Humm the developer say he doesn't play MMORPGS because they are immersion breaking, yet there's nothing immersion breaking about being a bobble head? Really I'm not a graphics elitist but there has to be some standard. the graphics are so ugly they'd be better off just going back to text. (and yes i was around in the comidore 64 text game days) Perma death and PvP is a bad mix. Griefers will just roam in bands and kill everyone in smaller group then them to get their giggles. How many times will getting killed and having to become your slightly weaker hier be when your ganked daily? It will happen griefer live for that type of game. Some good idea's but sorry I drw the line at playing a bobble head these days. if i wanted that I'd own a consule instead of a PC |

(Oh yes thats terrible!) Funny the kid came here QQ about it. Seriously the haters are alot of fun if somewhat pathetic in their lame attempts. Its not just a SW:tor thing of course they were there for rift, and wow, and will be there when GW2 comes out. Some just can't help themselves and love to hate or basically if they can't have fun in a game no one else should be able to either so it must be destroyed. (you'd think they'd make great sith considering : )) |

EA and Bioware aren't going anywhere for banning a 12 y/o per their rules. At lest most of the SW:tor haters can come up with something alittle less assine then this to complain about..
If he wasolder then 12 he could simply show proof to EA/bioware to get his account back. Notice he nowhere says he's made any attempt to? (because he can't)

Diablo 3: Changing Systems to Get It Right
News Discussion « General Discussion 1/19/12 10:31:05 PM
Interesting... It seems its Jay's job to remiove things from the game. And while most of us could remove things fairly fast its takes jay months to remove game features and dumb down the game? God wish I had Jays job. looks like he's just milking the cash cow as long as he can push back release wonder what else Jay will remove from the game and howmany more months said removals will take. Senior management in D3 must be stupid or have their heads buried in the sand. haha they spend thousands (millions?) of dollars and years of developement to make feature just to spend thousands more and months more in delays to remove said features. |

ANet's biggest strength: Vision and Understanding
General Discussion « Guild Wars 2 1/16/12 7:33:12 PM
Vision? Really some people just always buy into the hype. theres gonna be alot of disappoited GW2 fans when the game is released and people find out... its just a game perhaps a good one, but nowhere near living up to the mythical hype people boght into. |

Rift is pretty much dead, 1 starting zone for each side really kills any replayabilty. The rifts become fairly old quickly as one learns that weither you do them or flat out ignore them like most seem to do these days it has no effect on the game whatsoever. As almost everyone is lvl 50 these days new comers really have no choice but to power level through the content to get to 50 unless, another newbie has joined with you. Rift if the least community oriented game I've ever player no one talks or origanising anything as there is no need . Players doing thier own thing will converge/zerg on whatever rift/raid is happened and finished it and depart without ever saying a word most of the time. besides Rifts killed off most of its dragons by now. Soon there will only be the death dragon left. Rifts really painted themselves into a coner on that one. Haven't played WoW in along time but basically wow still does everything better then rift and at least we don't have to look at those egomanical postings of rifts COE every other month . Unfortunately I'm still subscribed to rift. (didn't cancil my 6 month sub fast enough) But even though I'm paid though the next 3 months i have no intention or ever going back |

World of Warcraft: What is a “WoW Killer?”
News Discussion « General Discussion 1/16/12 10:03:01 AM
MoP is a WoW killer |

Originally posted by Crosswire All to their own. i found Rift fairly boring nothing but grind with no one talking you know just the occasional player running by to take part in whatever rift/raid was happening, no one ever chatting or origanising. In any case the rifts get old fast, have no effect and are very repetative. Eve? What type of monical are they selling these days? SW:tor is fun for the story has updates and content patches faaster then any other game so far and is a geat little group game i don't need 40 man raids to have fun a 4 person group is much more to my liking. I suppect more then a few doomsayers and haters here will be disappointed when their prodictions of everyone dropping SW:tor don't come true. But hey everyine needs a hobby . :)

Star Wars: The Old Republic: Bonus Series? Or Troll Series? You Decide!
News Discussion « General Discussion 1/06/12 4:13:51 AM
So the OP is complaining about there being too much content in the game?! Where do they get these writers? More is better then less, just because the Op is in a rush to reach 50 and end game ie game over. Doesn't mean everyone is of the same mind |
|
|
seriously if the Op is a example of the worst thing the haters can come up with to attack SW:tor and EA/Bioware then they must really be running scared or have never player any MMO WoW had a hundred times more problems then SW:tor did on releaase ie days of downtime etc |

Honestly ! Who would actually pay 15 a month for this???
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 1/06/12 3:03:43 AM
Not having any issue with the game it has as much life as any other MMO and is alot of fun. i'm paying 15 dollars and as long as theres content I will continue to do so. One has to laugh at the hater/flame bait threads like these. |

Originally posted by mastersomrat No the game is dead and has been dying for years with server mergers to try and hide the almost continous loss of players. By todays standars Vangaurd is nothing special graphically, gameplay elements are all very dates, and bugs from release still exist. There is minimal to no dev support (less the SWG and we all know wht happened to that game) its a game totally on station pass life support |

Guild Wars 2: Our last glimmer of hope?????????
General Discussion « Guild Wars 2 12/31/11 6:49:53 PM
Originally posted by Epicent i believe you will be sorely let down my friend. no game ever lives up to the hype, niether will GW2 and unfortunately people keep buying/believing the hype. makinge GW2 out to be some second coming. It won't be. Will GW2 be a good game? probably. Will it be all your hopes and dreams and everythuing its been hyped to be? No |
|
actually the game has no depth the game does not focus on the players and ones choices have no effect. basically your whole game will be go kill 10 xrats rinse repeat with the rats occasionally becomeing stronger/different monsters. its a treadmill experience plain and simple. SOE itself is more then happy to let players accounts be hacked because they can't be bothered to do anything to protect their customers till they get caught with there pants down and FORCED to actually do something from the fallout. I played eq2 for many years it had its moments but its time is past now its just a more expensive then subsuscrption f2p money grab for soe |
