But do you see, exactly what I said is true, there is NO gameplay in EU, which is why you harped on about the graphics and when I asked you about the game, you..attacked me? Seeing as you say what lium said was an attack so must be yours, sir. So care to talk about the game? What is fun in it, why do the graphics matter, if there is no game.

Talking to you about EU would be the same as explaining to a muslim about atheism. All I wanted to do was to give some updates on the game since the screens on this since is from 2 years back or more. And they just implemented CE 2. But keep trolling if it helps you sleep at night. And yes it is hate, 100 %.

Enable V-sync and there is no problem, and for your info who puts on login screen and then leaves computer? Which is what this issue is about. So stop trolling my thread and go write bs in your blogg insted.

2 days ago Entropia Universe change name to Planet Calypso due to the fact they are making new planets so they are setting ground for that with the name. And on the same time the implemented the Cryo Engine 2 into the game. And I have to say its breathtaking how beautiful it looks now.

Allthough its pretty grafic hungry it still looks really good on medium settings. And since the game is free to download and no monthly fee its a good game to see if you computer can cope with the grafix. Since its a realcash economy almost everything cost real money in it, but you cant make money unless you spend money. Ofc there are some activites that can make you some cents but it takes hard work and alot of time. 

Some issues are being fixed, and some bugs ofc. Cant have a game without bugs when changing to CE 2 :)

If you think your computer can handle the CE 2 and the grafix give it a go, I personally am back to playing I had a break for a year or two and It looks awesome!

Also check entropiaforums.com for some updates and help if your having any issues, most of the help is there.

That's funny.  Seems to me that anyone who plays MMOs are considered mindless drones by the public at large, among other colorful labels as well.  A big part of that is because people see that the majority of gamers spend way too much time in game than is considered healthy.  I bet, if these MMOs had a lot less grinding, people would be less likely to sit in front of the computer for 6 hours straight.  Not only would this be healthier for the player, but would do tons to improve their real life image.

If you wanna build mental discipline you should play Lineage 2.

If you think it sounds fishy, don't buy it until after it releases. But calling it a scam sounds a little pessimistic yet.

As for the price, computer games have become more expensive the last year or so.

I will not pay a dime until the game is released myself, not because I think it is a scam, but because I need to know a lot more before I decide that it is worth my time or not. And I prefer to buy a game after the worst buggs are ironed out.

 

I'm in the same boat. I don't think MO is a scam but I am still waiting till the game releases before I buy or anything. Instead of hearing how things are planned to be, could be or intended to be, I would rather know how they are this time.

After the whole DFO scam (Changing there minds about 1 char per server, making it so NA players had to buy the game twice when they were told they would be able to have a char on each server originally) I plan on waiting lol.

 

To ease your mind a little.

That is one of the major questions that was asked on MO boards (about the scam charge to transfer servers)

First off the MO devs laughed. Then stated you will NEVER have to buy a 2nd copy of the game, if they release a NA server you will be able to play on it with the copy of the game you already pre-ordered.

They did not say you will be able to transfer characters, but they did say you can go to any server with the same account, and you wouldnt be charged for it.

 

the digital download of MO is a tad cheaper than the digital download of DF. Not enough to matter, but it is cheaper. So when comparing price, thats the only fair price to compair. you cannot honestly compare a box sale to a DD sale.

 

as far as the statement that they have to many people in beta atm, that is true.  Both Block A+B let in extra people so they are working with 1k extra testers. But instead of locking them out, they are letting them test as well.

 

Before purchasing the game you are told what to expect.  That players are testing server stability in this early beta phase.  To do that they have turned off alot of features so that any problem that happens in this early beta stage is only the servers fault, not something else.  So of course leaked videos are going to show a lack of tons of parts of the game.

 

Combat is currently under NDA, we shoudlnt be talking about it, nor what we think of the videos that show any.

To sidestep that topic a tad, but in the same light of it. half the preorders were from the americas. The devs said if their was a strong showing of preorders from the americas that their was a good chance of having a NA server at launch. This will obviously increase ping for those players in the americas.

They have officially stated they are working on  their hit prediction system and it is not perfect yet.

 

 

 

I was a fence sitter between darkfall and Mortal.  I looked at what both games were claiming to offer, they seemed close enough to par to make it a very hard choice.  So then i went diving into forums. 

What i found was AV couldnt be trusted to keep their word. They would ninja edit posts instead of coming out and stating why things were not going to be how they said. They were underhanded in how they were dealing with their fanbase. 

What I found with SV was rather candid posts from the devs, backed by people who knew more about the game (at that time) than i did. The devs posted the state of things on a semi regular basis, and i have not one account to report where they changed what they said after the fact. Instead if something didn't work they would try to get it right, and if they honestly couldnt change the outcome, they would post it.

 

I respect honesty, its the only thing that kept me from ordering darkfall, despite it sounding like a game i would really like to play. Honesty is what got me to preorder MO.  The beta is what the devs are saying the beta is, so while frustrating at times. Anyone who does even the slightest amount of looking can see the massive improvements its been getting.

i will be much happier when they have the login server issue fixed. (you can read dev posts and twitters saying the login server is causing most the server crashes... which is publicly available not an NDA covered issue.) So that i can test on a more NA friendly timeframe.

 

all of that being said:  javac, i realize you are sad to see DF get trolled so hard, but you lie worse than Lord Taco about the game. i like what i see in youtube about the game, i like most of what i read. (aoe magic being painfully overpowered is super lame but fixable. Bloodwalling being acceptable is pathetic.)  I would defend your posts if what you said about it, matched to what we see in youtube, read on the forums, and get reports back from actual players.... but it doesnt, you post bs to try and re-hype the game for something it isnt.  Which if your crap spewing ever gets anyone to sub to the game, they will expect more than DF can deliver, and quit.

I believed you were genuine right up to the point where you start talking about believing what you read on forums "from actual players". If there is one thing that me and all my friends in game agree on about Darkfall is that the actual game is nothing like what you read on the forums.

Personally I doubt Mortal is a scam, but I do think there is a reasonable chance given its current state that it might not even make it to release, or if it does, that it is very likely going to disappoint a lot of people due to lots of remaining bugs and missing features.

 

You got good points that I support, but I dont believe reviews OR players. That is why I play the games to form my own opinion. A Scam? No I think not. I preordered few days ago and I am will sure find out.

Funny all I see are people that made 1-10 posts in a lifetime saying that Aion will fail, and talking about the future of a game that is still in Beta is kinda ignorant. So just go and read a book insted of making accounts to flame and troll Aion. No one care what you think since you dont have any expertise to back it up. And they should have a grownup forum for people NOT whining about that they bought a game, and then keeps whining to the end of time because they spent 50-70 dollars. And also crying all the way from the store and back home.

Wait and see and keep playing Tetris or some other free game online so you dont have to whine here. And this is not just to the OP but to the rest of the whining people on this forum. Which I am getting really tierd of.

It all depends what you wanna play, if you like the mage class then choose it. Mages are good in Aion, and a really good dps.

If you want a multiclass that can dps and heal, do chanter. And a Tank choose Templar. And you can choose by what manastones you use how you want your char to be.

Maybe if you played to 20 I would be more ears but this looks alot like your only flaming the game since your obviously a fanboi of some other game that is lacking players. And I dont really think your ABC computer can handly the grafix, the game is beautiful on my computer.

And BTW it takes like 3 hours to get to level 10 so good luck with trying to prove something to the other players reading your thread.
