[Preview] World of Warcraft: The Solo Scenario System
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 3/31/13 10:36:19 AM
Is this basically the rip off lotro skirmishes type system..where it can be made into groups and raids for different difficulty? although i didnt mind the group versions in lotro for an mmo to put insolo content takes away the fact its supposed to be an mmo. Nothing innovative then? |

Originally posted by RollieJoe Well i started playing yesterday evening like most and was extremely suprised at how good it was..so i made a promise to myself and logged out..played for an hour this morning and i,m done..i know enough about the game to know i'll be there at release..i finished playing just has i reached lvl 7. The reason i refuse to play any further is that i tend to burnout easily on games and i dont want to on this one..i love the setting, combat is fine and lastly the gfx are pretty good.all in all a good experience. |

Never Winter Closed Beta Weekend Video Compilation Updated Often
General Discussion « Neverwinter 3/23/13 3:38:04 AM
have to say i did this dungeon last night and had real fun doing it..not very hard but it gave me the old feel of DDO..will play a little today but just a little..no more to much beta for me.

i have seen enough of this game to know i am going to enjoy playing it..it may not be everyones cup of tea but it is mine..still a few things for them to iron out but otherwise really enjoying it..someone said it was an updated version of ddo..if it is then that is a good thing..got a bit of lag but thats expected in beta given the mountains of peeps playing..one thing i did notice was that all the usual trolls were there slagging the game off.why oh why people feel the need to rubbish a game they dont like is beyond me.it would be easier for them to log off..but for some reason they love to see thier name on the chat..sad people indeed. i dont mind if its constructive but these people who say the game is shit having played 5 mins have no fuckin idea.the OP's post is well delivered and i understand his points..but it is beta. will i invest a shitload of money on this game..well time will tell..but one thing is for sure i will be there at launch. |

sorry to move away from thread..but is'nt beta supposd to be underway?..7pm gmt..tried to log in and got nothing..just came up error even though i used a key from this site.

Originally posted by jonaku may iask why you posted this? i mean whats the point?..has soon as eqnext comes out most will probably move to that game.having played vanguard on and off since release i would say its turned out to be a fantastic game..albeit the combat is a bit dated.yes it has bugs..but nothing gamebreaking atm. one thing about this game that stood out for me was the community.one of the best in any mmo.but its obvious you have some kind of beef with the game..perhaps you could elaborate on what that is after making a post like this. tbh i,m suprised myself he game lasted this long but its now been going for 6 yrs..i guess that makes it a success in most gamers eyes..even though it aint made millions SOE are still making money off it. |

ok being an rpg fan i thought i would purchase this game.so i loaded the game up and off i went has a paladin.now i will say this game does not have the best gfx..but it makes up for it in story thats for sure.been playing 2 hrs and only reached lvl 3 because there is so much to take in.any person you speak to you get a wall of text.also picked up my first sidekick. Now i have a question for players of this game.any advice you can give me for progressing in this game would be much appreciated.died once already..its a tough game by the looks of it.seems very unforgiving if you screw up..can anyone advise me on where to put points etc.or any general advice about this game..oh by the way on gog.com they are having a special if you buy 5 games you get 80% off the full price..inquisitor works out at about $3 with divinity 2 going for $4 i think..but you have to buy 5 games to get the discount. |

Originally posted by colddog04 you only have to look at cdred to see that using a drm was a waste of time.the game witcher 2 sold i think nearly 2 million copies without a drm and they knew that people would pirate the game..but honest gamers dont mind paying for their stuff legit.i will be honest..about 12 yrs ago i used to get pirate copies of games.but not now..i either buy through steam or gog.which imo are the 2 best. i do understand companies using a drm but most gamers hate them so it ends up hurting the company in sales..nice to see companies like cdred moving away from shit like that..although steam is needed for most of my games. |

Originally posted by Hefaistos played original on release but looking at it it really does'nt look much different from the rest..they have changed it to the same old stuff by the look of the vids.has i say the solo games atm are more fulfilling.especially divine divinity and the witcher..those 2 games are two of the best i have ever played.i also think dragon age was awsome..i guess its just my age .i just dont see games today has good as older games..obviouly there are a few like the witcher and dragon age..but very few indeed. |

i,m not much into kickstarter stuff but i put in $15 for legends of dawn on steam greenlight.i was just thinking the other day that i,m sick of playing mmo's and i need ome really new good solo games to play..and we get 2 in the space of a day..not only that Obsidian have got funding for their game awhile ago..thins are looking up for the rpg genre..i suppose in the end the big companies around today just churn out the same shit..hope these games can deliver.

i was looking at planescape..i have heard a lot about it.and i see the original guys are back together to do torment.never played torment.but i hve a shitload of solo games..i even have both witcher games that i could revisit.anything is better than what is out there atm mmo wise i mean.

recenley i bought a couple of mmo's like TSW and Tera and i also have a lifetime sub to lotro..MY secret world is also lifetime..but you know what i cannot login to play any mmo's anymore..dont know if age has caught up with me.for me i have gone in 2 yrs from being addicted to sick of. Atm i just seem to play solo games..i went onto gog.com and bought divine divinity beyond divinity nwn diamond edition inquisitor baldurs gate 2 complete i also installed dragon age 1&2 drakensang drakensang river of time also donated £15 for legends of dawn which go the greenlight on steam it seems i have turned full circle and gone back to all the games that originally got me into gaming..mostly the ones from gog.com apart from inquisitor i also have a question..can you give lifetime subscriptions away..not sell ,give away...i will keep one and that is lotr.mainly because of the story. its really strange how things work out and i would not believe i would be playing the same games 12 yrs on..i would have thought all nice gfx and games would have improved over the yrs but have not..the gfx have but for me the games are nowhere near has good..although nwn is not the best game..it was my first rpg and love the game to bits

Lets's muster this mass respons to FUNCOM, Let's get AoC revitalized and a new starter area!! (Poll)
General Discussion « Age of Conan 3/02/13 4:33:17 AM
Seen has i,m one of those guys who has done tortage on 7xlvl 80's .yeah it does get repetative but its no different than any other mmo..tera is the same.but to the point of a change of start area..i dont think so..it still is the best start area of any mmo i have come across and its ideal to get to know your char.and then there is the cost of the revamp..it would cost a lot to make a new start area..funds that are better spent on end game content...i do wish it would go b2p because it would sell thousands without a doubt..its still one of the best looking games out for its age.the combat is amazing..if only they had'nt screwed up the launch of the game.
