I did find out an interesting thing about some SW bashing today.  My brother has a crappy computer.  He plays WoW and only WoW (We've both played together for years). He talks trash non-stop about any game that isn't Warcraft (i.e: any game his computer can't handle).  So finally today, I told him I'm definitely buying SW and making the move.  As usual, he goes into his routine as to why Warcraft is a superior game.  I said "Do you want me to buy you a computer so you can play SW and you pay me back in small payments?"

 

His reply: "Yes"

 

I'm banking that he's not the only one out there like that.

Ofc people are not gonna like it when their computer is not uptodate. Yet they are too pround and stupid to admit facts about themselves. Twice the pride, double the fall :)

Well I would prefer to.get the best out of .1000$ to start then have the option to add better hardware over time. And yeah I heard about that ffxiv 2.0 patch. Can't wait

get an i5 intel, 8gb ram and the gfx card what your budget can affort. Atleast make sure the gfx card can handle dx 11.

Good ram,cpu and gpu also alot of extra stuff like full hd, 120hz screen with 3D and hd webcam.

Seem like a good buy I you really need a good laptop for gaming, myself I prefer stationary pc.

GAH, do you think I am dense? If there WAS a better internet here, I would have chosen it LONG AGO! But there isn't! Germany has a monopoly company which owns all cables. And they, having a monopoly, see of course no reason to give people better connections.

so the fastest internet in the entire Germany has a 120 kb/s download rate? .... mmmmh as a mmo gamer its time to move out of germany my friend....

I had no problem with my download, it was 6-8 mb/sec whole download. Then again I live in Sweden so maybe our infrastructure of lines are better attuned.

How can you messure something that changes? If the speeds vary you cant really do that. And besides the swtor.com site is having major issues atm since its hammered by everyone that is downloading. So even if you get the security questions into the account you will probably download at really slow speeds due to the extensive traffic. And since everyone in the US stopped working around these hours the speeds will not be so top notch :)

So I suggest you wait til tomorrow, and have a good night sleep.

I will play swtor if the game mechanics and feel is the same as WoW. Better than having a 24/7 lag fest when there is more than 20 ppl in your screen.

Yeah probably not worth your time, play skyrim.

The best way for people would then be to gather up 4 of their friends and just jump anything that passes. And eventually they will stop playing the game. Seen this before in alot of other free pvp.

But when it comes to dungeons people would not be as overseeing as they are now. They will not take crap when it comes to their money, and also they should have a personal ban system. Meaning the ones that you dont like cant be in your group due to earlier misshaps and moronic behaviour.

People without the certain skill would stop opening chests. '

And people would listen to healers more when they say mana break or brb toilet.

So maybe its a good idea, it will take time to get used to though. But if they make it the right way It might be a evolution in gaming.
