Was hoping it to be the new age Freelacer since it has the same controls but its far from it. Match making PVP with shitty game modes. There's no freedom at all. EVE's still the one for the moment. |

Game is good. The mistake he made was joining Goonswarm or TEST.

"Diablo clone" is only a compliment to any ARPG. I mean Diablo2 ofc. Its an awesome standard which wont be passed any time soon or EVER. I play Path of Exile myself and it indeed is good. Too bad it isnt a finished product but it truly is the Diablo 3 we really wanted. |

Looking for a new MMO (or online game) with a strong presence of PvP.

If you want some scifi spaceship action EVE Online is the way. Real loss is always present and that makes PVP even more wunderbarawesomefun.

IMHO In the end all the yearly awards are only guiding folks towards the best releases. Its up to everyone themselves to decide which is the best and suited for you. Just like movie critics.. Cant really argue about tastes. Better yet its silly. |

Words you wish MMO players would stop using

Asked a question in help channel (where's the jukebox <- removed btw) and even that gave me a couple of new bounties ^^ I dont mind. I do empire ganking for living + I'm in an alliance that's on the top10 wanted list.
I do have to remove my jf alt from it though since even the 20% payout from ship loss would cover ganking ships... For PVPrs it nothing but good news. More income \o/ |

Is it possible to play EVE as a rogue and not join any corps?

In EVE its hard to do anything alone really and by alone I mean with 1 character. You need an alt or two to make "solo" life in New Eden some what profitable + it saves you alot of time. Industry/Exploring/Missioning, every career could use some help. So yes, its possible to find solitude among the starts but it kinda brakes the idea of a MMO dont you think? It ultimately comes down to preferences but I enjoy meeting folks from other cultures. And as a non-native english speaker its fun and educational to communicate over voice comms :) You also save money by making friends rather than new accounts ^^ |

I fell in love with the new nebulaes the moment I saw them. Immersion is always nice

"Rookie help" ingame channel is a great place to solve problems. Learned most of the basics from there (although we didnt have the new tutorial/beginner program back in the day). Oh and for any starting player I always recommend to get to know the game first before joining any player corporations. It's just my preference since some people might pull you to do something dumb/boring and ruin the game for ya. DO NOT JOIN A MINING CORPORATION! That is all. |

Even after 2 years of playing EVE Online I still get mad adrenaline rushes when PVPing. So does many of my friends. Maybe its the fear of loss (you lose what you fly) noone knows but its a sensation no other game has given.
If you are a sci-fi lover EVE Online is definately worth checking out. |
