The first one I can remember playing was an arcade game call Out Run.  It's was a racing game, blew lots of quarters on it at the corner market that had a couple of arcade games.

Until someone is able to reduce the amount hackers this game will not be worth seriously playing - F2P or not.

I like WAR's combat too.  But for me the perfect MMO would have to incorporate FPS aspects.  It is hard to do this obviously, APB and Global Agenda tried and failed, although they really can't be considered mmo's.  In fact I would consider a game like Battlefeild 2 more MMO like then they are/were.

I think if someone ever pulls off an AAA openworld-FPS mmo it would be a game changer for all mmo's/games.  Of course once they made the perfect game aim botters would ruin it.

I know APB crashed and burned, but I would still like to see a true grand theft auto style sandbox mmo.  where you could roam the city and really do anything you want.

Something like the V-world on Caprica.

Have you tried the game in the last year or so or are you just rehashing old launch problems?

Alot of games now require a steam account - otherwise I would not have one.  I prefer boxed games.

The Only two I quit playing during/after the free month were:

STO - I uninstalled game after about three weeks of play.

APB - I uninstalled game the day before it closed - after I had used the original 50 hours that came with the game.

I gave everything else at least 2-3 months.

So you quit playing because one of your tanks got killed by a spearman?  Obviously you must of been crushing the nation you were at war with if they had spearmean and you had tanks - why get all bent out of shape over one tank?  If you are the type of person who quits because of that, I'm glad you will pass on this game - I hate players who quit in multiplayer because thier sorry excuse of a warrior rush failed.

Where are these SWG fans saying that swtor is not starwarsy enough?  I was a huge SWG fan before NGE.  I can't wait for swtor.  I get all teary eyed watching the cinematic trailers.  The game will be great I'm sure.  It will be like the Kotor stories, which are not as good as the original movies or some of the books, but are decent.

Do I wish they would make SWG2 at some point, hell yes.  But my gaming interests are varied and I have a place in my heart for both theme park and sandbox games.   For whatever reason it is more difficult to make a good sandbox game, so I'm not going to stay up waiting for the next good one.  (EVE sucks)

This patch defintely made the game much better.  I hope they can make more zones soon.  This game would be awesome if the had a zone that it was straight crims vs enf.  Maybe have some type of capture zone control aspect.  The limit of 4v4 or 5v5 is lame.

I have been looking for a game to replace SWG for the last three years.  Thried Wow, could not get past level 40 before I was completely bored, same with a half dozen others I have tried since I quit becasue of NGE.  The funny thing is I think I remember the good more then the bad when it comes to SWG.  I downladed the trail a few weeks ago and found a clunky game that is boring and has horrible graphics.  I think I loved SWG because of friends I had and the leveling system prior to NGE.  But the game kinda sucks and reminds me of when I dust off the Regular Nintendo to play Mario.  It is fun for a few minutes, but it would not be something I would go back and spend tons of time with.

I'm sick of the fanasty world of orcs, elves, etc.  I want a great sci-fi mmo.  I really looking forward to trying earthrise, SWTOR, and maybe DC universe.  Hopefully one of them will be one I can play for years like I did with SWG.

I just resubbed.  As of right now I'm having fun playing around with a custom character.  But you're right, it is a shallow game.  After buying APB, I can see it is not near the most shallow.  It can keep my attention for a few months.   I like CO.  But I will probably unsub next month when Civ 5 comes out.

This game was really fun for the first week or so.  After that it became unplayable imo.  I don't mind losing in pvp, in fact that is why I play pvp.  I like the challenge.  However I hate this game because at least half of the missions I have absolutely no chance to win - skills or no.  Either I'm matched up with an AFKer or playing against aimboters with nl9's.  It is no fun to end up having to just turn in cars while on mission because someone has the checkpoint covered with thier aimbot.

I resubed Champions online the other day to hold me over until a good mmo comes out, that is how bad this game is.

How did APB cost 100 Million to make?

Because the game is only fun for those 800 people who are level 300 and in 4 man teams.  This game is not for those who just want to have casual fun, so that excludes alot of potential players.  I'm about ready to give up on this one.
