If you want to know how flight is, bloody try the damn game out rather than moan about how short you think it is. I've played em all, Perfect world, CoX I think someone mentioned WoW flight too and I am not Dissapointed in the Flight Aion is using. Your mileage may vary. p.s Japanese OB is coming up soon. Yes Taiwan, Japan, and then NA/EU launches I think in that order and they have not IP blocked any countries, I am currently playing chinese F2P here in US |

Try playing first, also keep reading, it is like any spell skills that you get even in WoW, they start off small and get bigger. And as for the rest of the game stepping up...that doesn't seem to be a problem. Graphics are awesome, soundrtack 2nd to none, gameplay a load of fun, questing/storyline are well done. |

Sadly I feel the same way. I will watch the game as I really like the idea, but SOE has burned me too often. They took over EQ1 and ruined it, made EQ2 and it is horrible, and Vanguard do we even need to talk about how bad that was. |

Warhammer Online : Age of Reckoning: Jeff Hickman Interview
News Discussion « General Discussion 3/16/09 12:43:41 AM
No matter what everyone else says, I am having a blast. I played in the closed BETA and got a little burned out, I left before the 30 days was up. Went and tried WotLK...same ole WoW, except now everything is easier than ever. Played around for a few on CoH/CoV, it's ok. So then I made my way back to WAR, and am having a ball. It seems everywhere there is a chance for ORvR, or quick popping scenarios. The thing that made it fun for me again, was to stop listening to all the complaints, take my time levelling, hang out with friends in game, and win or lose scenarios or RvR we just laff and go find another fight...most people only post when they just wanna complain about everything, to me it's a fun game....sorry to bring the sunshine. |

Champions Online: Where have all the Villains Gone?
News Discussion « General Discussion 3/10/09 1:43:01 PM
I will be trying out CO, and am anxiously waiting on it. As for DC, I played EQ1, then SOE ruined it; so tried EQ2, SOE failed again; but since I am a sucker for a shiny new MMO, I tried Vanguard, EPIC FAIL. Also both Vanguard and EQ2 continue to have issues and SOE just keeps pumping out content as opposed to bug fixes. So I will stay far away from DC, sadly not even sure I will try it out. |

Dungeons & Dragons Online: DDO Early Game Review
News Discussion « General Discussion 2/21/09 3:26:58 PM
Originally posted by Aganazer I just started playing DDO a month ago. It took about 1 hour to realize that its nothing like any other MMOG. As soon as I hit the gong and the icy floor broke, I knew that DDO was nothing like any other MMOG that I have played before. How is this not clear to the author of the review? Have they even played other MMOG's?
Same here, also the sfx in the crypts is awesome. I am new and only level 2.7, but the immersion in the dungeons is top notch, have been gaming for 10 years and the immersionin the quests is the best I have seen, no kill 6 goblins, then kill 10 more |

I think that people are going to be very disappointed with this game. I'm of the opinion that DC Universe Online will be a much better game as far as gameplay, polish, and care. Cryptic tends to lean to heavily on mathmatics based snooze fests, and I don't think that CO will be any different.
Not so sure that DC will be better, having been a huge EQ1 fan, after SOE took over it became very boring. Also tried EQ2 and Vanguard, and felt the same about those 2 games. If they run it properly, it has a good chance to succeed. However, if they run it the way they normally run games it will be a fail. |

My original favorite game was EQ1, then SoE took it over and I soon started to hate the game. However, being a game addict I tried EQ2 (another SoE game) and soon found I hated it, but being a game addict I tried Vanguard: SoH (another SOE game) and soon found I hated it. Notice a pattern (yeah I know, why do I keep trying) I really liked DC comics growing up, but the fact that SoE is doing it makes me not wanna play it, but being a game addict, I will probably try it...hopefully the end result will be different than my other SOE games. |

Looking for casual/older kinship
General Discussion « Lord of the Rings Online 1/14/09 12:52:29 PM
I used to belong to this kin before I left LoTRO http://www.swiftyandhammo.com/tikiwiki/tiki-index.php?page=homepage
They are a group of older more relaxed people, they are ablast to play with and do in game events for fun like having concerts at The Prancing Pony, Low Level Help Day(they get together make food and items and hlp lower levels with stuff), LoTRO Jeopardy at The Pony...etc. They also raid in a casual environment and do Monster Play, they were the last ALL hobbit guild on Arkenstone. Very fun group of guys/girls. |

Like a lot of others I think it is the most polished MMO. I took a year break from it while I tried other MMo's and none of them lasted with me for more than 1-2 months, except for LotRO. I think it offers the greatest variety of things to do in a MMO and that is where other games fall short. A lot of ppl, will go out and try and "beat the game" by getting max level as fast as they can and then see what is left to do and with WoW there is still quite a bit of things you can do and enjoy the game. |

Get a trial key and check it out. The starting areas for most race/class combos are pretty fun, but imo after you get to about lvl 20 and get your mount the game starts to not have any real point. I mean money no longer matters as you cannot really do anything with it worth while, crafting is a joke, and the ORvR really serves no purpose either.
The game was fun for me for awhile, but burned our on it very fast...sad it had alot of promise imo. |
