What an amazing game Dragon Age Origins is.. a single player game, full of depth and content that plays a bit like an MMO with AI controlled teamates.. extraordinaire.

Lets hope MMO devs take some ideas from DAO into the MMO market.

pretty sure Aion was the most sucessful game for bots gold sellers and ebayers in the last years... at least the first month.. lets see who stays after 2nd November..

Yeah I am sure that there are a ton of people who will still play Aion. However the vast majority of MMOG players are getting the feelings of dejavu by now with Aion because it really is just the same old shtick with a slightly different skin. Just like every other game, the honeymoon period is coming to a close and the hype and newness is wearing off and people are looking forward to the next big thing...

 

You know what is more sad and very Ironic?

That Tabula Rasa was actually a much better game. If NCSoft just had given it a chance and actually tried to fix it.

The whole combat system of Tabula Rasa was 100 times more fluid and smooth as hell. And TAB targeting actually worked.

The mob AI in Tabula Rasa was also 100 times better. The Alien drop ships dropping off patrols and such. Best thing I've ever seen in an MMO to date.

They just had to fix the skill trees and add more content. That's all.

Yes Tabula Rasa was very nice, pitty the korean graphic pseudo artists who completly screwed the player toons looks and stuff like that.

They never got to implemente the mechs either.. that alone would have saved TR imo.. was a game with loads of potencial badly explored imo.

yes the game is kinda reborn in my opinion.

Lots of people playing it.. loads and loads of new players, and the game was improved a lot in terms of mechanics and a bit in terms of graphics, now with dx10 etc.

The introduction of the new server Cannith was a very good move by Turbine.. people dont need to compete with people who were farming for 5 years.. so everyone kinda at same foot, wich is quite refreshing and might be the reason why so many people joinned.

 Y same here.. after 35 was just a waste of time.. when after 3 days i could not find the will to even log in game i knew it was time to move to something else as i did.
 

I do respect the tenacity and persistance of people who will grind their toons up to 50 tho.. its by all means a feat to recon of human resistance vs insanity and boredom.

Just a lil thing some people should be aware off :

If you die at theese levels.. you loose so much exp that it becomes stresseful. its a waste of time. This is even more insane if you are one of the unlucky who get dc'ed a lot.. not my case but i know some people who are hehe.

Other factors contributed to my decision too ofc..

The economy is totally bot / farmers controlled. The killstealing is a common policy.. and the auction is full of overpriced items ment to force people to buy cash with real life cash..

The bot farming and gold spamming have got to an unthinkable level.. a level that i never met in any game i have played since 1989 or so.. i mean.. its just sick. They should do like SOE did in Eq2 and open real life cash transfers and sellings on some servers.. way better than this spamming fest in my humble opinion.

About the men from boy separation.. id say men will stop playing this waste of time while boys will keep playing this closed inside their rooms cos really theres nto much else they can do :)

So in a sense ya.. separates men from boys.. boys will keep grinding to 50.

NCsoft should hire the reviewer.. really.

On the other hand.. doubt that reviewer will have a bright future as journalist.. but then life is full of surprises.

Funcom? What is it?

Now serious.. pretty sure no funcom game under that brand will ever ever enter this house again. Not even when dogs grow wings.

same here. Account is cancelled already.. the game is going down the pipe fast.. might even set a new record on the speed in wich it reaches the pipes end..

Aion website is the last place anyone who wants an opinion about Aion should go !

MMORPG.com is quite good in providing diferent views about Aion since its an almost free of speech comunity.

it is my belif for a while that what the op is saying is a truth.. and that indeed NCSoft is behind the gold spamming paradise that is Aion.

Tbh i alreayd had some suspicious about it in Lineage2 aswel.. but at least there we could screw them and even kill them temporarly breaking their dishonest business.

In Aion we cannt even kill them.. :p

WAR has a better system, Need before Greed works fine by taking priority when choosing items.. NEED can only be chosen by the classes able to wear/use the item.

Still.. if everyone was polite and respectful of everyones class thaere wouldnt be any need for this..

game was released too early.. some quests like this are lacking or bugged.. this one beeing a very important one at early 30s.. sad.

farmers hide behind proxy for instance... a lot.

People need to realise the anomity is something not cool, beeing behind an anomity face brings the worst from people.. but if peoples use a service identified they tend to respect the others and generally behave.

Proxy servers should be completly banned, from games and any services web related or websites.

to the op.. if you like asnos so much.. play their faction.. for me and for most of my friends.. having feet claw like etc , living in a gray bluish world seems to be the worst face of the coin.. thus we play Elyos.

They must have banned the wrong people... gold spamming live as ever.

Asmodae is associated with all that is distorced, ugly, unnatural, sick and the general definition of a society lacking values, honor and friendship.

Elyos is the oposite..

I guess it will depend on what you feel more connected with.

I picked Elyos, and its with sadness that everyday, in the Aion Universe, i need to be merciful with the poor asmodae creatures who cross my path.. and have them tasting the steel of my sword.. giving them a quick and painless way to meet their creator.

Pretty sure you have a block limit.. and at the rate the spam goes, you might reach it quite fast.
