I noticed, a shame, the game looked interesting

Emil Chonicals Online died last year in September so it should not be on the Gaming list anymore (imo) the game seems to not be coming back and even though the site to tha game is there the game is not, also Fantasy Earth Zero is dying March 3 (I believe) so it would be wise to prepare to take that game off the gaming list as well.

I spent a whole day trying to figure out how to download ECO and then I finally figured out it was dead after downloading half the client so plz take dead MMOs off he gaming list or mark them as dead.

Edit: My bad, I failed to realise that even though ECO deleted it's NA server it still seems to have servers elsewhere in the world. In that case please place a system that tells where the MMOs are availible so that people do not get confused as I did about these games.

I doubt this would catch on. If you were making something like a "community center" server, but the game itself would have to be diluted to be family friendly and such. No ludity or anything children could see thatwould be too sexual (whch is common in most MMOs. IMO this is way too much work, but its worth investing into as a way for after-school activities and such. In that sense this idea looks viable, but in the sense of only for a few people or a family, this independant server idea wouldn't work.

In answer to your first question...no.  FEZ was a broken game and its mechanics frustrated the majority so much they stopped playing.

The game ran client side and unless you lived in a country wired with fibre optic broadband, the game lagged horribly.  This lag was heavily exploited and since the combat was based on skill and reaction speed, most of the time you shot data ghosts whilst being knifed in the back by someone torrenting pr0n. 

Also, despite protests the combat was turn based insofar as if someone hit a target a split second before you, your attack didnt count and passed right through.  In short, you couldnt juggle an opponent.  Since attacks cost POW this sucked.

This excludes the fact that wars could be rigged with alts and that other than figting in said battles there was feck all else to do.  You got next to no exp off MOBs, there were no dungeons, the quests were lame and not worth the effort and towards the end the battles consited of 2v2 or 10v1 if it was gimped.

FEZ was a nice idea poorly thought out design wise and poorly implemented/supported.  If it was to come back it would need to be rebuilt from the ground up.

Honestly I think it was great the way it was. I mostly put the blame on Gamepot, who could've marketed the game much better then they did. 

The lag was something you worked with, yes it would've been nice to have 50-0 ping in-game but, everyone dealt with it fine and enjoyed the game. If anything, the lag was something that became a part of the game that made it a little more difficult and fun, it was only people who abused the lag that caused a major problem for the playing population. (If you ever heard stories about a person playing under the game name "Savanna" She was just one of a few examples of lag abusers).

the playing population increases a little when Fencer class came out, it increased a little more when Greatsword skills for warriors came out. 

The games main purpose was PvP I don't see any need to changing that. It forced you to either band together, or die and that also is how this game allow those of us who played to make great friends and enemies.

FEZ+Gamepot= Doom imo. FEZ could've been up there with some major FTP MMOs if it had been marketed better, had better tech support, fixed a few of it's lag problems, and had a few tweaks here and there that a MMO NEEDS to have. 

All in all it was a great game and I feel really sad that it's ending, hopfully though another gaming portal will take the game but I will continually Q_Q because I might get the game back, but I will never get all the hard work I put into it >_>.

Will FEZ come back with another provider?

Will those of us who played the game be able to still have the work we put into the game saved if it came back with a new provider?

Love it when everyone seems to forget this game is set to launch on the PS3 with an audience that is entirely unaware of its PC launch. If they can improve the game by then they genuinely have a second shot at it.

 

 I agree, this game has, imo, ONE more chance to redeem itself and eanr money to survive, but if they blow it with the PS3 players, they will burn in hell (figuratively).

Unfortunetaly the PC players were treated like test subjects huh? -__-

 I gotta say, I LOVED THIS GAME Q_Q, but this^ signatures will not do us anything to save FEZ, I heard from a certain person it would take 500 grand to give this game another 2 months to live... so unfortunately it's buh-bye FEZ... I hope another provider (a much better one then Gamepot) will take this game up... but the problem with that is... for us players who have put so much time in the game.... well, just put 2 and 2 together >_>

For people who have played FFXI, FFXIV is not only more of the same but a prettier version of that same in a new environment with some new mechanics but basically the same thing. I dunno, from what I've heard the two games are pretty much exactly alike except for a design difference that makes the game more beautiful but at the same time they're completely different games with completely different story lines right?. Hmm S-E has a habit of making some so-so to bad games, until they come out with a game that eventually saves their company (i.e The First Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy VII, and Final Fantasy XIII) so maybe this is just part of the ongoing circle? =_=

Ouch, November!?!?! Thanks guys I honestly was hoping when they delayed the March lauch it wouldn't be that long, looks like I'll be playing another MMO for a while until the PS3 FFXIV comes out :/... Maybe even buy the game for PC if I become restless, but that won't be for a long time -__-

I'm planning on buying this game for PS3 when it comes out and I've been wondering if Square Enix has made the game to the expectations it had before its release
