Does anyone play MMO's for any other reason than the chance to insult others?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 6/30/12 2:46:01 PM
I like to make good use of /Block I love the chat they have in DayZ, you can only view or hear people in your direct area, which is very small. I think that would work great in a MMORPG. General chat in games is just a safe haven for self proclaimed messiahs that gain followers as they let diaherria dribble out into the chat channels which spreads like a virus. Just like forums. Shit talking has always been for people with low self esteem to make them feel better about themselves since the beginning of time and will never go away. The internet just allows it to used alot more readily since people are hiding behind their devices. All species do it, if one member is screaming about something it will keep screaming until the alpha member goes over and smacks the hell out of it or until a group beats the piss out of it together. This can not happen over the internet, so this is what we get. |

Should The Repopulation introduce some kind of warning label?
General Discussion « The Repopulation 6/29/12 11:50:26 PM
Originally posted by tank017 I don't know, I just was reading more on the game and found out its F2P. That is putting a huge gamble on attracting a player base that would aid them in making the game fun. If they attract too many of the griefer types the game could go down in flames. Its all up to the players to what the game will be like in sandbox games. |

Should The Repopulation introduce some kind of warning label?

Might give this a try, see their take on a sandbox/hybrid shooter. Sounds like they are trying to make a SWG game. Never liked SWG or scifi games much but it looks like it deserves a try. Looks like they are leaving it up to the community to deside its own fate, lets hope they are up for the task. Griefers huddled around the safe zones will kill the game, any kind of tatical warfare would make it fun. In the end it will be the players who make or break the game like all sandbox style games. |

Your poll only has one right answer and it would be depends on the game.

I got killed by a hacker 1 time so far, heard a loud higher pitch long beeeeeeeeep then flew in the air pretty high and died when I hit the ground, I had just started the guy so it wasnt that bad of a loss. I think everyone died on the server. I threw a smoke bomb in a small 2 story warehouse building and the building collapsed on me lol. Pretty sure thats not a hack but it was a funny bug that I didn't know existed. |

I'll start off with the definition of the word from here http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/innovation Definition of INNOVATION
1 : the introduction of something new 2 : a new idea, method, or device How, as players, do we want a game to be innovative? Do we even know what we want? How do you find it? Is rehashing an old idea with your own twist considered innovative? Is there a set number of innovative idea's or feature's that need to be implemented to actually be considered an innovative game? Who in the end desides if an idea in a game is innovative? I see alot of threads in many of the game forums with this word in alot of posts but was wondering about these questions and is innovation just an opinion. To me its a mystery. I'm not sure what I want, or how a game could be innovative. All I do know is that I want the game to be fun and fun is not innovative its been around a long time. |

When can we expect official Forums?
General Discussion « Elder Scrolls Online 6/28/12 2:07:55 PM
Originally posted by Uhwop I enjoyed Skyrim yes, but I got bored playing it after awhile. I think your making assumptions that most people are unhappy. I tend to think that most people don't care one bit, they just want a fun game to play. If you think a majority of people that actually play games post on forums like this one, your diluted. |

Originally posted by ste2000 From your previous posts, it looks like you got GW2 and Tera. GW2 has BG's and read some where that Tera is going to implement them soon. |

Originally posted by MMOExposed I agree here, look how sandbox players act in a forum lol. They could make the most amazing sandbox game ever, and it would fail by the players destroying and griefing out the population. There is only two play style options in a sandbox game, be a thief/murderer or be prey. |

You can dance in your chair for all I care. Nobody will probably care because they will look to the next big game announced. The world will not stop for any game. |

Originally posted by Loke666 True, its an easier bet. I could really careless if it is a huge success or not, I just hope the game will be fun. |

Originally posted by Entinerint Im going to throw in the majority of those sales were probably from people not even knowing anything about ES, they just bought it because they saw dragons.(No polls here or numbers just common sense seeing as the previous games didnt sell that many as skyrim) This game is being marketed to PC MMO gamers, not to everyone from little 5 year old Jimmy to grandmom trying to stay hip on her Xbox like ES games. |

Originally posted by PyrateLV I think it would be better to have each a different race. Gets you more involved then "lets go kill the red team" edit: Also if both of the other factions were red then how would you form an alliance to take out one side if they are all red? |

Originally posted by Johnie-Marz World of warcraft wasnt a MMO, it was Warcraft and played differently. When it turned into one it got alot more popular. |
