The starter area quests are based on the story behind the races so yes there will be some that you find boring but you are not tied to doing them unless your mom has a gun to your head, so just skip them and move on. Go to the mists and travel to the other starter zones and do the stuff there.

GW2 has developed quite a large fan base, and I dont just mean people who like the game, I mean the obsesive kind and they will kill you and your family if you say any more bad things about GW2.

Installed on 5 seperate computers with no issues and I did not read any instructions but then again I keep all my drivers and windows patched up to the latest updates.

Are you 100% sure you meet the min reqs?

Are you 100% sure your user account has admin rights and it is not limited by parental controls?

Make sure the exe is set to run as admin if you think that might be the issue.

Start again with just the setup file or just ignore the 13gig file in the directory and see what happens.

I would guess something is down and since they dont do much on weekends wait til monday.

Anet offered a perk to people who are entusiastic about the game.  That you took it the wrong way is on you.

Same here. I bought the game because I want it and its a bonus to be able to play it in beta. But if Anet decided not to do beta and just release it then I am sure we would all buy it anyways.

I would suggest that you are playing too much like you are still in WoW or EQ2, I had issues with necro but changed my strats and weapon sets and would go back and try again and again until I worked something out.

Just because you can solo elites in other games wont make you invincible here. No offense meant just some criticism.
