I agree. Its all hype hype hype until it releases and then all fanbois defend their game. They spend so many years developing and the simplest things go wrong. See WAR.. world of scenarios online. No anti aliasing by default and horrible performance.

This game will be the wow killer.

So all you wow noobs.. ready to bash this game... go play your own game.

Its not even out yet!

A lot of people complaining about grinding these days, but nobody offering a valid suggustion as too how you will keep millions of players entertained for years when they can instantly achieve everything. I would like to hear it, because i dont know how much content you think devolopers can push out. I believe at the moment they arent doing nearly enough, but they sure as hell cant do the level of content required if they were to just make a bunch of deathmatch style rpg MMOs.

You are not getting it... The only solution to grinding is.. MORE grinding!!

How else we suppose to make money huh?

You may whine as much as you want but merging the servers isn't going to help much

if your side is high/full and the other side is low/medium ... don't even bother trying for an scenario ... i left desctruction just for that problem

now that i am in order in tier 2/3 i get a scenario pretty fast maximum wait time is 5 minutes. Sometimes its 5mins +  but that when most people are sleeping 5 in the morning or something

Fak scenario. I hear enough of that nonsense.

Xfire doesnt even work for warhammer europe so what does it matter?

I like scenarios. One of my #1 likes about the game.  Ever think maybe some fps gamers might play MMOGs.

Ive met alot in WAR that play TF2.

RvR is fun but no one ever wins its just endless capture and recapture. And its slow.  In scenarios someone wins and someone loses. And its quick n easy to get into and fun.

And every scenario ive been in no one cares about xp. In all the yelling and bitching ive never heard anyone bring up xp.  Hell ive seen some players pass on loot that they needed. Had to walk up to one guy and trade with him so he would see what our party got. Thanked me for the new armor and we killed some more order.

RvR has its moments but nothing beats a Scenario. I wish they would add more maps and I hope once I hit 40 they open up all the maps. But im sure itll just be a few at 40 :(

Scenarios are a part of WAR, while it might steal the thunder from what "you" like about the game. Its not killing the game as a whole. Let people enjoy what they want from a game.

Lets buy umbrellas but not prefer to open them when its raining. In the end its all about preference right?

Good for you, a lot of players are still hung up on the wow style solo killing spree.

When you actually learn what your class excels in in RvR it is quite fun.

Now if i could just get the other bright wizards to stop clustering toghether in a " hey come kill us" fashion...that would be great.

lol that was funny@hey come kill us

wow, I just spent some time over at the Warhammer alliance listening to all the tidbits of performance and stuff on the game, and man do they have problems, and once again most of the fixes are being made by the consumers themselves, coming up with their own hotfixes and tweaks.

One can say that an MMO can recover from a failed start in certain circumstances, but just like Failcom's AOC, the dev's at Warhammer are scrambling to fix all the CTD's and ever so popular HITCHING that occurs in MMO's when first launched.

All I can say is that jobs are on the line here.  Already you can see youtube videos of current consumers who are getting as little as 4 to 8 FPS with a high rig, ofcourse it could also be network problems, from companies throttling bandwidth from inexperienced home owners who don't know how to manage their networks, could be other things, but it seems like Mythic has its hands full at the moment, this month is really critical for them, to Re-Sub or Not to Re-Sub that is the question over at the Warhammer Alliance forums.  Personally I don't want to see any MMO fail, its just not good for the genre, who is already in shambles after so many epic fails....guess we'll just see the outcome of this fiasco.

Actually, most problems usually occur because people "tweak" their systems. That's asking for it.

I have no hitching, fps is high, and that on a Vista rig. I also think you're blowing things up, with the whole "jobs on the line" :).

And I bet you are lvl 10 and have never done a 40 man Warband Keep asault where the FPS is a slideshow. Either that or you are lying.

Or maybe you are lying?

In any case, I find it ironic that you made a topic called "Forcing AA and AF Works! Make WAR use MORE of your GPU" then complain about slideshow FPS.

Warhammer has had a far smoother launch than WoW had. WoW was full of bugs, end game wasn't finished, and most talent trees were useless or just plain broken.

Dude the game has performance issues end of story. Setting forced anti aliasing helps a little but the problem is still there. People put the game away until this problem will be fixed. Whats this thing about people stalking eachothers post anyway?? That is sad.. dont you feel disgusting when you do that?

Stop ruining the game. Its fine.

I think it sounds like a great idea but people will abuse it. I rather have a team speak or vent that is managed. Plus its just weird to hear voices coming from the game itself.

Only if they fix the Performance and  realm imbalance before my subscription ends.

Am I on crazy pills to consider running the absolute minimum settings (which I am already doing) and still getting horrible performance ... compared to LOTRO with all the settings maxed and everything runs perfect?  This game doesn't have graphics that come close to anything special.

I think they need to do some work on their game -- as I'm not the only one with issues as I'm reading other forums.

I've already spent hours tweaking and it does little if anything.  It runs pretty much the same on both rigs I got:

2.4GHz 2G RAM with 256M ATI 9600 PRO  (i don't expect it to run nice on here)

3.2GHz  2G RAM with 320M nVidea 8800 GTS

No, I hope they're working very hard on a big performance patch right now.. because otherwise the game will not be successful.

I have an AGP CARD!  (Sapphire 3850 type with 512megs of DDR3 ram), a P4 3.0 core, 2 gigs of PC3200 DDR ram.

I have very few issues with the game now.  I went in and forced the card to run flat out.  Forced 4x AA on, Min-mapping over clocked the card and ram...   I run the game with most things on high (I turn off Grass and scale back distance view to 1 notch) and well...   Go forth and tweak your card sir!

No he's right. The game is just suppose to run smooth on all machines that meet the requirements.

It needs a patch, no more tweaking. It's not crysis.

Good Bye, Don't let the door hit ya.

lol good one!

I think they should limit that chat to tiers.. cause It kind of opens a new world everytime you advance in tiers. If you can read their chat it wouldnt feel like that. <-- (This guy is right )

The game is like the screenshots.. end of story.

its how orcs say war with their tusks

WoW players stay the hell in your game.. Im absolutely not missing you. I'd be happy if you play more wow with the new expansion

100% behind this point.

No global order/ dest chat channel is absurd... This is how people from all levels meet and get to know each other even when they arnt grouped. This is where the vets help the newbs. This is where a sense of whole and shared purpose is fostered. This is where reps are made and destroyed. If people dontit want it they can turn it off. To just not have it is stupid and socially damaging.

Don't even get me started on no integrated VC etc...

It is like Mythic have made every effort to destroy the community and the soul of this game, like they don't want it to last past the 2 year mark, let alone almost 10 like EQ. Every decision they have made seems to be aimed at that goal. It's bewildering.

I am hoping that once the race for 40 is over and the game isnt all shiny and zerg anymore people will settle down, the fashion kids will jump onto the next hot thing, people will get to know each other and some form of community will grow.

Right now there just isnt one, and thats a terrible thing for a MMORPG.

People destroyed EQ2 when it came out for being a souless theme park, but tbh WAR is that x100 right now. EQ2 has grown a soul over the years and now has a great mature community, hopefully WAR will do the same.

Global chat channel plz.

Maybe chat will be in altdorf because we cant dont go to other tiers than the ones we are in.. so it would be strange to see messages ending up there.

In the beginning I thought the same.. but now people are grouping up for rvr and pqs are full. Im in a guild now and we do stuff together so its enjoyable for me. Now they must fix the imbalance.
