[Interview] Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn: Catching Up with FFXIV at E3 2013
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 6/19/13 2:26:12 AM
in regards to the summons:
you have to understand that primals like ifrit and garuda are already in the game as a challenging fight to earn primal weapons. Having them be something that a summoner job can just bust out at any time does not fit in the game, currently. They do have plans later on, as someone else stated, to make these primals free roaming and can be captured. Considering how many legacy players will be leveling the class/job, i am quite happy i wont be seeing 328141 ifrits on my screen. |

the dev team plans to roll out new content every 2-3 months and yoshida said they already have enough content planned to last them through 3 patches as well as stuff currently being developed for the future. good interview here: http://www.novacrystallis.com/2013/06/e3-2013-final-fantasy-xiv-developer-interview/ |

[Award] General: MMORPG.com's E3 2013 Awards
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 6/17/13 8:36:57 PM
some of these games look decent....and your coverage is all well and good...
however, FFXIV: ARR is about to launch in august and is already in beta 3 yet you still have no coverage whatsoever about it. They were at E3...did you even bother to stop by and take a look? It's easily shaping up to be one of the best games of 2013 as well as a great success story but for whatever reason, mmorpg.com still holds some kind of aversion for FFXIV and square-enix. EDIT: i understand none of the awards really fit with ffxiv. with that said, this site has hardly given any kind of coverage at all other than when the initial gameplay video was shown half a year ago. |

an interesting tid-bit that i am sure a lot of new players are going to overlook....
at level 10, you can unlock other classes to level...then utilizing the armory system, you can combine several skills to make life easier. I.E. if you level a gladiator to 15 and find difficulty doing something, then unlock conjurer. Level conjurer enough to get Cure and maybe Protect. Then you can equip those skills on your gladiator and viola...you have a pseudo-paladin. Wanna take it further? unlock Pugilist and level high enough to get second wind...then you can have a cast heal and an instant heal as well as protect, lol.
This is not an attack on you OP, just an observation that people will cry about things and "difficulty" without thinking outside the box or utilizing mechanics built into a game...lol |

you're an idiot. just stop playing cause this game is clearly not for you.

[Interview] Star Wars: The Old Republic: Cathar, Update 2.1 & Free To Play
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 5/13/13 8:45:23 PM
600 coins to unlock cathar even as a subscriber. Yeah right, i'll pass. I'm sure it will cost even more if you planned to race change.
The alien VO thing is a joke too...I mean, if I have to suffer that disgusting twi'lek language in cutscenes and on nar shadda, I'm sure I can stand to hear it while leveling a Bothan smuggler, Wookie Bowcaster (i wish) or a Kaleesh assassin. |

who gives a shit if its consider launch or just open beta. why would anyone expect anything more in regards to performance from either? the same complaints are cried out each and every time a game goes into beta or launch.

There are no raids... can you live with that?
General Discussion « Elder Scrolls Online 3/22/13 1:03:48 PM
i keep seeing "best gear will come from crafting" and things of the sort.... has anyone even bothered to consider the possibility that the high end 4 man dungeons will provide top end crafting materials to make the best gear? seems like that would be enough to keep the raiders and gear mongers happy. truth be told, i raided the old 40 man raids in wow many years ago and was quite pleased with 10 man raids. These days, i can't bring myself to stomach any type of large scale raid. too much drama and they generally become chaotic until it's second nature to just enter and clear over and over again which in turn becomes a chore.
to each their own i guess but I will probably give this game a shot. Oh and the guy who said "would you pay $15 a month to play skyrim?"....you're just dumb. that's not even a viable comparison what so ever. |

Lastly, you need to learn basic english contratcions, lol. |

As for JCBN, you really should do some research because you clearly have no idea what you're talking about. All the money you spent on 1.0? you mean for the box cost? no worries because 2.0 is free to people who have bought the original game. You should also check out the letter from the producer videos, game play videos and various interviews done. So far, they are delivering on what they are promising. and if it matters, I alpha and beta tested 1.0 as well...I am well aware of what they said back then and how it is differing from now. |

i think if the game works out like it is expected, then naoki yoshida deserves to be hailed as one of the great mmo producers. he has already done so much with so little and to completely oversee the remaking of a game with potential for exponential success is no easy feat.

News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 10/19/12 1:26:18 AM
what a terrible opinion piece. your whole article just sounds like you are holding a grudge against the game which has made excellent strides. You used no worthwile information about the current state or the upcoming ARR and apparently have not done any research since you got the name wrong twice which was pretty laughable. If you're going to write an article about a video game, you should probably actually play it and do some research instead of "poking your head in" whiich, in a game like this, requires more. It is articles like this that people see and ultimately get turned off by. Just like that ime this site slapped that big FFXIV negative review up the day before a really big update was released, haha. |
