How am I rude and immature? Because I said god damnit and bitched? Both of which are censored by FE's forums, yet most NPCs in the game cuss like sailors and both of those words are said on network TV.

They lose me with the Japanese combat. Flashy puke fest of colors.

Pretty world, ugly combat.

Its been extraordinarily negative.

Its made countless clones of its boring and unimaginative gameplay.

Its destroyed games like Star Wars Galaxies, which was unquestionably a more entertaining MMO in its hay-day.

WoW has been a disaster to the genre.

So many uninformed people making up opinions without having any actual knowledge of what Age of Conan is like.

Thats the problem.

This is what people are being told, by individuals that have no idea what they're talking about.

Yeah, Age of Conan had a bad launch. But, Age of Conan is a great game.

Buuuut, word of mouth is a powerful hell beast and in this case the Uninformed Fools are winning and probably ultimately will continue to win. Humans are a negative creature, they love being negative about things and in the circles of MMO nerds AoC is one of the prime targets of "Lets all be Negative about it!".

Proportions discussions:

In Star Wars Galaxies, the interior representation of the "Han Solo"-class ship, was terrible. It was like the interior was designed by Hasbro toys.

These game companies always screw up our beloved genres.

Beyond that... about these "Bridges"

I get the sense that these Bridges can be equated to the likes of City of Heroes "Supergroup Bases"

Go inside one, look around for two minutes. Get bored, never go back.

I quit the game because of the lag in towns. It was unplayable.

And yes, its the game's fault.

My PC runs any game at top graphics. Conan and otherwise.

I hope the fix the lag in Fallen Earth some day.

Cute game. But only if it were hockey. I might actually try to progress through it.

And yeah, don't post a screenshot of a singleplayer game compared to an MMO, they're not the same breed! Incapable of the same graphics, especially from a company of Icarus' scale to a company of Bethesda's scale!

Post a screenshot of World of Warcraft's turdfest graphics compared to Fallen Earth's, at least.

So when will Funcom come out and say flat out...."The 1999 Dreamworld engine just simply makes it IMPOSSIBLE to have reliable sieges on a regular basis."  Make no mistake...if it's not possible to fix sieges (ever)...Funcom MUST know this reality as we speak, even if they claim they don't.

 You don't think the developers don't know if sieges are fixable to the point of reasonable reliability? If it was possible--it would have happened by now. It might be a complex matter---but they aren't building a time travel machine or inventing the next Internet, and that game engine is 10 years old...How complex can it be--What ...you need the world most Elite Computer Scientists to work on Anarchy Online's old engine? If it was possible to fix...why is Craig avoiding addressing the topic? With an issue this important to AoC they should be addressing it with a Community Update EVERY WEEK. but they aren't.........in fact.....they avoid they topic. You know why........? Think "can't"

You love the game, but you cancel your sub because of lag. OK. I've learned two things from you. One, you didn't do your research, if you did, you would have known of a partial amount of individuals who experience lag, even though they're on a PC that can handle the most resource heavy of games. 2nd, your post is very vague. Did you try to adjust settings? Update your drivers? maybe it's your connection? You do know the game was just released, correct?

I like Age of Conan too.  Do I care what was "on the box" when the game launched? No, not even remotely. Why... you undoubhtedly pontificate? Because the game is fun... to me. Fun is the key here, ladies and gentlemen. Do, we, have, fun, with the product. Do we enjoy it.

I don't care what "Funcom" did in the month the game launched, it doesn't matter, its in the past. Right now though, AoC is fun. Its what I expected it would be, thats all that matters to me.

Character movement in MMOs is trash. Complete rubbish.

Its trash because trash is cheap and easy.  Multiple races, multiple genders, multple heights/sizes of characters.... its too much work for the developers to care to try to "Next Gen' the movement.

So you get a pile of warm garbage for your character's animation.

Aaaand it really sucks.

The closest i've seen to what you're asking for is either Age of Conan or D&D Online. Both have climbing and rather good underwater experiences, DDO especially does a lot with swimming and jumping gaps where your character will grab a ledge so as to not fall to their death.  But unfortunately, DDO has bad character graphics.

Age of Conan is a fantastic game.  I just don't have any friends on it, so there's little I can do.

Might as well compare Fallen Earth to Batman: Arkham Asylum.
