reading the DAoC producer letter, I feel he is very authentic dude and understands all kind of players. You're lucky. 1+ for Mythic. |

Just read this: http://www.camelotherald.com/news/news_article.php?storyid=3582 Quotes: "My vision for the design of this new server is driven by my and my team’s own understanding of and experience with Dark Age, as well as yours, our Community of Team Leads, players and former players who wish to come back and experience not just the ‘nostalgia’ of this server, but a truly fun and compelling gameplay experience." "This server is designed to return DAoC to the great game experience it was in 2001/2002, while also applying wisdom from the lessons we have learned since then. DAoC is still a great game, but this server has its own appeal that we ‘old school’ players really enjoyed, and our goal is to get back to that while also continuing to support the other rulesets."
It seems to me this producer really understands all kinds of player base and feelings about different "ages" any long lived mmo faces, but instead of just changing every time, DAoC devs try to content those that don't like new versions with old school servers. C'mon, if Mythic can do it for a very low subscriber base as DAoC is, why SOE can't do one single server for "nostalgics"? c'mon, it is possible to support old players! I really like NGE content and new systems, but I feel the "urge" to play the profession and combat system from old incarnations. |

Which MMORPG has the most players?

I agree, that is what you experience when you go to a packed server or a barren one, that is the actual population of the game because it's the server where you play. Considering this, EvE Online has the absolute record for concurrent players in the same server. Something like 40-45k players at the same time. |

The email says the vet trial ended 31/5 but, well, I'm still there. BTW I also got a 60 days free timeplay for EQ2 with all expansions...and I've never bought it, just played a trial. |
