The servers are all now up and operational. The staff banned a lot of hackers all at once and was subsequently then hit with a DDoS.  Everything is good to go, now.

It's not actually going to be released as a browser game. There is an all-volunteer staff now that Reakktor has gone under, and through expressed permission of the CEO/Owner of Neocron/Reakktor, they are reincarnating the game. Right now I'm sitting on a server stress test. Account creation is free. The new volunteers did a sweeping ban of all of the cheaters after a patch was put into place. Neocron is now free to play, and they are rolling out patches and developement.

The game was down via the godaddy ddos attack that happened. Just so happened people that tried to hack neocron got butthurt they were banned and added neocron.com to the list =P

As far as Reakktor goes it's in its insolvency - it is no more, basically. The owner has very close contact with the Neocron community, and he funds the server out of pocket and has said he has no problem doing it.

Now, we have a developer team that is passionate and I believe they are volunteer - members who have been with the community and game for 5-10 years or so. It isn't costing too much to run, and it will continue being free for a time, how long we'll never know. Guarenteed to be a while, guarenteed to possibly run a cash shop. The owner is backing this all 100%.

Feel free to visit the forum to view recent patching, and to view what they are working on.

The game won't be going anywhere.

Why is someone that knows nothing about MOBA games reviewing a MOBA game?

Seriously, one of the cons being too many heroes...one of the worst reviews I've ever seen. I mean for christ sake League of Legends got reviewed and in the "cons" section they are game-crippling cons and it gets an 8.2?

This game has been systematically dumbed down patch after patch for a good while now. I'll never go back after the ez-mode patch that pretty much destroyed world pvp.

They've been talking about this for so many years :/

As the title says. It's EASILY one of the healthier populations. I'm looking to start a group around the newbie levels then continue up or get a guild. PM me, I can get us starting gear and everything.
