You must teach me how you are able to read minds.  There are quite a few very generous people in the world so I'm amazed that you were able to know their motivations were only in the interest in their company.  And since you know this, maybe you can shed some light as to how this helps their business?  There wouldn't be much of an effect if they said we're keeping all the money for us. 

Maybe they thought hmmm, it wouldn't be right for us to profit on a mistake so lets do the best thing we can. 

The people claiming this is a Diablo clone really have no clue about the depth of this game.  There are so many things that set it apart.  Sockets aren't used for stats but for skill gems and support gems.  The classes are so customizable it is crazy, you can be a casting marauder if you so choose.  The attribute system is completely different with the skill tree. 

Every Action RPG isn't a Diablo clone and there is much more beneath the surface to this game than people are giving it credit for here.

People have gotten so ridiculous when it comes to Betas.  They expect finished products with super high performance for a BETA.  This isn't the official release, it is a BETA which means you should expect problems.

So many spoiled, self-entitled children these days.

I think a lot of people are missing my point.  If you are a professional company rolling out a quality product, there should be pride in EVERYTHING that you put out for the public to see.  While the website itself is not at all important to me, the fact that it looks like a rookie web designer made it is a sign of the care they put into the product. 

I could be wrong and they could just be extremely focused and dedicated to the actual game, but I doubt it.  I envision this being a lousy product, taking advantage of people's ideas of Pathfinder to make a quick buck.

As for the investor part, you are investing your money with the expectation of being able to play the game at a future point.  For all you know, it will collapse and you'll receive nothing for you money.  Either way, complaining about word choice like that is a little pathetic imo.

Here is why:

1.  He is the most feared being in the cosmos.  Who doesn't want to be the most feared being in the cosmos?  I sure do, with fear comes power... or vice versa.

2. He is the sole survivor of the universe before the big bang.  I want to know what that is like and I'm sure it leads to him having some tricks up his sleeves.

3.  He is gigantic, and everyone knows, size matters.

Has the term "MMO" and "persistent" world been changed to arena-style fighting these past years? To me that sounds like thousands of players in a single world that is persistent (Such as of an true MMORPG). But on the site, it goes "instanced MMO PvP" which is just yet another marketing strategy to deceive the consumers. This game isn't an MMO. Its a first-person-sworder.

 

They said MMO-STYLE PvP not that it is a MMO.  Although if they do add a persistent world then I guess it could be considered one, but they have not tried to deceive anyone...

It's a poor mans Titan Quest which was a poor mans D2.

1.  Care to explain?  I really actually like the environment and creatures they are much more dark than D3

2.  Again, how is it more boring than other Action RPGs?  I actually think the gem setup is a really clever unique take on skills and the combat is similar to D2

3.  There will probably be a pay item for this, so no real reason to complain.  Not to mention it forces you to make decisions about your character so everyone doesn't have the same build.

4.  Who cares about story

Overall it is very underrated in my opinion and in many others.

It is all about people remembering novel things as better than they actually are.  For instance, Everquest was the greatest thing ever when it came out, and I remembered it that way, but then I tried playing it again.  So boring I lasted about an hour before quitting again.
