Yup, I got the email too - with no key.

GW2 is a very CPU intenst game, I would bet money you are getting those FPS in crowded areas (CPU intensive). Overclock the CPU and you should see improvements.

The choice: New server or existing one?
General Discussion « Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn 1/17/13 12:33:35 PM
I like to play sub games because it keeps everyone at the same level... I hate joining sub games that have been out for years because I have a huge disadvantage from the start. For those reasons i will be starting on a new server, no reason to join an existing one just to handicap myself.

I bet he used the same password for the game that he uses for his email. So they changed the the account email and then approved it on his email account, then deleted said email.

Unless he is playing on 3 monitors @ 5760x1080 or higher res :) but yes a 690 is way overkill for 1 monitor.

Never heard of that PSU brand, and the CPU does not have copper tubing, so if you can get something like the Hyper 212 Evo you would be better off. Other than that it looks like a very good build if you are keen on spending 2000. |

Here are a few benchmarks with the 7770, pretty much all of the games they tested stayed pretty close to 30 fps avg. Sure it will play those games on high settings but when you have situations where your FPS drop to sub 20, its not always "playable". I consider playable FPS to be 40+ avg where you might see your fps fluctuating from 30-50 fps vs something like 20-40 fps the 7770 will produce. And those are with games that are out right now... leaving him on the very low end (for high settings)where in most games he will already have to lower some settings to play, and that will only get worse as new games come out. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-hd-7770-7750-benchmark,3135-6.html |

Ah ok, I didn't have much time to look at the site, nor do i have time now to put the parts together... Might be a few hours before i can give you anything. Hopefuly someone can help you before then.

True but.. well i guess for me personally i would rather play on high setting than low-medium with slightly faster load screens... Its really up to him.

Well neither of those sites build the computer for you, from what i could tell... You can just order parts from them and they will ship them all to you, then you will have to build the computer. If that is ok with you that is the cheapest and best way to get the parts you want. If you do not want to build the computer... you will have to give us a link to a german site that will build it. To give you an idea of what one might look like here is a link to a USA company http://www.ibuypower.com/Store/Intel_Z77_Core_i5_Configurator NOTE: I have not changed any of the spec on that computer and in no way recommend the computer in the link - it is just an example of a computer building company to give you an idea of what to look for in a german site. |

Can you just give us a link to a german site you would use? Would be much easier, not all computer building companies have the same parts available...

Exactly that is why he should get the better video card now. Due to the fact that it will give him the most improvement to his GAMING computer.

This system is for gaming..... You are telling him to get an SSD to cut out maybe a few seconds on his load screens in games vs better gameplay? He can add that SSD later and it would only take a short amount of time to get windows loaded on it and be good to go making him much better off in the long run going with a good GPU now...

Then spending $200-$300 on a good graphics card now and then waiting a bit to install a SSD? You are basically telling him to spend ~$130 more for the same end results and have worse performance now...... Adding a SSD to an existing system is very easy... |

Are you buying these parts and then building the computer on your own? If so I would get the Hyper 212 evo cpu cooler and not the water cooling system you have listed ( if it is a pre-built system most of the time they don't let you change to a air cooler due to the fact that a big CPU cooler hanging off the mobo is more likely to break something when its shipped to you) If you are using a company to build and send the computer to you, could you give us the website maybe we could help you pick the best parts (that they provide) for the price for your uses. |

That would work, I would try for a GTX 660 or AMD 7870 if you can.
