Guild Wars 2 could really use some 2 handed axes. |

SW:TOR has the worst looking end game armor I've ever seen.

ArenaNet: Guild Wars 2 Year End Development Update

Hey, there! It’s time for another update on some of the new things we’ve been working on. Jon and I have a lot to talk about this time, so I’ll get started with our achievement system before I hand things over to Mr. Peters, who’ll talk about some more subtle combat refinements as well as recent changes to the thief.

Why is the character creator so terrible?

Originally posted by MisterSr That's a crappy excuse. GW2 has cutscenes and they have sliders in their CC along with a greater variety of facial structures to animate. (e.g. Charr and Asura compared to humans) |

Question #34: "Will PvP players still need to "reroll" to a different profession, or will that process be easier in gw2?"
Question: #51: "Without any sort of dedicated healer role what options will players in mob fights or PvP situations have to deal with intense focus fire? Escape tactics on cooldowns?I am fantastically excited about GW2, have loved the original since release. Thank you for posting this." Answer: "Heal and Dodge. As well as use crowd control to stop it from happening. Block, blind, reflect, etc..."
Answer: "Hey Skyy, enjoy your posts on guru.
Answer: "Dynamic Events. We have been pondering this concept for a long time. The idea that you don't have to fight for content in an MMO. I think it is what defines the game! That social aspect is really important to us because ultimately that is what an MMO is!" |

http://www.guildwars2guru.com/forum/reddit-ama-all-questions-answers-t24653.html?t=24653 Question #1: "Any information for closed beta release? And.. When will mesmer come to guildwars2.com in proffesions"
Answer: "There is another blog post coming with some information about changes to Thief (even newer than stuff in the G Star build) coming next Tuesday. Also...Heartseeker"
Answer: " * It depends on the profession. We just got out of the 10th or so meeting on Elementalist skills yesterday. Guardian had A LOT of iteration, whereas mesmer and thief actually have had a lot less.
Question #29: "Fans had predicted that the final class would be the Minstrel, what influenced your decision in opting to go with Mesmer instead?" Originally Posted by Stéphane Lo Presti

Question#??: "The "Thief" severely lacks 1 of the 3 pillars of combat (Support skills) from what we've seen so far, while other professions seem to be be very proficient with each pillar. Is this going to change, and if not, what was the reasoning on making the Thief more 2 dimensional? "
Answer: "Tell that to Izzy's support thief so he stops playing it!!!" |

Originally posted by onthestick It shouldn't be repetitious at all to get a full set of armor from a dungeon. On top of there being 4 distinct versions of the dungeon, ArenaNet also put Dynamic Events in them so that the version that you are running is never exactly the same. |

Originally posted by thegreatheed Getting through the dungeon is working for it. Leaving everything up to RNG and hoping that what you want drops and then hoping that you roll higher than everyone else and get it is not. That's just stupid and makes people grind dungeons for a single piece of gear. Leaving things up to RNG and chance is NOT working for anything. You take an entirely short sighted and one sided view of the subject. |

Originally posted by wormywyrm Pretty sure its the parents doing it for them, after all, it's only 15 cents a day or what-have-you. Not like it's that expensive. |

Originally posted by wormywyrm A sub wouldn't get you "extra content". GW2 is going to get free updates anyway and F2P games like Lotro and DDO seem to be getting a rather large amount of updates. As proven by WoW and just about every other sub-based game, younger gamers wouldn't be deterred by a subscription. A subscription has no correlation with the cash shop. If ArenaNet were going to make the cash shop in GW2 pay-to-win they would do so wether or not there was a sub. What goes into the cash shop is determined by what they players purchase, if people buy costumes then there will be more of those. If they buy things like bank or character slots then there will be more of those. If they buy things like gear or enhancements then there will be more of those. |

Originally posted by wormywyrm A subscription would do none of those things. |
